As it was getting close to dinner time and lines of red lights abound on route 80 toward Jersey, my partner and I made a detour and came to this establishment for supper located in Upper Mt Bethel. Parking was not a problem and found a spot. Upon arrival, there were several patrons around the bar area enjoying the sport channel. We got a table by the window in the main dining room. Our server was Jackie and very attentive. As a starter, we ordered to share mozzarella sticks. They came out hot with a side of marinara sauce. It was okay. As an entree, French Dip Sandwich consisting of Top Round Roast Beef, Sautéed Onion & Swiss with a side of au jus and Chicken Cheesesteak with onions, mushroom and American Cheese. Both accompanied with crispy fries and pickles. Man, the sandwiches were ginormous and delicious. If you are in the area, give this place a try. read more

Family-friendly dining environment with a menu which is also family-friendly on the budget. Decent food choices with great presentation and larger than usual serving sizes for every dish we ordered. Unfortunately, while the presentation was colorful, the flavors were a bit bland. Some dishes were low on salt, the French onion soup had a overpowering tomato soup flavor with too many crisp chunks of onions that were undercooked. The ribs however were ON POINT! Saucy, flavorful and meaty... this was probably the best dish on the table. The bruschetta appetizer needed more italian seasoning and served on a toasted, and not soggy , slice of bread. It's a great bar and grill style joint. Breakfast has never disappointed. Lunch and dinner are equally as good. Definitely something on the menu for everyone. Disappointed is how we felt when we left what was once one of our favorite restaurants. My wife ordered coconut shrimp, homestyle mashed potatoes, and broccoli, I ordered the 16oz New York Strip, homestyle mashed potatoes, and carrots. To start the "homestyle mashed potatoes" were nothing more than instant potatoes of poor quality. The 16oz. New York Strip was most probably 12oz with most of the weight being in grizzle. I have gone to TK'S Thanksgiving dinners and also lunches and have always enjoyed their food and service and decided to take my family to the Easter dinner. Arrived on time for my reservation for 6 at 1pm. Two other couples where ahead of us checking in. Took awhile because receptionist kept running back to dining room. I thought she was setting up tables . She didn't seem to know how to check the reservation list and I had to help her find my reservation. She checked it off and said "Just a minute" and ran back to dining room. So I stepped off to the side with other two couples and waited. A large party of ten arrived and eventually receptionist comes back and checks them in and immediately seats them. After their arrival smaller parties arrive and receptionist seats some while others wait. Finally I went to her to ask when we would be seated as we had already been checked in and waiting 20 minutes to be seated. She asked my name and told me my reservation was at six pm and I again had to tell her it was for 6 at 1pm, and again had to point it out to her on the list. She asked me to wait two minutes and again we are waiting and eventually were seated at the last and worst table in room between a wall and a column so those seated on ends of table barely had room to pull their chairs out to sit. The food was barely warm. Grandson likes macaroni & cheese and said it was cold. I tried it and had to agree. Everyone's food was cold. The ribs were full of fat and gristle. Only thing good was the salad bar, our waitress and the delicious desserts and their presentation. Tried to pay my bill with a $50 gift card and balance on credit card and seemed like she didn't know how to do that so told her to just put it all on my credit card. We have been going to TKs for years for their fabulous, well-priced breakfasts. Last couple of years have made occasional stops for lunch and/or dinner. I must say they are stepping up the quality of their offerings. Most recently I ordered a special: shrimp & scallops over linguini. It was great. 9-10 shrimp (guessing 13-15lb size) tails on, cooked perfectly. Many sea scallops. Fettuccine was just passed al dented (perfect IMHO) . Served in a lite Alfredo-like sauce. There was a hint of garlic. I added lots of grated cheese and black pepper and it was delish. Side salad was fresh, crisp and almost large enough for a meal. Wasn't given salt, pepper, straws, napkins or ketchup. Food came out wrong, totally different dish because I asked for provolone cheese instead of mozzarella. (?) Tried to get a drink, don't spend your $$ there as it has NOTHING in it. When addressing the situation, no manager available, so an old Russian lady came out and told me I was in the wrong. My husband and I always have the best time when dining out. TK's offers a wide variety on the menu. Our server had a great personality and then some. The best food, service and drinks around. Even though there is a bar, the restaurant offers a dinning section along side of an easily accessible outdoor dining experience. What a refreshing experience! Excellent service, homey atmosphere and great food! Service: This service was excellent. We received everything promptly and perfectly timed. After receiving snail service (an hour wait for food) at other places, this place put us at ease and gave us that good ol nj pace that we were used to. However, our server (Carrie) still gave us that pa friendliness and hospitality all while remaining efficient. At one point there was a rush of four tables and other members of the staff jumped in to help immediately. Food: Delicious Lobster Bisque!! Went to Mt. Bethel for a quiet, weekend getaway and ate here for dinner one night. Wasn't expecting much from the local restaurant considering the town is mostly farmland and not very populated which means probably not too much business on a daily basis for this place. But was pleasantly surprised. The all you can eat salad bar was fresh and included with the price of most entrees, which was really nice. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The meals came out with huge portions. My boyfriend ordered the baby back ribs which tasted pretty good. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. The sauce was very creamy and buttery. There was a bit too much sauce on the plate but the shrimp were big, fresh and flavorful! The restaurant was clean on a Sunday night and although no one else was dining at the time, the waitstaff still seemed to want to put their best food forward instead of being lazy and just counting the hours til they can go home (which happens quite a bit at some establishments). Let me tell you what, if you're local and looking for a good breakfast/brunch place, this is it. I ordered a Bloody Mary, fantastic. I had the pancakes. Out of this world. I also had the Florentine Eggs Benedict. Absolutely mind blowing. The home fries were cooked and cut to perfection and everything melted together beautifully. This place is so under rated and overlooked for breakfast. My advice would be to get there soon before word gets out. 10/10 read more

This place has always been close by and I've avoided going there because people have always given me one reason or another not to go. But eventually I got around to it and decided to give it a try. The service was as expected, the food was decent and at least I didn't go to bed hungry. Although the chicken parm was incinerated to the point were the outside was almost inedible. The soda... now this is what got me. We ended up paying a fortune for a pitcher of soda that you didn't get a refill on. And by that I mean it's ok not to give refills on a pitcher that was 80% ice 20% soda. But don't offer us another pitcher without telling us that it is extra and not a refill. So yeah, ended up paying $110 for a chicken parm, two wraps, and a taco salad.... and soda read more

Great restaurant. The food is always very tasty. The chili especially is outstanding as is the salad bar. The staff is welcoming and always in good cheer. The bar is a friendly place to meet both old and new friends. Back for dinner another night. Everything delicious as always. The chicken piccata Is wonderful with very large caper berries. The service has always been terrific. The restaurant is very busy tonight with many diners and adequately staffed with at least four waitresses inside. Food, drinks and ambiance are pretty 'plain vanilla'. The breakfast is a good value. Generally the waitstaff are better than the food, and I would put a cherry on top of the ice cream for never having any problems. Interesting to note, that I've come here a couple dozen times and never had a reason to not return. I'd say that's fairly unusual. read more

The shrimp cocktail is horrendously overpriced... 9 dollars for 4 jumbo shrimp. At least they tasted good. The lettuce at the salad bar was pretty damp, but crisp at least. The shrimp in the broiled stuffed shrimp entree tasted freezer burned and had no other flavor. The stuffing was sort of dry and very tasteless. My sides - mashed potatoes with gravy and corn - came out lukewarm. The waitress was really nice and did a great job. The place had very few customers, although it might be common for a Tuesday night. read more
