Hands down my favorite vegan restaurant in the 209 area! I live in Merced and drive to Modesto just to eat here! My two favorite dishes so far are the orange chicken and chicken bbq sandwich with ranch dipping sauce with fries! Everything thing here is fresh and made when you order so it's totally worth the wait! Also you must try three chocolate cake, its AMAZING! This is such a gem for Modesto to have. I got the Lemon Grass chicken with rice on my first visit, which was very tasty. On my second visit, I got the egg and bacon sandwich in the early afternoon, which is a super good brunch sandwich, the fried egg has a really good texture and the bacon seems like it's the same one that The Butcher's Son uses. I went back later in the evening to grab dinner and I got the Mongolian beef. They ask you how spicy you want it, 1-10, I chose 7 and they did perfect on the spice level. Very solid dish, tons of flavor and veggies added, so you aren't just eating the faux meat. Overall, this is a great restaurant and I definitely see myself regularly going here. read more

I have been looking for healthier dining options and decided to try TNK. I was disappointed that there weren't more vegetarian options. I tried the Happy Veggie chow mein, it was delicious but I wished it had more veggies on it. The spring rolls and peanut sauce were fresh and had great flavor. Finally, an all vegan restaurant here. Modesto is movin' on up and it is about time. The staff is super friendly and our food came out fast, had a meat eater w us who enjoyed his food just as much as us. AMAZING food. They were busy when we got there and asked if a 20-30 minute wait was ok. Absolutely! I got some beef jerky to snack on, and ordered the egg and bacon sandwich since becoming vegan I've missed those breakfast sandwiches from Jack in the Box. It was SO GOOD, I have no idea how they make their fake egg but it was delicious. The salad was super fresh and crisp as well. My husband ordered the TNK Burger and loved it. Staff is often rude (one employee in particular). Food is overpriced and practically everything is made out of soy. Worst of all judging by the look and taste of the oil they cook in its clear that it is a hydrogenated gmo refined very low quality oil such as canola or soy. read more

I'm thankful Modesto now has a full vegan restaurant / cafe. This establishment is another step in the right direction for Modesto. The customer service was excellent and the vibe was great. The vegan bbq chicken sandwich ($9) was delicious. The chicken bbq burger was ok. I wouldn't order it again. The burger was $12 (almost $13 after tax). The bun was your normal cheap bun. The vegetable toppings were skimped on. Not only does a healthy portion of vegetable toppings increase the awesomeness vegan factor of a meal, it also balances the potency of the sauce. "You like a the sauce?" Due to the lack of toppings and exorbitant amount of lathered sauce, it was basically a bbq sauce burger. For $13, it would be a great opportunity for them to have a special bun and generous amounts of vegetable toppings. The fries were fries. The vegan chocolate brownie bliss was savory. I'm happy Modesto has a vegan spot. The people working here are really friendly. Vegan restaurants (progressive establishments in general) tend to have a positive vibe that attracts friendly patrons. Such a gem! On all aspects this place was delightful. Small menu yet nice range of options. I attempt to try an all Vegan restaurant in every town we travel to and this cafe provided some of the highest quality so far.
