Went in for my last "treat your self" pedicure before baby comes. The lady doing my nails spent the whole time trying to sell me on shellac. I tried politely to decline her offer; I don't need shellac. Just regular polish is fine. But she was overly persistent. Then the other lady scolded my because I wanted to use the message chair and told me tit was too dangerous for baby. Thank you ma'am I'm not ignorant- I was using the knead setting on my neck- I think the baby is fine! I was so embarrassed- I wanted to get up and walk out. read more

Oh my goodness......ummm, I have so much to say about this fantastic Nail Salon, & a lot of it was said in my Quick Tips & Pics, so like I've said before, I'll TRY & keep it short....I know, I'm Waisting my breathe!!! Lol. So, I stumbled upon this place yesterday when I was waiting for my mom's A/C to be fixed in her car. Of course, like everything else, I checked the biz out on Good ol' Yelp 1st, & thought, Yep, they should be just fine!!!! (I'm picky when it comes to my nails, so new places can have me on edge at 1st). Walked in and there are pedicure chairs (massage of course) & nail stations galore! This place is huge compared to Nail Salons in my neck of the woods, but this happened to be smack~dab in Memorial City area so I wasn't too surprised. I didn't wait 5 min before they were ready for me!!! Nice touch!! (called other locations in the area & each place had at least a 30-60 min wait). My pampering of the feet started out with one lady & that quickly changed, not sure why, but it was all good!! The next girl workin on my feet was a Lil Young thang!! Super cool because she, much like myself, LOVED to talk!!!! About 5 min into my pedicure, another woman, Lynn, pulled out a seat & started on my hands. Now, a lot of women that wear tips, or get acrylic overlay, usually start with a new set every other month or so, but that's not me. MY nails are long & it helps being that way as long as I keep them so they don't break. But yesterday I figured, what the heck, chop them bad boys off & let's start from fresh. After all, I had nothin but time on my hands......literally!!! My pedicure was fantastic!!!! Only $26 & $5 extra for sea salt, not bad compared to how they jack things up out my way (depending on where u go). She, & I'll get her name to come to me soon, used the Hot Rocks on my legs & feet. Somethin else I've never had done in Spring AND it was included, no extra charge!!! YAY!!!! Lena had my feet on point!! The feel soooo good!!!! About the same time my pedicure was finished, Lynn was just about done popping all my original nails off. This may seem like a long time to some, but it's been 3 years since I started over with a new set, & if you know me, you know I wear my nails LONG!!!! Lynn proceeded to put my new set on. We laughed and talked and joked and talked....& about 4 hours after I walked in, I was done!!!! Perfect timing, bc my mom's A/C was done being fixed at the same time!!! Now, I know what you're thinking, 4 HOURS!!! For a full set & pedicure!!!! No way Jose!!!! But again, I was far from in a rush & Lynn usually doesn't do nails as long as mine so she was making sure everything was perfect!!!! My total for removal & LONG full set, solar, $57 (Reg $35 if you're not me, lol). So I paid my total of $88, tipped Lena $5 for my pedi & Lynn $10 for my beautiful nails!!!! A little over $100, that's my kind of shop. To y'all that keep a normal length, you'll walk out paying $66 (that's with the $5 extra for sea salt). I would have NO problem driving from Spring to Memorial City next time I need a refill!!! I'll def be going to see Lynn & Lena again in 2-3 weeks!!! Oh, there's a Bally's, I believe it's Bally's, above the nail shop. After about 6pm it can get a little noisy overhead, but Nails Beautiful service is worth a Lil bangin around. Another plus, there's a Starbucks right next door, yes, Right next door!!!!! I was able to control myself from going over, but next time I'll hit them 1st.....yeah I got a little jealous watchin all the Starbucks cups walkin around the salon & walkin past the window. I really don't see needing to make an app at this nail shop, Unless you just want someone in particular to do your nails. Nails beautiful gets five stars in my book, because I thoroughly enjoyed my pampering and my entire afternoon with the ladies over there yesterday! If I had to base this review solely on the wax job done by Annie, it would be a solid 5. I've been coming to her for about 7 months now. Annie is the owner and she knows all of her customers on a first name basis. She's personable, funny, and really makes you feel at ease. She is incredibly detailed and is the only person that I trust with my brows (and trust me; I've gone to countless places). She's also done my Brazilian wax, and my husbands full chest and back for a very reasonable price; less than the actual places such as European Wax Center. However, I had a terrible gel full set done here. I have never been so disappointed in my life. The gel looked nothing on my actual nail as it originally did on the selection pallet. I also told the technician the shape that I wanted, but she completely deviated from my request. To top things off, it had barely been a week before it started lifting. Based on this particular experience, I would rate it a 1. Lastly, I am currently sitting in a chair getting a pedicure done by Lee. She's executing this pedicure just the way I like it. She's gentle, but ensures to get all of that dead skin out. And she's currently using a hot rock with lotion to massage my legs and feet. That's most definitely a first and it feels oh so great!!!! She gets a solid 5 stars from me. As my check-ins reflect, I've continued to frequent this place. They recognize me now, which is always nice because they are quick to seat me and make sure I'm taken care of. I've had numerous gel and regular manicures. These gals are pro at the gel manicures. I've had one last for a month. Once or twice there have been times when a piece of fuzz gets in the polish, or one nail just doesn't look right, and they are quick to fix it so that your manicure is perfect when you leave. I hate it when nail techs are clearly ignoring a piece of fuzz on a nail and just paint over it hoping you don't notice. The nail polish selection here is really great. They have most on trend Essie and OPI regular polishes, as well as Shellac and OPI gel polishes. The gel color selection is fabulous, but if you truly want a long lasting gel manicure I recommend sticking with the Shellac or OPI. The Gelish brand just isn't as good or strong. read more

