Went for a mani pedi and left with just a pedi. Unfortunately my manicurist clipped two of my cuticles too deep even tho she was moving at a very focused and slow pace but still punctured me to the point of bleeding. Though apologetic they gave me the biggest hassle to have the manicure charge removed! The manager literally argued about having to pay her techs rather than the concern of my bleeding nail beds. Extremely condescending especially since they are overpriced. The shop was clean. Polishes are old and mostly dried up, bring your own. Will not return. Usually I am very happy with this place.... Today I was quite disappointed (tired and stressed)- I just didn't appreciate how the lady spoke to me when I came in, it was embarrassing for some reason.... customers should feel like guests and that wasn't the case... no empathy or sympathy.... I needed to have a nail redone because the dip powder completely came off of 2 of my nails after having it done for a day or 2 max. I went in tonight and was told they're busy, needed to wait 30 minutes... yes, perhaps I should have called ahead of time but I thought that this touch up wouldn't be a big deal (update; it is, they have to re-do quite a bit). We made 3 appointments, but they got to me 35 mins later than everyone in my party. My sister and I both got attitude from people working there when we asked questions. The chair massage was better than the actual massage. She also took off my dead skin then dumped it into the water, but then proceeded to use that water to wash me. I love this place! I've been twice and both times felt very relaxed and comfortable. Ty at the front desk is so nice and the service is excellent. At $62 for a dip manicure and regular pedicure, they offer very competitive pricing. They also use high quality products, so my last dip looked good for A solid three weeks. I was running late yesterday and they even stayed to fit me in, and not a detail was missed. It's hard to find a nail salon with good, consistent service, where they don't constantly try to up-sell. I went here yesterday, was greeted promptly, and opted towards a shellac manicure. The lady who did my nails was very meticulous and clean with her work. She removed my old polish and kindly helped me decide what color would look good on my nails. I ended up picking a color called "Glass Slippers" it turned out really pretty. I would return when I'm doing errands in the area and picking up some pet supplies at the Pet Smart next door. It is a little pricey as I did get charged $50 plus tip for the shellac manicure and eyebrows. However, I guess I got a complimentary back and neck massage in there as well? Great nail salon in Houston! The owner here really prides herself on cleanliness which is HUGE in this business. The spa chairs were comfortable and relatively new so they worked well. I stopped by for a mani/pedi and spent about 45 min the chair getting my groom on. I have to say it was probably the most relaxing mani/pedi I have ever had....no joke. There was a good 15 min where I know I passed out and had to be snoring! They have a great collection of different minerals they can put in the water for different spa packages if you desire. I am sure they offer more services along the lines of waxing and such, but I did not use those services so I cannot speak for them. We went on a Thursday afternoon and the establishment was pretty busy although not to the point where there were no chairs available. It took just a few mins while we got checked in, the wifey found her nail polish color and we got into the treatment. If you are looking for a nice place to stop by and get your nails done, this is the place. Today was not a good day. Of the many places in the energy corridor, I believe Glamour nails to be one of the best. Always quality work but today was not a good day. I got a refill on dip nails and my nails are lumpy, scratches are so visible and feel rough. Maybe I am ignorant of the what dip is supposed to look like and feel like as this is only my 2nd time getting them done but won't be doing them again. I am tired of shellac, acrylic and gel. Beware!!! "Joann" is unprofessional and frankly untalented. On Tuesday, March 11 she cut my cuticle to the point that I was bleeding on her table because she didn't have the proper tools to perform a proper manicure. My nails look subpar in Both shape and uniformity. When it came time to pay the $21 bill, I graciously informed her that I would pay half because she did take the time to complete the job no matter how crappy it was but I felt no way should I pay full price when you made me bleed and I'm just not happy. That is when "Joanne" decided to engage in a shouting match in front of the whole salon including threatening to call the police. I stood my ground and encouraged her to do so because you are not going to bully me she gave me the discount and told me not to come back. I left my first Google review in life because I was so disgusted. "Joanne" responded by calling me trash and telling me to have respect for myself. She should take her own advice. I have been coming to this nail salon for literally years even before the new owner. I have spent sooooo much money with this business so to have to write this review really is difficult. The last few times I have come here I have not been pleased with my nails. Why did I continue to come? Because they are clean compared to other nail shops and it is close to my home. My most recent visit started off pleasant as I was getting my nails and toes done. My nail tech stopped doing my nails to do a massage and another tech came to finish them up. I showed her the picture and they were indeed spot on. The nails I showed had nail jewelry by the way. I left spending $100 which I wasn't upset about. Once I got in my car I already noticed several of my jewels were missing. The next day I came to get it fixed and was told to come back in 30mins. I left and returned and was told I would have to wait another 10mins! Not to mention the lady that originally told me 30mins had finished and I saw her leaving the salon! One of my party had dead skin put in the bath and then continued to wash her feet with that same water. I watched them spray désinfectant on a chair but then use the same rag for every single chair. Went into the salon for a refill. They gave me a price of 31 dollars even though the sheet said 25 I ignored it than the lady tried to charge me 2 dollars to just cut my nails down? So...I first walked into glamour nails ready to try a new nail shape and color. The nail tech did exactly what I asked for but turns out it really wasn't flattering to my hands. I got all the way to the point in which I paid and was about to exit the establishment when the OWNER stopped me and asked me if I was satisfied with my nails. After telling her how I felt about the shape she would not let me leave until I was completely in love with my nails. She fixed the shape and the color.
