5 stars for all areas. Professional, efficient, courteous. We take all three of our 3 dogs (ranging toy-sized to large breeds) here mostly for nail clippings and they are SO sweet with them! You can tell they are true animal lovers. So refreshing to have local businesses with such outstanding professionalism and genuine love for what they do. Will be back many times!

I asked for recommendations on Paradise Rants and Raves and just about everyone suggested this place. It's right up the street from my house...so, perfect. I have 2 small dogs that DO NOT like having their nails trimmed. They were SO kind and loving to my dogs, my dogs didn't even know what happened. LoL I'm SO IMPRESSED I can't even tell you! SO NICE. I left with 2 happy dogs and I was not stressed out either. I will go back for sure and I am telling everyone I know. Thank you so much. read more

We took our French Bulldog in for a quick nail trim and were very happy with TLC Grooming. There was no need for an appointment and the treatment was quick and painless. She made my dog feel comfortable by talking to him the whole time and making him familiar with the tools and the process. We will definitely be making a trip to TLC Grooming by Candice on a regular basis. read more

TLC is under new management..YAHOO!!!!! What a wonderful place to have your dog groomed. The NEW OWNER CANDICE IS AMAZING. MY DOG WAS ROMIE is a ornery One and actually quieted down once I left. They are very RESONABLE and KIND. MY dog always needs her nails dremeled for a smooth finish and that's what they did. Her helper was wonderful, too! I'm very happy with their service. My dog has been suffering from foxtail's and a thick Velcro coat, a medium terrier long hair mix named Hydro. I have to say...her husband greeted my dog and within seconds Hydro was giving him kisses on his arm, which is typically unusual for Hydro, he usually just panics. He's had many medical problems over the past two years. He thinks when he gets in the car it's going to be a miserable experience- TLC goes to the effort of making your canine comfortable and welcomed. I know my dog was annoying and whiney while he was there- because I know my canine through and through but the company accommodated him at the best to their ability, we will be back. I could not ask more of a professional groomer! Thank you TLC! My dog looks great! And he feels great too! read more

I just have to write another review of TLC grooming by Candice in Paradise. These people are outstanding! I took my Yorkies in to be groomed. I usually do it myself because I am so picky. I had their faces and feet groomed and she did such an excellent job, better than what I would have done. They are professional and very loving to all animals. But their prices are too low!!! So I always tip them because they deserve it. read more

Owner got my two large dogs in last minute! Very friendly and easy to work with! Brought my dogs in to her absolutely filthy and needing a shave job! And dogs came out clean,shaved and happy! :) one dog only had a tiny bit of dirt left in one ear! Overall very happy with the groomer and the service! Will be returning! UPDATE: took both of my dogs in for their yearly grooming today! Great prices! Always a pleasure to work with! HOWEVER, it seems that they completely forgot to clean my dogs ears. AGAIN. Will definitely bring them back next year but next time I will remind them to clean their ears! read more

I just had to give them another 5 stars. My schedule was insane for a while and I was forced to go to a Petco (can't even remember if it was in Chico or Oroville!!!). They said my dog was a little challenging at times, and barely clipped her nails. When I went back to TLC, they all commented on how sweet she was, and she was SO happy when I picked her up. I didn't know they didn't take cards, and didn't have my checkbook with me....said I could pay later, and of course I sent my son back the following day with cash plus a nice tip. Who does that any more?? All this, and the best price I've ever found anywhere. Don't take your dog to any other groomer in town-- they are dog whisperers, I swear, LOL My dog Libby and I, just love these people and their talents. read more

Friday morning before the holiday weekend I took my wife's poodle, George, for a walk. George found an especially dense patch of those insidious little stickers and managed to embed close to a million of the little suckers deep in his curly hair. I threw George in the shower in an effort to soak the stickers away; no avail. Brush, comb - zip, nada. My wife came home to find me attacking her precious poodle with a pair of scissors. She immediately coined the phrase, "Groomergency!" and called TLC. Miraculously, they were able to squeeze George into their pre-holiday Friday schedule and after six hours of what must have been trying times (you try spending six hours with George on a GOOD day) George emerged Westminster-worthy. I have tried multiple groomers and have finally found the BEST one! My dog, Bailey, has personality issues... She gets anxious, doesn't like other dogs and normally has to be muzzled. Bailey obviously loved being here, and Candace said she had no problems with her. That says A LOT! I could not be happier and would recommend TLC to anyone looking for a groomer! read more

They just feel really comfortable with her and you can tell she is patient and kind with them. My dogs also shed soooooooooooo much. Once they come home from being groomed we can't find a single loose hair on them! She's also very friendly, accommodating, and nice to work with. Her prices are fair too, she puts in a lot of time and effort with them. It's more expensive than going to petco, but WAY worth it.