My shellac lasts for 2 weeks + 2-4 days, depending on how much outside work I do. IF you take the time to get it done right your nails will last for just as long. Don't rush the ladies and then give them a bad review. If you have a problem let them know and they will be more than happy to fix it for you. If you think they are being pushy, tell them. Got shellac mani and regular pedi. My experience was so bad, I ran out of the place as soon as I could get out of that chair: - Staff is super gossipy and intrusive. I'm not there to be injected into your personal dramas or pass judgment on anyone, or let you in on my life's story. I just want a quiet, relaxing moment to get my nails right. - Shellac mani was a nightmare. Missed several parts of my nails. Did not paint to the tips, but left a gap. Left debris, dust and lint, in my nail beds. Did not remove shellac top-coat with acetone so I had residue-y nails leftover that immediately began to peel. - The woman doing my pedi was so slow and chatty, that by the time it got to the polish, she had another client arrive. She demanded to be helped at her appointment time so my nail tech left me to another person. That person painted my nails so incredibly fast. At first, I was actually impressed with the speed. Upon closer inspection, it was all messed up and streaky. She didn't allow a second to pass between coats so it was just all a streaky, textured mess. Had to go get both my mani and pedi redone elsewhere the very next day. Will never come back here. read more

So this is an all too frequently experienced pet peeve of mine, but I seriously hate when I go to get my nails done and some pushy stylist insists that I need my entire face waxed. No thanks kind lady, I would just like a pedicure. I preface with that disclaimer because today might have pushed me over the edge. My sister and I thought it'd be sweet to take our mom to get a pedi for Mother's Day. Only in theory, of course. We pick our toe colors and are accosted by a lady who reminds us several times that we can get our nails done. At the same time even! No thanks we say. Maybe 6 times. Fast forward a smidge to our waxing situation. My 19 year old sister who has virtually no hair on her face had to firmly tell the lady at least 4 times that she only wanted her brows taken care of, not her chin. Oh and a lip wax is only $5! And the lady seriously told my sister she is "a lovely girl and needs to look for a rich husband really soon" I guess I should applaud them for their persistence? It was my first time here. I had a regular medi and pedi done at the place today. And probably would be the last time. I did not like my nails were polished. I would like my nails to be fully covered yet the technician failed to do so. I had my cuticles cut so it would look nicer to have polish on, yet the technician was unable to so. I was in the area looking for a nail salon so I stopped by this place seeing that most of the ratings here on yelp had four stars and up. I came in, waited about 5 minutes and was ready to be seen. I decided to get a shellac manicure loving how it's supposed to last up to two weeks without chipping and all that. Well, at least my other shellac manicure lasted about that long. So the lady cuts my cuticles and then starts with the shellac polish process. The lady was nice. We chit chatted a bit, and that was it. We were all done. I look at my nails, and it appears to look great. The color is pretty and shiny. I pay, leave a tip and leave. I get to the car and notice that on one of my nails, the clear coat is not fully coated onto my nail. It was a bit streaky, but I said who cares. It's only one nail. So here I am four days later. I look at my nails, and a few of my nails have color chipping off the tips and a few other nails have clear coat chipping off of them. I'm usually not a picky person, but when I pay for a shellac manicure that is supposed to last for up to two weeks, it should last for at least two weeks. If not two, at least one! You'll never know how any place is until you try it. So I did that, but unfortunately, I'll never be back again. read more

