My upstairs bathroom shower/bath combo faucet was leaking little then all of a sudden the shower didn't work anymore. I figure it should be easy and I can fit it myself. I took out the faucet and then I realized it was over my head. I contacted Elmer @ TLC Construction. He replace the whole fixtures for the shower. He made a hole on the back side of the shower. I didn't have to replace any of the tile, which saved me a lot of money. I also asked him to put a panel where the hole will be so I can have easy access to the faucet in the fixture. Our bathroom ceiling had fairly severe water damage caused by a water leakage from the above unit. I reached out to Elmer at TLC construction and he was incredibly prompt at providing me with an estimate after I shared with him photos of the damages that needed repair. We scheduled a date and Elmer was helpful and responsive in following up with me in advance of the scheduled repair date. Elmer and his team provided all the repair supplies, all I had to provide was the paint. Elmer and his team did a magnificent job repairing and repainting the ceiling drywall along with water damage on my bathroom door frame. I've provided the before and after photos. Elmer and his team did such a wonderful job that it looks like my bathroom never had any water damage! I also wanted to highlight that his team did a fantastic job ensuring the apartment floors and bathroom were protected from construction damage. They hung up tarp and laid down floor protection to prevent scratches and spread of dust. As for value, I would say Elmer and TLC construction were fairly reasonable. I initially contacted Elmer about 3 years ago to get a quote for installing a moisture barrier in my home's crawl space. I live in Daly City where the inside joke about rice cookers being on 24/7 is an actual thing.. The fog here is always hella moist and causing mold problems. So once my budget allowed me to finally get this project going, I had no hesitation contacting Elmer again since his quote was very reasonable. From an outside world perspective, we all know how inflation has pretty much made everything double in price in the last 3 years. But not Elmer! He barely increased the cost of my initial quote. His crew gets to work on my crawl space and finished within a weeks time. I made a last minute decision to remove the old insulation in my attic space and lay in new material as well as adding a sump pump to the aforementioned crawl space. Again this was all doable because Elmer was very reasonable with his pricing. All in, Elmer and crew finished the work within 3 weeks. We had the bad luck to discover mold from a leaking pipe inside a closet wall a couple of months after buying our condo. The leak extended down to the unit below us.
