I happened to stumble across this place on my way to work last week and will forever make sure I come back! Although I only had a take away, the place was excellent! The decor was lovely. Very quaint! I had a cup of tea (as you do in To A Tea!) and also a blueberry muffin. Both were excellent and have won my business when I'm in the area! Very nice!

I was looking for a place close to St Pauls last minute to take some friends from America for afternoon tea. We walked into this lovely tea shop in the late afternoon. I asked if we could have afternoon tea, although the we hadn't booked, the manager was incredibly accommodating and we waited a little while and it arrived. It was delicious and incredibly reasonably priced. The food was yummy but the service was wonderful.

The salad is quite funky and normal price in the City. Quantity is good. around £5.5 But the hot dish quantity has less quantity and more pricy. If u sit down, the amosphere is lively and worth the price. But if u take away, you May find the meat or seafood dishes pricy.

Rose buds steeping in an impossibly cute teapot

A suit storm in a tea shop! I do enjoy seeing professionals conducting business over carrot cake. To a Tea is the product of an enlightened age wherein a cutesy tea shop can do a brisk business right in the heart of Fleet Street. Rose buds tea is pure and sweet, and extremely beautiful to watch steeping in a glass teapot. £2.95 is a very fair price for the pleasure. I had three of their many salads, and would not say they're great, but the plate was a reasonably priced £5.50 and it is a good non-sandwich, non-chain sit-down option in the area. The cakes were popular, but I'll have to try them next time. Fast, friendly, and efficient service, which is just what you'd expect for the crowd. Best of all for rogue workers, the wifi is free and unlimited--they don't even ask you to sign into some data-harvesting system. They also sell all of their blends to take away and give as gifts--just the detail I need to seal the deal on To a Tea's solid four stars!

    Eggs Royale. Delicious.

5 stars because the tea is great. Its not Starbucks, oh and did I say how GOOD the bacon sarnies are. Try the monkey tea if you are there.

Good selection of teas, though overpriced. Wasn't impressed by the carrot cake as was sickly sweet.

I decided to return early the next morning, and we were seated quickly. The staff is friendly and attentive. The cafe is quirky with shelves of vintage books and customer napkin art. You read that correctly - napkin art. A craft of water with fresh mint came out quickly. We ordered Americana coffees and I had the Eggs Drury. The food came out fairly quickly. My poached eggs were served on a massive bed of bacon and fresh made English muffins. The English bacon was incredibly delicious. It is no wonder that there are lines waiting to dine here. My husband had one of their premade breakfast sandwiches, made on fresh rolls, which he loved. There was a service charge added to the bill. I would definitely recommend and return.

I ordered the chorizo sandwich; the bread had a good crunch and the sun dried tomato added a bonus pop of flavor. The real winner and bar-setter for me was their iced vanilla latte. I'm not sure if it was the espresso or the vanilla syrup they used but it was probably the best latte I had. Inside the restaurant has lots of character and you can get more info on the decorations. Employees were kind and handled the business of the day with ease. If anyone happens to see this from the cafe, I'd really love to know what vanilla syrup is used as I'm still thinking about that latte weeks later!

Their servings are HUGE, and are so affordable too! I left wishing my mother and I had the ability to save our leftovers for later, because we hated wasting any of the delicious food that we ordered. Even before we got our food we were pretty excited. When you walk in you're greeted here with a beautiful sight: fresh sandwiches, bread, and pastries, all on display right at their main counter. Once we were seated I noticed little flower pots line the window, too. Fresh food and flowers - what more can you ask from a cafe for a first impression? We also loved the owner and his wife: they were very kind and they constantly kept us up to date on our food order, just to mention what was done and what they still needed to do or cook. They clearly work hard to provide fresh fast meals - and we learned quickly as people came in and out of the place that takeaway is available here. But we wanted to enjoy a sit down meal, and enjoy we did! I started mine with fresh squeezed juice - we're talking so fresh you'll want to add sugar to it if you're used to the juice that comes in stores. And when our English breakfasts came out? Just, wonderful. My mother and I each received SO much food. Both meals came with amazing buttered bread (like, I would have happily eaten an entire plate of bread and only bread), hash browns so fresh that they may as well have given us the original potatoes (yum), and what I can really only describe as a mountain of beans, eggs, and meat (well, on mine anyway - not so much on my mother's vegetarian breakfast order). All of it absolutely delicious, and every single bite made me smile wider and wider. Definitely walk on in if you're near this little shop. Don't be afraid to order one meal and share it if there's only two of you, either - you'll likely both leave well fed, and you can always order a little more food if you want too from that great looking counter of theirs...
