This place was really good. We were so excited to try everything we forgot to take pictures. The Quesabirria De Res (3 quesabirria tacos) were excellent, although some bites were quite a bit spicy. My kiddo enjoyed the Flautas de Pollo, they were OK but not very seasoned. My other kiddo got the kids nachos but he didn't love the beans. The rest of us liked them and he ate all of the kids quesadilla with chicken. We also tried some tacos. The Al Pastor was very good. The chorizo was good but quite spicy. I wanted to try the carne asada based on other people's review, but I definitely prefer the carne asada at Tortilleria Allison in Poughkeepsie. The Conchita Pbil was a tasty taco as well. I definitely prefer the tortillas at Tortilleria Allison (these were falling apart by the time we got to the end). We also tried a Paloma which was good. Overall a solid choice for food and it looks like they have good taco Tuesday deals (3 tacos for $10 and $8 margaritas), so I'd definitely come back for that or the quesabirria tacos. Also interested in trying the empanadas. This is a place you order and pick up at the counter and kinda sit at community tables, but everyone working there was lovely. read more

I came here over the weekend for lunch. When I walked inside, the first thing I noticed was how nice it was decorated. The guy behind the counter was kind and answered any questions we had. My sister and I ordered the bowl with tinga de pollo, and it was DELICIOUS! The chicken tasted so good; everything was good. My brother got tacos. I can't remember which ones he got, but he said they were delicious. I also ordered a horchata, which was delicious! I live hours away from this place, which I am sad about, or I would be a regular here. Definitely check them out if you live in the area. read more

Visited while on our way back to Long Island and had a quick yummy experience. Emily at the counter was so attentive. The watermelon margarita was refreshing --perfect for the muggy day. It's nice to see a new addition to PV, a Mexican food establishment. One of my family members spotted this place a couple of weeks back while driving through the parking lot. Up close, it had a lot of decorative signs and drawings, which is definitely a great way to glow. The inside is fairly big, with a couple of tables to sit at and also a waiting area bench to the far back. It was easy to move around even when it was busy, in our case, at dinner time. A lot to provide on the menu, and went with our choices within a few minutes of deciding. Enough workers were staffed, and each of them did a great job playing their part, along with customer service. The food we got was good for the most part, nothing too special to write home about. The flavoring was the big thing that caught our attention, just not adding up to the tasty level - but everything was cooked just right and that's all that matters. The best Mexican meal I have had since...1972. Clean, friendly, exceptional traditional fare. Never had cactus. Loved it. Interior was bright and welcoming and the people were great. The menu was extensive and different in a fabulous way. I can't wait to have breakfast. Used bathroom to wash hands, lighting was a little dim but water was hot and the bathroom looked clean and had all the essentials. Just opened welcome to PV. The food we have had from here has been fantastic. We have tried both the chicken burrito and beef burrito. Both were tremendous portions. The quesadilla was so delicious. Take out is ready when they tell you. Eating in is great, decorated very bright and vibrant. Was not a big fan of the in house seating. Too many high metal stools without backrest to sit in. They did have some lower stools too at least. Hopefully that will be changed to more comfortable seating in the near future. Looking forward to many more delicious meals here. read more

horrible service, i ordered nachos and when they put it in the oven the cheese was still shredded and not even melted. when i went to go ask for them to melt the cheese it seemed like they put it in for a second. Just picked up Tacos here yesterday - very tasty, handmade corn tortilla's generously filled - smiling service - I had 1 Carne Asada Taco & 1 Pescadero Taco - love that you can mix & match! I'm not one for writing reviews. My wife and I tried this place last night and we think this is hands down the best place for Mexican food for miles. I loved the birria tacos. They were packed not only with meat but with flavor. These beat the ones I've had in San Diego by a long shot. My wife said the carne asada was the best she's had in awhile.
