Craving donuts for a Saturday morning while watching Formula One Sprint Qualifying, the short drive made for a quick takeout order. Upon arrival I was surprised to see a quaint, small shop with donuts that appeared to be beyond the usual shop with run-of-the-mill offerings that are typical for the local area. This shop had doughnuts such as: Myer Lemon, French Toast, Raspberry Cheesecake, Lemon Drop, Fruity Pebbles, Boston Cream, Cream Brûlée, Blueberry, and others that made my mouth water and my eyes pop! The shop attendant was very friendly, and customer service oriented, and offered suggestions for my purchase. The $19.95 for a half dozen looked attractive, and I proceeded to purchase a Raspberry Cheesecake, Maple Back, Coconut, Boston Cream, Cream Brûlée, and a Lemon Curd and dashed to the car to catch the F1 action at home. Along with a fresh cup of home brewed black coffee, I sampled a quarter section of each donuts, and to my surprise each donut was delicious, fresh and not overly sweet! The texture of the donuts were perfect, and each one was spectacular in its own way. I mean they were your average mom and pop donut shop which would get them 3 stars you know average. But they go down to 2 stars because they charge so much for basic tasting donuts. I was actually surprised the photos of the I would say "" luxury donuts had gotten my attention, but it's all about the taste. I walked in there really wasn't that much but I guess they do quality over quantity. We got a chocolate spring. Sprinkle one a basic chocolate sprinkle it was OK.
