He went in being long overdue and came out looking so good! He got a bath, groom, and haircut, and couldn't be happier! The groomer asked questions to get to know him. We appreciated the care and kindness she showed towards our dog. We've booked his next appointment and look forward to this being our regular groomer! They just feel really comfortable with her and you can tell she is patient and kind with them. My dogs also shed soooooooooooo much. Once they come home from being groomed we can't find a single loose hair on them! She's also very friendly, accommodating, and nice to work with. Her prices are fair too, she puts in a lot of time and effort with them. It's more expensive than going to petco, but WAY worth it.

Less than a week later we realized that it was time. We called CCAH and set up an appointment. They got us in that day. We entered the room and there were some nice candles and music playing. The staff were all fantastic. Dr. Bettencourt took our girl back to get an IV in and to sedate her. He came back carrying her in his arms and gently laid her down on the table. She was in no pain. They gave us all the time we needed and then injected her. She went quietly and quickly. We were given all the time we needed after she was gone and then we left. We were given the options of what to do with her body and made our choice. So sad for us but she is not in pain now. (This time was in stark contrast to another time with another vet that didn't us sedation. Our dog ran around until she died. Not a pretty sight.) Thank you Chico Creek Animal Hospital and Dr. Bettencourt and his aids for your compassion.

We had to wait for her spay incision to heal before she could be bathed and groomed properly. In those 2 weeks time, she had matted up pretty bad on her rear end and back legs. Jessy took the time to brush out her matts gently and also discovered a hot spot. Jessy was great at offering suggestions on how to clip her body as we didn't really know what kind of clip would look cute on her.