I had an appointment at The Joint next door and decided to come here for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure before I leave for a cruise. My time here started off great until I realized one of my thumb nails wasn't drying properly during my manicure. The manicurist kept insisting that it was my fault because my hand wasn't correctly positioned in the LED light machine. This proved to be false when another manicurist came over and realized she had used regular polish instead of shellac polish -- hence the not drying. The bright white polish also started turning this ugly shade of grey, making my fingernails look dirty, about a week in. There was no customer service besides a couple of mumbled sorries. Horrible Experience. I called this place before going to make an appointment and to ask them if they could do the Texans logo in one of my nails, they said yes, not just yes, but "Yes, yes, yes, we can do it". I showed up a few minutes before my appointment and they took me right away, which I thought was great. Well I sat down, got my phone, and showed Holly, the lady that was doing my nails a picture of the Texans logo I wanted. I asked her if she could do it, and she said "Yes, of course". Just so yall know, the only reason why I went to Nails Beautiful was because at the salon I usually go to they don't know how to do the logo. Well... Holly started removing the shellac I had, and I told her I didn't want her to file or cut my cuticles because I liked the way they looked, I usually do that myself. She complained. I understand they charge more if they do a full mani but I didn't want her to! One of the other workers offered a pedicure, I said no, since I had had it done 2 days before, and she insisted. Again, I know they're trying to sell, but if the customer says no, it's no. After removing the shellac, she starts filing two of my nails because according to her they didn't look nice, I didn't say anything because I didn't want to be rude, but I had to stop her a second after, she completely destroyed both nails. She had to file them really short to make them look half way decent. By then, I was about to get up and leave, but I thought of the logo, and how hard it would be to find another place to get it done at. She finished the nails, did the three layers of nail polish she's supposed to do by my request, after complaining and saying she only had to do two, to then tell me one of her coworkers had gone to the store to buy the stickers they were gonna use for my logo! I could not believe was I was hearing. It all got even worse when her coworker showed up and said she couldn't find the logo, so... as she said "sorry about that". So I had to get up, PAY, and leave without what I asked for, and with two nails completely messed up. I am never ever going back in there and I would never ever recommend that place. read more

I have never had my nails done in Houston, so when my mom came into town and wanted to get pedicures, I had no idea where to go. I yelped some places around and we decided on this place. It was my mom, me and my two year old daughter. I wasn't sure how the salon would be with my daughter but they were so sweet to her! She just got her nails painted but they did a great job. My mom and I got the basic pedicure and it was great. I will definitely go back. We got there a little before 11am and got right in. As we were leaving at noon, it got really busy. The costumer service here is horrible. I feel as if they are only worried about how fast they can get to the next costumer. If you aren't going to spend a lot of money, they aren't interested in taking the time out for you. I went in simply for a polish change. The manicurist file two of my nails, looked at the rest of my nails and said "oh it's ok." She didn't finish filing the rest of my nails, she quickly buffed them. She did not spray any alcohol to remove the dust, nor did she allow me to wash my hands. No cuticle oil was applied either. I am a licensed cosmetologist myself and know what consist of a polish change. She continued to apply the polish over my dusty nails. Unfortunately I am not the one to tell an older worker how to do their job, but I wasn't happy at all with the service here. She did not clean the polish from around my skin, nor did she check to even see if they were even. She did not thank me for visiting or even bring my change back. She assumed that the change was for her tip! The manicurist even told me that because of me her other client has to wait.
