    Chicken & Sausage Gumbo

The Gumbo! The Gumbo! Outstanding restaurant. The Gumbo was so good. You get a lot for a low price. I can't wait to go back.

Wow, portion sizes were huge with reasonable prices. Everything was good--my only complaint is the chicken pieces in the jambalaya were too big. I would have preferred it in more bite-size pieces. And the most impressive thing that stood out was the wonderful customer service. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and the guy behind the counter was super-friendly, polite, and helpful--now THAT's what I call Southern hospitality.

Awesome Jambalaya, not salty like many other places. If the jambalaya is this good I definitely want to try the other menu items. A supplier brought this as a take out, but it was great. I could have eaten the whole bucket, but strongly resisted the 3rd serving. I will visit the store as soon as I can, but it seems to be a great place for Jambalaya. Other side menu items were good too, salad was fresh and beans were great. A must try for sure!

They have fresh, hot and delicious food. I had the jambalaya and gumbo. They were both very good with large pieces of meat.

The greek salad is ok, the lettuce was brown and tasted kind of old. The fried calamari batter was super plain, calamari was small and over cooked and the marinara they serve it with was watery. I hope that is not the same marinara they serve with their pasta dishes. The dinner rolls come in a brown paper bag? Weird.

When I tell you that was top 5 best salmon I've ever eaten. It was so flavorful and moist. It was PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked. The spinach, veggies, and potatoes were an excellent touch of freshness. I will definitely be back for the salmon. The Caesar salad was also divine. In fact, I think it's the best Caesar salad I've tried. The dressing is slightly more tart than other Caesar dressings; however, it's tart in the most palate-pleasing way. The cheese was abundant and fresh, and the romaine was crisp and fresh. I did not try the redfish but our family friend was satisfied. Finally, the warm rolls with that butter are enough to start a fight over for the last roll. I ate 3 at the table, which I never do. They're so light, buttery, and are served warm. The butter is possibly a whipped garlic butter concoction. I had to stop eating them. Overall, I really enjoyed our dinner. Do not be thrown off by the dated decor--some of the best food comes from places like these. My only hangup is the imported seafood. I'm not a big fan of imported seafood, in general. However, I do not think that takes away from the restaurant if you're looking for a great meal. And I'm mindful that domestic costs are often (and are growing) financially infeasible for some restaurants. Great spot!!

I love the location over the water! Once I got in there was no waiter present, so I seated myself. There were only 3 active tables with guest with ONE waiter. After 15 mins she came and got my order and brought me some water. Well once I got my food 30 mins later, my appetizer was cold, complete cold! I only have maybe an half hour before I get back to work so I just kept the dish. The batter on the tomatoes were very bland! Like it didn't taste like anything. The shrimp were very dry as well. Once I got my grilled shrimp plate, I thought I was in for a treat but .... I was wrong! The plate was extremely hot so I'm preeeeettttyy sure they nuked the dish before bringing it to me because my food was like warm. The BEST thing I had out of my 2 dishes were the Hushpuppies, if they would season their batter like the hushpuppies this place would be jumping!!!! As always let's take the time and apply some more love in the kitten crew. Happy Yelping.

They have a young staff and management could work on speech with staff. I had to ask our staff person three times what he was saying. Atmosphere is nice the place looked clean and the tablecloth is set for kids to have fun. So good place for little ones. They have booths and tables. We ordered chargrilled oysters for the table. They arrived in middle of meal. Timing off. They were good but not Drago's. They could have had more cheese and garlicky sauce. We split a seafood platter which feeds two people a good lunch. It had shrimp, fish, oysters fries and hush puppies. I am glad the chef does not over salt. The fish was not to our liking. They use catfish but the fish was very muddy tasting. I trimmed all the blood line off the meat but fish was ruined due to not being cleaned properly. Shrimp were very good. They are a nice size fried in a light batter and deboned. They would be something I would go back for. The oyster were good but they had a different seasoning that didn't enhance the flavor. I wish you guys the best but you really need to stand out cause the competition in south Louisiana is fierce.