I am very upset as I made at appointment for one of our adult boa imperators named Addy on February…read more3rd 2026 as she had a large mass stuck in her back end that she couldn't pass on her own. They told me she was dehydrated so they gave her IV fluids. They also did an x-ray on her to confirm what the mass was which it was stool that she was unable to pass on her own. They confirmed she had an infection and prescribed her an antibiotic injection called Ceftazidime to be given to Addy every other day. They wanted to do blood work on her however I couldn't afford that as that would have made the total $800 - $1,100 in addition to I don't see how that would have helped Addy as we already know she has an infection from the stuck stool. The total cost that day was $640. They told me if the antibiotic injections didn't work that they could do an Enema and flush out the stuck stool. At the time of the appointment they showed me how to give the injection to Addy on her side underneath the scales. They told me if I needed any help to come in anytime and they could help me give her the injection. They gave her the first injection for me. When I went to give her the second antibiotic injection I had a difficult time doing it properly as I am nine months pregnant so I called the vet clinic to ask if I could bring Addy in for help on giving her the injection. They told me the doctor had left early that day and to give the injection from top down if I needed to which is what they told me not to do during the time of Addy's appointment. Thankfully my husband was able to help me give Addy her antibiotic injections however I didn't think it was right what the vet did saying I could come in for help and then they refuse to let me come in and help give Addy her injection. The vet said they would call in a few days after the weekend and see how Addy is doing. My husband helped me to give Addy her antibiotic injections every other day. When the vet called for an update I let them know that a small amount of white stuff came out of her back end but that the mass was still there. When I asked how much the estimate would be for an Enema the vet told me they didn't want to do that for her until after she had all her antibiotic injections due to the risk of tearing which they didn't mention that to me during Addy's appointment. My husband and I were giving Addy the antibiotic injections every other day like instructed. We went to give Addy her injection last Thursday evening on February 19th 2026 only to find that Addy had passed away. I am very upset and distraught about Addy passing as she was such a kind and sweet boa. I feel like the vet should have done something more for her sooner instead of just relying on the antibiotic injections. I am also upset they didn't allow me to come back in for help giving Addy the injections. I am writing this review to share my experience as this has been very hard on myself and I highly recommend not going to Whispering Pines Vet Clinic if you have an exotic or any type of reptile. I cannot speak on their services for dogs and cats, however I don't think they are capable of treating exotics and reptiles properly. The total vet cost for Addy was $640 only for her to end up passing away. I also noticed when I first walked into the clinic that they have two ball pythons in a small glass tank together with a red light for heating. One of the ball pythons had bad stuck shed on it. The two ball pythons apparently live at the clinic like that in those conditions. I told myself if they can't properly care for their own snakes how could they possibly help Addy our Boa? I almost walked out right then and there but being I am heavily pregnant it's hard for me to drive and this was the closest vet clinic to us that sees exotics. I now know that I should have walked out and gone to a different exotic vet as maybe if I did that Addy would still be alive and could have gotten the help she needed.

When we arrived we were brought into a exam room by Amiee and we asked her if she was going to put in a catheter and if they were going to sedate him. She then looked at us and said they dont do that at this vet and not to worry he will be gone in seconds it was all a fucking lie. Then here comes Dr.Dalia Mathan with the euthanasia shot it took her five different times before she could inject the shot in the meantime our cat was crying fighting couldn't catch his breath or anything. After his lifeless body went limp the nurse drops him on the exam table and walks out. I look down at my baby and see he bit his tongue.Dr.Dalia does not know how to diagnose animals. Our family strongly believes she Murdered and tortured our beloved cat. We never got to spend any time with him before he was out down the whole situation was rushed. During the euthanasia I was told to stop petting him and my mother was told to move out of the way. Where is your fucking compassion. This cat was not just a pet he was our family. If we could go back i would have never taking my animals to this vet at all.

She is compassionate and explained how this experience would look like. She allowed us to hold our sweet Garfield as we all pet him for the last time. Dr. Troxell was so extremely thoughtful with everything she did, her words, her movements her true love for animals and their family is present in her care. As hard as this situation can be, no one could make it as comfortable, compassionate and personal as Dr. Troxell. As we held Garfield one last time, Dr. Troxell simply and quietly said goodbye and showed herself out. She allowed us to stay with our sweet guy. I firmly believe that he really does love my dog. He talks to her and treats her like we treat her! He even tells her how cute she is (she's adorable, trust me). If I didn't know better, I'd think Georgie was his favorite patient :) and that's how it should be with a vet. On kind of a more sad note, when my inlaws' dog had to be put down, Colyer Vet offered an in-home service so she didn't have to be put down at the vet. I am not sure if that's a common thing or not, but I thought it was really important and meaningful in choosing a vet. He also gave my inlaws' dogs some anti-anxiety medicine free of cost when their house burnt down and the dogs were freaking out. Goes to show he really cares about each individual animal!

I can't say enough about Candace and Eric. They are the best. I have been taking my dog and cat for grooming and have always been happy. Eric even polished my dog's nails because she has always had them polished by her previous groomer. They go above and beyond in showing how much they care about their "clients".
