I was excited to try this place since I'm neither a vegan nor a vegetarian. I went inside and a waitress brought something out of the kitchen that I thought smelled really good. She came back inside and I asked her what she had just taken outside to a table. She said it was the TNK burger and she said it comes with fries, onion rings or sweet potato fries. The SP fries were $4,50 by themselves and the burger was &12 something by itself. With tax it was $14.50 I think. 14 something. While the vegan meat didn't offend me, I was surprised that it was small sliced pieces and not a burger by any means. I loved the SP fries and will probably just get those sometime. I would like to try something else though. read more

This place is amazing! Exceptional customer service. Tim was awesome. I ordered the Happy Chow Mein, and really enjoyed it. I usually get the TNK Burger, which has a ton a flavor. Would give this zero stars if I could. Food is good but my fries were ridiculously undercooked and the service is trash. I asked for a replacement of sprouts instead of onions and said I was willing to pay extra but they refused to give me sprouts no matter what way I ordered them. If you sell sprouts at a restaurant why can I not order them especially if I'm willing to pay extra. That literally makes no sense. When trying to talk nicely to the lady she just repeatedly kept saying no rudely and wouldn't hear me out. I ended up eating something I didn't want because she just kept talking over me. Rude service. The food isn't worth the trouble. There's a great vegan taco truck nearby, I recommend that if you're looking for something vegan! read more

We were driving from Vegas back home to the bay area when we needed food. Our goal was to find somewhere plant based after eating like queens in Vegas. We're so happy we found this place that suited me and wife's different taste buds -- she got the bbq chicken sandwich and I got the mongolian beef with brown rice. The bbq sauce was definitely made in house and was amazing on both the sandwich and the fries. Highly recommend both! On another note, the restaurant is cute with an exterior window to order/pick-up and has outdoor seating. The employee was super sweet and pleasant, we just felt like we needed to review. I love TNK. If I lived in downtown Mo, I would probably come here every morning for the delicious vietnamese iced coffee (cafe sua). As one of the only all-vegan spots in town (apart from Pizzeria Halt and Veekiind), it's my go-to for anything quick and delicious. I particularly love playing tennis on Saturdays with my friends at Graceada and then heading to TNK after to sit on the patio and grub. Even the sides are filling! I'd love to see more plant-based dishes in the future, not just meat-replacement ones. Thanks for filing a great niche! read more

I would give 4 stars because it is the only restaurant I know of serving all vegan food in Modesto and I definitely appreciate their presence. The staff here is very nice as well. That being said, the food is good, but some of the flavors and textures could be improved upon & for cafe style food the prices are a little high. read more

Food is pretty good. Vegan options in this area are hard to come by. Unfortunately, on only my second time here, I waited for 30 minutes, asked about my order, & they had completely forgotten about me. Not only did I wait 40 minutes for the Mongolian beef, but they refused to give me the smoothie I had also ordered & instead gave me tea. Stating they'd give it to me next time I come in for free because it would take too long to make now. I think they were getting busy & could care less if they got my one order right. I got here at 11:20 & left at noon with my to go order. Super disappointed. Update: went in for a 3rd time, because let's face it, the food is good & sometimes people just have an off day. As soon as I mentioned the smoothie I was owed from my last visit, the woman at the register immediately remembered me & said the owner had read my review & offered to comp my meal. Great food & happy faces is alway a plus. A bit pricey for one person to eat there $20 at least more if you get a meal drink & dessert, but I go for my self every now & the as a treat. A group would be way more expensive. Always great service too. read more

So glad to see this place and their incredible menu! Really helpful, nice staff and owner! I got the vegan chicken burger, cream cheese puffs and the Vegan Club. I liked my chicken burger and the cream puffs were okay. It was nice to have cream puffs again, but this one tasted more like tofu. My favorite dish was the vegan club, I have never tried vegan bacon like that, it was smokey and delicious and unlike any other vegan brands! Sadly, I did not get a photo of the club sandwich, but I definitely recommend ordering it! I can't wait to come back and try the bacon in their egg sandwich. Service was really fast, I got my food in about 10 minutes. I also arrived closer to 3pm and they did not fuss about the time, since they actually close at 3pm and open back at 4:30pm. read more

This place is confusing if you've never been there. I visited here with one companion, and once we solved the puzzle of how and where to order, the friendly young man at the counter pointed us to the menu that is shown on 2 Tv screens behind the glass windows of the building( turns out this place is take out only). With the glare on the glass windows and tv screens, it was really difficult to read the menus. It appeared to us that they served chicken, beef, and bacon items, with a couple of tofu items as an afterthought. After reading the reviews post-meal it appears that these chicken, beef and pork items might be plant-based, but I don't know, we decided to play it safe and order veggie burgers. On the menu, it appeared that you could order a chicken or beef burger, or sub a beyond-beef burger. I ordered 2 beyond beef burgers with sweet potato fries and 2 drinks, it came out to about $36. I cringed at spending that much on 2 veggie burgers at this greasy-spoon looking take-out place, but thought "hey, inflation," and paid. Turns out that was for ONE meal. The polite gentlemen at the counter made an easy mistake and only put in one order. My jaw dropped so hard it popped out it's socket. That's right, $60 for a couple of veggie burgers for lunch. It turns out, there is an additional $3.50 charge for the beyond beef, which I am still confused about. So it costs more to sub a veggie pattie from a beef or chicken one? Or it costs more to sub a beyond-beef pattie from a "beef" or "chicken" pattie? I don't understand. This place was so confusing to us both between the signs and hats that proudly state vegan, to the menu loaded with chicken, beef and pork options. Not to mention the fact that we couldn't READ the menu for any clarification. Will I ever go back to see if they used real or fake chicken or beef? Not for that price! I will stick to the farmacy down the street, where the menu and prices are clear. read more

This place is incredible! I ordered the cashew chicken, chow mien, and German chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely delicious. I'm not vegan (but have been in the past), and you do NOT need to be vegan to enjoy this food. I am so impressed. My 3 year old who is one of the pickiest eaters on Earth (chicken nuggets and peanut butter sandwiches are his go-to's) literally ate a plate of the chow mien noodles. Who knew Vegan could be soooo good! I have tried most of the menu and I am a huge fan! My absolute faves are the Mongolian beef and the Lemongrass chicken. Their smoothies are refreshing and ridiculously tasty. The Coconut and Avocado smoothies are on repeat. They offer bugers, soups, desserts and even steak! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Egg and Bacon! No, no, the Paratha Roll. Ugh. I can never decide. TNK is remarkably delicious, and it doesn't even cost more than any other non-vegan café. I am continuously stunned by the Egg and Bacon, which has really rare ingredients like a vegan fried egg, and layers and layers of vegetables and ham. It's so generously portioned, and it's ALWAYS delicious. How is it only $10? I love it so much! Spring rolls are a must. I get them every time I go, they are so inexpensive and so fresh. They've certainly mastered them! They also have vegan jerky, which I constantly purchase, and it's pretty reasonably priced. Like others, the only downside to TNK is the sides are a bit average. The salad is alright, but the sweet potato fries are always just missing something. They sometimes taste microwaved. Other than that, TNK is vital to Modesto vegan life! read more
