I was a little skeptical based on the reviews but experience was far from horrible. Yes it's a more relaxed and older atmosphere but I didn't experience unprofessional service. It's a mom and pop restaurant so you can expect a little wait but that doesn't bother me. All the time I'm not for big crowds at the big name restaurants. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and each employee acknowledged us. They were also friend. Being born and raised in New Orleans I'm extremely familiar with seafood pricing. Hubby & I were out running errands & decided to stop for a quick lunch. Since we were passing by TNT, we stopped here. We didn't eat a big meal. I had a grilled ham & cheese; hubby had an order of onion rings. Food was brought out quickly. His onion rings were fresh & hot & not greasy at all. He said they were well seasoned as well. Honestly, I expected a deli ham on my sandwich. What I got was a delicious & very generous portion of dinner ham. I asked for light mayo & they nailed it. As I understand it, they've only been open for a few months. They're still trying to work the kinks out, but seem to be doing pretty good. Just horrible... The service is bad. Then they had the nerve to serve COLD boiled seafood and when I said something, the waiter offered to warm it in the microwave. Who does that? No you can't warm my boiled crawfish in the microwave, so it can dry out? If I wanted cold food, I would have placed a to go order and warmed it at home myself, not sat down in a restaurant to be served cold food. This is their so-called grilled chicken salad. The chicken was cut into these small pieces and hard as a rock. There wasn't enough chicken on it to even be considered a grilled chicken salad. I called to complain. No manager was there. No one called me back. I see why they have 2.5 stars. I would give half of a star but that's not an option. I paid $12 to chew the hard ends of the chicken breast, didn't even get half of a chicken breast, not to mention it was just thrown on some large pieces of uncut lettuce with a little cheese and an egg. I've been there in the past, if you order fried shrimp poboy - you will get a decent amount of shrimp. However, recently I stopped by for crawfish. Other establishments have lowered their costs since Easter - but not TNT. I paid $4.50/lb, where most other places are charging between $2.50 - 2.99/ lb. I almost walked out, but since I was there..... I ordered my food as 'take out', and I asked for a piece of corn; the wait staff repeated my order. When I got home, the crawfish were ICE COLD, & they did not include the corn. I called them to inquire about this, and I was told that the front desk person 'didn't hear me'.... a flat out lie, since she repeated my order. Can't anyone tell the truth anymore? Just tell me you forgot! I was informed that if I went back to TNT, they would provide me with proof of what I was charged for. .... Go BACK? Not too inconvenient! Additionally, I commented that I never got a receipt so I can't check the breakdown of what I was charged for. ** Icing on the cake, when they tell me the DON'T give out paper receipts anymore unless you ASK for it. My family and I went here and really enjoyed our meal. The burgers are fantastic! Fresh, juicy and creative menu options. My family members who got seafood also really enjoyed their meal. Our only critique is that the service is slow. I think this is because they want the food to be fresh, so it's cooked to order, but the front of house staff needs to be a bit more organized. We had three different servers at one point and had to give our drink order twice. The is a family owned business that serves great tasting seafood. If you want the feeling of pawpaw's old recipes then you will be home here. Service was great and had no problems being waited on....Christian was our server and he was awesome. We asked to try some crawfish before ordering but u have to buy those as well by weight. I'm usually able to sample crawfish free of charge before buying just in case I don't like them. Anyways....we bought 4 lbs. It was some of the biggest crawfish I've had this season. They were tasty as well. Spicy with the right amount of flavor. And not too hot that u can't enjoy them. I was very pleased. The crawfish was a bit lukewarm to say they were fresh and the potatoes were cold and lukewarm for some odd reason. Be aware that the potatoes are not cut in halves here if u like that. When they first opened, it was great, but the last 2 times I ordered there I got way overcooked food. The chicken wings were so tough I almost couldn't eat them - they were either cooked hours before or heated up in a microwave. Then I thought I would give them another chance and I ordered fried fish. Very dry, again it seemed it was heated up in a microwave. I haven't been back since. The reason I'm writing a review is because I think it's so outstanding that an owner of a restaurant in Laplace, La decided to have LIVE music in a separate room on a weekend night!!! That in itself will make me be a regular customer cause we don't have enough of that kinda thing and I love a place you can drink, eat good seafood, and listen to live music on an acoustic guitar!! This place was recommended by a couple we met at a craft fair. We're not from here and like local restaurants. We were the only 2 in here (damn you, COVID)! The staff was really friendly and the food was great! The catfish platter had a ton of fish on it and my sister's bacon cheeseburger had fresh ground meat. The breading on the catfish was light and crunchy and the fish was very flavorful. Tarter sauce is homemade. The blue cheese dressing for the salad had big chunks of cheese in it and even tho the salad was just lettuce and tomatoes, the lettuce was kind of shredded so you could just eat it and not have to try and cut it up. The only thing is that they have those wavy French fries and I prefer steak or straight cut. But they still were good and so were the hush puppies. I could detect a hint of a hot pepper in it but it wasn't too spicy. We live an hour away but will definitely take a ride to come back here! read more

Ive been there three times since they opened,and I think it was ok but it could be the best around if they do three things, Number 1 Use fresh french bread not bread that was in the cooler or freezer, it was hard and people around here like their french bread fresh , Fix that. Number 2 , Yall need to put one person to run the register, All three times I was there it was mass confusion at the register , and it wasnt a pretty sight, Very unorganized, And last but not least number 3 Overstuffed, twice I had the fish po-boy and I had the last couple of bites with only bread no fish, and I had the shrimp and it was far from over stuffed. The wife and I decided to try someplace new. After being sat we waited quite a while before being greeted by our server and almost left when she finally arrived to take our drink and food order. We waited so long for our drinks that another server noticed and brought them to us. Again, a different server brought my wife's crawfish to her. I believed my meal, a six inch shrimp poboy, wouldn't be too far behind. I was wrong. After waiting a half hour, and my wife having nearly finished her meal, we had to get the bus boy to get our server as even though she came to the table directly next to us 6 times she never even made eye contact with us. I explained I was still waiting for my food. She blamed it on the kitchen but we watched as every other table after us had gotten their food from their servers who seemed much more attentive to their customers. 10 minutes later when my poboy hit the table it looked like something you would get from a gas station. Since my wife had already finished her meal I just asked for the check. Was looking for a nice little night out on Friday and instead was supremely disappointed. Will not be going back. read more

Met the owners Mr. Triche and his wife are people persons with loving and accountable attitudes enjoyed the boiled crawfish and the fried fish was amazing. You cannot substitute your side item without it being extremely overpriced like swapping French fries for sweet potato fries. They be hitting and missing on their food too. They bring him a po-boy with breakfast sausage patties and the charge for all of this 2 sandwiches, onion ring and 2 drinks $35.00, unreal !!!!!! Trust me, don't eat here. It's not clean either.
