For being a small shop, they had a nice selection of piñatas, as well as a nice variety of Mexican candies to fill the piñatas. The employees were very helpful and offered to assist me with finding everything. I found the perfect piñata -- a roller skate, that reminded me of my friend -- for just $15. The employee said it will break pretty easily, which I considered a plus. My friend absolutely loved it. She even ended up displaying it proudly in her living room. I would definitely come back here for more piñatas in the future. Buy local!

Mr. Brincolin is a piñata paradise, STRAIGHT UP. The selection here is wild! Huge, colorful, and…read moreseriously well-made piñatas everywhere you turn. These aren't flimsy "one swing and done" piñatas either. They're substantial and MASSIVE. Very cute and worth every penny. Now, full honesty: I originally called weeks in advance asking if they could make a custom Gracie's Corner piñata for my niece's birthday (she's obsessed). The girl on the phone shut me down immediately without even checking with the maker, which was disappointing. A simple "let me see if it's possible" would've gone a long way. But the place still had my curiosity, so fast forward to my actual visit with my boyfriend: I asked about a #3 piñata and was told they only had two in blue. I took the lady's word for it. But then my amazing, solution-seeking boyfriend went exploring the other side of the store, and my baby, like a knight in shining armor, walked back holding a massive hot pink #3 piñata. I couldn't believe it. Let's just say I thanked him WELL later for all of his effort. He searched harder than the employee. That says a lot. The hot pink #3 was huge, gorgeous, and only $40. They even had rainbow piñata sticks, and I snagged one in yellow, hot pink, and silver for only $6. Perfect. So my final thoughts: the inventory and quality are five stars, the prices are fantastic, and I left happy with my purchase. Customer service could use way more effort, but at least the staff was kind. Overall, 4 stars from me. I'd definitely come back.

I would not recommend Austin Table and Chairs based on my experience. I originally requested a…read morequote months in advance of my wedding reception, but after comparing prices, I decided to go with another vendor due to Austin Table and Chairs being nearly double the cost. Three days before the event, I received a text that I mistakenly thought was from the vendor I did choose -- there had been no communication from Austin Table and Chairs since the original quote. I signed the contract, unaware it was from them. On the day of the event, the venue manager informed me that two different companies had delivered tables and chairs. That's when I realized the mistake. I immediately contacted Austin Table and Chairs and asked them to come retrieve their items, which they did -- in the middle of the reception, causing a disruption during a carefully planned and deeply meaningful event. I've now paid three times what I budgeted for something that should have been straightforward. This entire situation could have been avoided with clearer, more timely communication. Sending a contract just days before an event after months of silence, with no confirmation or follow-up, feels like a tactic designed to confuse clients during an already stressful time. As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I expect vendors to understand how far in advance events are planned and how critical clarity and reliability are. Unfortunately, this experience felt more like a trap than a service, and I don't believe it reflects the care or professionalism clients deserve.

The customer service here is always kind and laid back. Always appreciate how helpful staff is too because we turned in a lost key and they went right into action and already had been alerted. The ground are beautiful and it's really peaceful. There are chairs and benches placed throughout the grounds if you choose to take a seat and ponder this is the perfect opportunity. The flowers and many plants are just enjoyable and beautiful. It reminds you that flowers can still bloom in the scorching Texas heat.

So our car turned right into the Austin Botanical Garden. Cost per car was $6 ($2 discount from living in Austin...score!) The garden was peaceful and serene in the heart of downtown Austin. We spent most of our time in the Japanese gardens, one our favorites. The gardens are nicely laid out and enjoyable to navigate. The solace that pours over you makes the visit more than worth it. The tranquil Japanese garden with koi ponds and stone bridges almost puts you in a meditative state. Informational signs line the garden were clear at making it easy to learn about native Texas plants, sustainable gardening, and seasonal blooms. Now for the orchid show...we thought it was going to be a display of orchids. It was actually a competitive show. Wow...so many beautiful orchids...a fortuitous encounter.
