The chicken itself was 50% fat and tasted greasy and chewy. The rice is yellow and tastes like vegetable oil. By far THE worst Chinese food I have had in a very long time. Looking for a place to eat some Chinese food since I'm visiting the east side... typed in Chinese food here in yelp and this was the closest restaurant to me and with almost 5 stars you know I had to try it:) Also the east side has some of the best Chinese foods that I've had! You go east side! Very welcoming staff, clean restaurant, easy menu selections, great lunch and dinner specials. The egg foo yong was SO delicious with large shrimp and the gravy was good, I could tell it was soy sauce based, nice and rich! I'm from the east coast and in the 13 years that I've been in San Antonio I've never been able to find comparable chinese food. Today that changed. The shrimp fried rice was perfect!! Just like back home...and they use large shrimp, not those little salad shrimp like other places. The other reviews are correct. This place is clean enough to eat inside. The portions are large. This place also know at Suyen's Chinese restaurant was the only Chinese restaurant open in the area. My husband and I decided to try it out. I've always been leery about this place. There are never any cars aka no customers during working hours. We had the chicken and broccoli and sesame chicken with the fried rice. The chicken and broccoli was okay. The sesame chicken had too much breading. I think I found a glimpse of chicken within the breading. Last but not least, the fried rice....it tasted about a week old. It had such a weird flavor.
