Wrong. There were two simultaneous pasta classes going. Our group seemed to have no clear direction. There were two pasta rollers and each kept malfunctioning with the handles falling off. It was at this point one couple left. It only went downhill from there. My sister kept saying we should just leave but I wanted to learn how to make pasta! And I paid a lot for this class so i was going to learn! But I did not. The revolt began and people just began cooking on their own (which in the end turned out quite well!!) just so we could eat at some point. We could hear the other class drinking wine and sitting down to eat, and our lasagna wasn't even in the oven yet. Another ominous sign. Our chef was very kind but it was clear he was not ready for this. It was my second and last visit to the KC, I walked away with no additional skills. Waste of 3.5 hours (though the class was scheduled for only 2.5) and 65 bucks.

If you go in and just browse, chances are you may find something you've always wanted or needed to make your kitchen complete. The staff is available if you need assistance, but I do fine just walking around and looking at all the goodies. Since they've moved to Godfrey, their location is closer to my home and that may be an issue for me. I may end up shopping here more often. The day they were supposed to come out they no showed and called at the end of the day to reschedule another week out and stated we were "lucky" they were servicing us at all because over 17 years ago a former company and former ownership didn't pay a bill. When we contacted Hearthside to inform them we did not want to do business with them anymore and we wanted a refund for the service call that did not repair anything, we were told to "F" off by the owner.
