That teacher is no longer there, wish I had known. No mention of what to bring to first class, luckily I had a sense of what to bring. Class was lackluster, nothing you couldn't get from any book. Play time the first class was pretty successful but at the second class things got a little too heated and when I asked for help breaking it up the teacher instead just kept shaming me and belittle what was happening. To be clear, I bring my puppy to the dog park often and know dogs can play rough but when there is BLOOD on your dogs ear, a HUMAN gets BIT it's time to break it up and not go into the origin of the word BITCH. You sign away any chance of putting responsibility on Canine Mastery so I wasn't willing to see how far this was going to go so I picked up my puppy. Teacher immediately tells the class that's the worst thing you can do but what choice did I have if they were not going to help. The next day I reached out to have a discussion and despite not feeling heard I was fine to return to class the following week. Then I got a giddy call from the teacher/ owner that she had called most everyone on the class to get their sense of the situation. How disappointing and disgusting!! They didn't see the look in my puppy's eyes as she was darting for help nor did they see the gash in her ear that took a solid MONTH to fully heal. If you do decide to take a chance I would ask for teaching credentials because I doubt they exist.

Since then, I have taken two puppies through all their puppy classes, and three dogs have regularly attended agility classes. This week, yet another puppy completed Puppy Kindergarten and will commence with future courses in....well, I haven't decided that yet because CM has so much to offer. This place is amazing. I have had classes with the owner, Kathy (Puppy Kindergarten), and several of other instructors including Kathleen (for other puppy classes) and Joy (for trick classes) most recently. Even with my reactive dog, Kathleen was instructive, professional, and patient. Deb is by far the most patient agility instructor I know. She gets to know every dog and every human client so well that I feel like I'm taking private lessons even when I'm not. She knows that I like homework so she's always giving me ideas about things I can do to make improvements even in the dead of winter in the house. I really appreciate the non-judgmental atmosphere there because let's face it, we are not all the best at this stuff. You just can't get a bad instructor at Canine Mastery. An added bonus taking classes at CM is the other clients. They are so supportive and enjoy their classes so much that you get to see the best side of people with whom you take classes. I always feel like I know the other people in my classes even when I really only know their dog's names (shhh, don't tell them I don't know their names). Whenever I have a question about bad weather cancelations, or anything else, I email Joy or Deb and voila! I get an immediate answer. I wish every business were this responsive. Could you imagine cable companies or doctors doing that? You never feel like you're left out in the cold at CM. Let's talk about money. I have taken classes even recently at other facilities just to try them out and every one of them has been more expensive. (Hey CM, don't get any ideas!). Moreover, I felt a little less able to connect with them when necessary, and sometimes their teaching styles have been a bit too competitive for me. That said, most of the agility students in Deb's agility classes are competing with the best of them and making good headway. It's all about what you want to get out of your training for CM, and of course, what's best for your pup. Who knows, maybe my new pup will be into nose work or something else I've never tried before. Regardless, I know exactly where to go to learn something new. Canine Mastery is indeed just that - masters at working with you and your dogs. When we began seeing Dr. Rosen it was 2 years ago, at the time my pup was brand new and she was having some skin irritation - I also have and had pet insurance at the time. Over a few months it was determined she was having allergies, and was put on Cytopoint. At the time the insurance was covering them but based on something Dr. Rosen wrote within her paperwork deemed the allergies pre-existing and they cancelled the coverage. I asked the Dr. to discuss and help with this because they were not in fact pre-existing since I had just adopted her, but she was no assistance. Each time I saw Dr. Rosen with my dog, there was something new that was amiss, once she referred to my dog was a "6 year old beagle" - (She is not a beagle, and she was 6 months old at that time.) I began to get worried about my dogs care, but then they began employing new doctors at the clinic, so I asked that I swap doctors and actually began getting better care for my animals. Those doctors came and went and unfortunatley Dr. Rosen stayed. 99% of the staff cannot stand this Doctor and when I brought up my concerns they all agreed! A few of them even mentioned that she was so inconsistent they felt she might be on some sort of drugs. She is so all over the place, that I wouldn't dismiss it. I wound up bringing my pup to the Swansea location a couple times because the better doctors were there. My dog has monthly injections so I have brought her back to the vet techs (who've been amazing) they are the only good thing about this place. While I have been thinking about changing Vet's I have honestly been waiting to see if another doctor joins the practice so I could continue her care with them, and see the vet techs there. On Thursday her allergies flared and she'd already had her injection for the month, that same week. I called and asked for their opinion on what I might be able to do to get her some relief and I was told the dr would call me back that day. That never happened. On Friday morning I called in to find out if they had anyone to provide me with advice and was told the dr. put a note in the system that she could come in for a cytopoint injection (which she already had the same week or so, these injections cannot be given sooner than 4 weeks.) I explained that and was VERY frustrated and asked if Dr. Rosen even looked at her records. I was told that they might be able to squeeze her in for a dr. appt. on Friday but I explained I was going to be in work meetings the majoritiy of the day and I wasn't sure if I could get her in, but wanted to find out if I could give her some eye drops or eye wipes... I was told they would call me back. While I was in meetings for over 2 hours the receptionist left a message but by the time I was available after having been pulled into day-long meetings, they were closed. The following morning (Saturday) I bought some eye wipes at Rumford Pets - I popped in to ask if those wipes would be OK (since they are right next door.) The person at the desk didn't realize my dog was a patient and I explained and I was just wondering if these eye wipes were OK, or if they sold anything that would be better. As that happened another person came from the back extremely rude and stated that she called me and left messages and expected a call back before 4 and they couldn't help me. It was so rude, so I tried to explain I was in meetings as I had already told her but she was even more rude, so I left. Now today I get a voice mail that states they are no longer going to be seeing my animal because I am unhappy with their service. To say this is a nightmare is an understatement, but hey they did me the favor I should have done myself a while ago. Please stay away from this clinic, they are unprofessional, disorganized, rude, and condescending. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that loves their animals!

I called and asked them to send all my dog's records back to the Attleboro Veterinary Clinic. They said they would. That was in the late summer of 2022. it's now February, 2023. I went into the Attleboro Clinic for Cooper's annual check up. They had no records from Vitality. They said the Attleboro Vitality site was now closed, and I needed to contact the Swansea site. There was no phone number on their webpage, so I sent an email. I got a response that they received my message. I'll update when I hear that his records have been sent. The Swansea site has some good reviews, and many vets. I found the phone number for the Swansea Vitality site and gave them a call. The girl I spoke to was lovely and recognized me from the email I had sent. She said that she sent all the records and confirmed that the Attleboro Animal Clinic received them. Sounds like the Swansea office is doing a great job!

He was 5 months old when we hired William and at first it seemed great. Wyatt was basically housetrained and it seemed like William was supporting that. My boyfriend got a dog cam for Christmas and we started monitoring it because after Christmas, we were coming home to accidents and a very stressed out Wyatt. We even asked William about this and he said it was "normal" and suggested crate training. So we began leaving Wyatt in a crate. While monitoring the dog cam, one day he seemed to not come at all but we figured maybe he had come early. Another day we watched as he came into the apartment, cleaned up a pee accident, then left. The last straw was when he entered our apartment with his daughter, let Wyatt out of the crate for 30 seconds, cleaned up what appeared to be spilled water, and then shoved him back in his crate and left.
