As it was a bit slow, Amy took me immediately for a regular pedicure and Dip powder on my hands. For my pedicure, she used brand new tools right out of the package and loved how clean they were. I will say that if you're expecting an over the top scrub down on the bottom of your feet-- this may not be it but they still did a good job in other areas. Amy did follow through with a great foot massage which was greatly appreciated. As for my hands, her attention to details and loved how natural my hands turned out. She was efficient and fast too. First time I came for an…read moreappointment, it was for a new set of gel acrylics. the nails were misshapen and lengths were off. the colors I wanted were both unavailable so I settled for a color I was not happy with. The edges of my nails were sharp and i had to go home and file them down. I gave this salon another shot, and it ended up being a mistake. I asked for a basic manicure. I made it very clear over the phone when booking the appointment, and I made it clear when I arrived at the front desk. The nail tech spent 10 mins trying to convince me to do gel. Why do I have to argue with you? I don't want gel. It ruins my nails. Finally she gives in. shapes my nails for about 30 seconds, cut 4 cuticles. the paint job was awful, almost like she was annoyed with me and chose to take it out on my nails. Also, as the base coat, she used an odd clear GREEN nail polish which I am certain made my nails chip the very next day. When she did my hand massage it consisted of her putting a glob of cream on my hand and pointing to me to rub it in my hands. She painted my nails and the color was all over my fingers. When she waved me over to the drying station I asked her to clean up my fingers, I asked for some nail polish remover since she did not want to do it. She ended up PAINTING MY SKIN WITH CLEAR NAIL POLISH AND SCRATCHING IT OFF WITH HER NAIL. I wish I was making this up. My feeling is the whole experience was intentionally awful since I asked for a basic manicure, and if that's your business model you should be ashamed of yourself. 0 stars.

Some were great for a short while but after some time started falling short of my standards. That has not been the case here. I have been booking services at Lavo for around 5 months now and my nails have never looked better. For starters, they have an all-star receptionist. She is so kind and helpful and on top of her job! They are a very busy salon and yet I never have trouble booking an appointment. They are as accommodating as can be. Even when they miss my phone call, I instantly receive a call or text back. I have been serviced by several nail technicians and they are all so very talented. I never bother booking with a specific tech because I know that no matter who I see, they will do an amazing job I was recommended doing soft gel manicures and it has been the best decision ever made. My career is very physical so i would often have a lot of wear and tear on my nails but not with soft gel. The gel polish never chips and my nails have never been stronger. I am usually able to go 4 weeks with my nails still looking great but ready for a fill. I love this salon and as long as I live within a drivable distance I will never change. They are cash or zelle/venmo only. So be prepared. And in my opinion they are charging fairly for services considering the quality of the work. Thanks Lavo!

Both of them take their time and always stop to ask if you are comfortable and happy with the shape, color, etc. They place extra emphasis on prepping your nails before polish, which is one of the reasons I think my nails last so long. Please keep in mind that it is only the two of them working, so they may not be able to take you on short notice. However, in the past they have kept my name down and called when someone else cancels which I greatly appreciate! Also note that it is located on Main Street so will have to find street parking.
