What a gem! Visiting Modesto for a soccer tournament and one in our group is vegan. When he's with us we always like to try to find places that are vegan which is sometimes harder than it seems - we also know we are going to eat healthier when he's with us! Found TNK Vegan Cafe on Yelp and so glad! Food was very good and the service was extra helpful. Place is 100% vegan and added bonus is that they have a good variety of vegan desserts! I've been a faithful customer since they've opened. Seems like it is never consistent. My boyfriend's son and I both ordered the avocado smoothies, mine was smooth and tasted really good, his has chunks of avocado-which was weird and it didn't taste right. I've order their sweet potato fries a few times, which I had to stop. Once, I start eating them they are still raw and not cooked all the way. One time I tried to call to place an order and I wanted sweet potato fries, I told the girl on the phone, can I get them extra well done the past few times I've ordered them they are raw and not cooked all the way through. She insisted they are cooked and I don't need them extra well done. I cancelled my order and I went to red robin for their sweet potato fries. Last time I ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich, I didn't realize with wasn't' a chk'n patty, it was cut up chicken in a sandwich it was beyond messy. The only sandwich that is hands down amazing is their TNK Club. I wish they were open for breakfast... The girl who always takes my order, I feel like she can work on her customer service. Food, service, and prices are all great. Paratha roll is my go to and love their chocolate cake. I like to call in my order ahead of time to avoid the 15-20 min+ wait. Their hot chocolate and thai tea is also good. Food is consistent with taste and portion sizes every time I go. My mother and I LOVED everything!! Everything was delicious, I ordered a chicken paratha roll which was absolutely insane, i was shook. The TNK and sweet n sour sauce gave the paratha roll an unbelievable taste!! My mother ordered the orange chicken which she really enjoyed, it was also delicious!! We even ordered Cream Cheese Puffs, Egg Rolls, Pot Stickers, and a Steam Bun. i'm not lying when I say every single one was amazing!! 06/28/20 Placed an order around 7:10 PM today (20 minutes before close) for lemongrass chicken, tnk chickn sandwhich, stuffed wontons and a strawberry cheesecake. Today was the first time where the chickn in the lemongrass chicken was cold (seems like it was refrigerated). The bread on the sandwhich also wasn't toasted as it normally is. I was kind of disappointed to receive this service today but it seems like someone else was there other than the regular wonderful girl who is there. Perhaps there was a different cook/team today? I have been trying to eat healthy, so I have been taking 2 days a week to only eat Vegan. I used to be a vegan, but because of health reasons had to go on a high protein diet. I say all this to say that this restaurant has been a saving grace! The customer service is always delightful. The price is really good in my opinion. Visiting from Phoenix AZ and we were happy just to find a vegan restaurant 10 min from our hotel! This place 1000% lived up to my expectations and more. My boyfriend and I shared very tasty spring rolls, then I had a delicious chicken burger and he loved his tuna sandwich. Alongside a yummy Thai tea and strawberry banana smoothie, I was so happily stuffed walking out of there. And to bring it all together every one of the staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful which made for a 10/10 experience. Great spot that I was recommended to by my friends! As a person who loves eating meat, I am pretty open-minded in trying new things and my friends told me to try out this place for Vegan food! I believe this might be the ONLY vegan restaurant in Modesto, but please correct me if I am wrong! My friends and I dined in and I ordered the TNK BBQ Chicken sandwich with a choice of sweet potato fries. This whole meal was amazing and a really great experience! The high-level Yelp rating is much deserved. Had the Lemon Chick'n for lunch and it was amazing. It was crispy and spicy (I chose level 2 spice) and delicious. At level 2 it was spicy but not too spicy. Mid meal the spice level did creep up but taking a bite of rice and drinking my tea kept it at bay. This was my first time eating vegan food and if I could cook vegan food like that I would become a vegan. The server said this was one of their most popular dishes and I see why. You can only pick-up your order at the main door. The lady who helped me was very kind! friendly! welcoming and got my order fast in a timely manner when i arrived. Payment was fast! OH and if you CHECK IN when you arrive you receive 20% off of your order. Which was pretty dope! I had ordered the salad it came with balsamic, sweet, olive oil dressing! I got the bbq chicken burger and I still can't believe no one that was meat!! Amazing so much flavor it was delicious! And only $10 for the burger and fries!
