My wife is from southern China and the restaurant owners are from northern China so they were speaking mandarin about the food. The noodles, dumpling wrappers, everything is homemade and authentic. This place is a very rare find in the San Antonio area and I highly recommend it! We ordered the pan fried pork dumplings, pork and shrimp dumplings, pig ear and beef pancakes. My favorite was the pan fried pork and shrimp dumplings but all of it was outstanding. I'm still amazed at the food quality and portion sizes to the price. This is a huge value. No one can beat it! We rarely eat out anymore because the quality is down, the service usually sucks and the prices are way up. Not this place. We will definitely be coming back!

When I heated up some leftovers I combined the gailan with the lo mein which really elevated the whole thing. It's like you can taste the love that they cook into the food. Five stars!

TK Teriyaki Kitchen is by far the BEST authentic Asian cuisine in the neighborhood. We eat there and take out regularly. It's so refreshing to NOT have to drive far for great tasting food. The food is delicious! The owners are so accommodating, example: I can't have rice and they offered me extra veggies. Perfect for my low carb way of eating. My favorite is teriyaki chicken it's tender, juicy and cooked to perfection over a bed of rice or in my case veggies! Yum! The beef and broccoli is also fantastic! The beef is so tender and the broccoli is not over cooked. I can't say enough about their egg drop soup, it's not thick and yellow like the typical soups in San Antonio. I am born and raised in Chicago and this reminds me of China town back home. A perfect chicken broth based soup. Try adding some hot oil to yours, we call that "spicy egg drop soup" but a MUST have are the crab wantons they are amazing! They are literally stuffed and bursting at the seams. The owner shows you each order before wrapping it up to go so if you're not completely satisfied THAT would be the time to speak up, but I have zero complaints. The teriyaki sauce is the best I've ever had. It's not overly sweet or sticky. The egg drop soup is traditional and perfectly peppered, not full of corn starch like other places. We had looked up teriyaki spots from around all areas and decided to try this since it looked like what we craved from back in California, Yoshinoya. Moved to San Antonio from Southern California last year and have been searching desperately for chicken teriyaki like "back home".
