This was my first experience at Toast with a party of 16. I got the Krispy Nutella French Toast and it was delightful. My husband got the Miss Lucy's Tortilla Scramble and it was out of this world. The fries and toast are delicious! My kids complained about the food, they didn't like the taste of the chicken fingers or potatoes since it has seasoning and as picky eaters, they did not approve of this. The only thing a few of us didn't like was the bacon. It was soggy and greasy and has a sweet flavor. I can't stand soggy bacon and I would get a mouthful of grease with each bite. However, everyone raved about their meals. I do want to give 5 stars to our waitress Samantha because she was born to be one! She was sweet, patient and on top of everything with such a large group, she was fantastic! The manager walked around making sure everyone was happy which was a plus. We called a week before to make reservations (Sunday at Noon) so we only waited 5-10minutes. But there was no walking room, people were waiting for up to 2 hours! I was here with a friend on Sunday for brunch and the line was super long. I think we checked in on the app and we were about 29th in line. So our total wait time ended up being about an hour and fifteen minutes even though they mentioned it would be about 45 minutes. So not super excited about the wait but since this place is supposed to be amazing, it gets a pass. The ambiance is really lovely, super inviting space with a very interesting floor plan and each of the employees was very nice and helpful. My server "surprised" me with a blueberry lemon mimosa and it was very tasty though much less fizzy than I would have preferred. Moving on to the food, I ordered a the bandito breakfast burrito. This dish is the reason why I deducted a star. It was super lackluster. The tortilla wasn't cooked through and I can't really forgive a raw tortilla regardless of the contents. The potatoes on the side were fine and I had some of my friends pancakes that were amazing. All in all I would go back though I would definitely order something different. read more

First time there. I ordered the Lemon Chicken salad and was disappointed that most of the salad was bad. So I mention it to the waiter and he tells me no it's the red leaf lettuce in the salad mix. I take a piece of lettuce and show him that it was black and rotten. Then he proceeds to tell me that it's 110 degrees in the kitchen and it's out all day & therefore that's there excuse for why the lettuce was bad. Lol that is the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard. First off why would your kitchen be a 110 degrees how is that a working environment for your employees and why isn't the lettuce kept in the refrigerator. I was very upset about the attitude I got from a waitress. And I will add, you have no idea who is who in the restaurant because they do not wear uniforms. So people come up and talk to you and ask you questions or say things to you... And it's really confusing. I was taking my grandma out for brunch and we had parked in the parking lot in a handicapped spot. We tried to come in the side entrance at first, but it was blocked by tables. We walked around through the front and sat on a bench and waited. She was out of breath from the walk but was OK. I figured that when we left, we'd just leave through rear exit, as there was a clear back exit in the restaurant that led to the south parking lot where my car was parked in a handicapped parking spot, which I could see right from the exit door. It wasn't impossible for her to go out the front...but...My elderly, disabled grandmother was very nervous about having to walk back out the front of the restaurant. It was a long distance to walk and through a very crowded area, where children were running around. It was also raining, and the entrance had a sloped wood floor that was slippery, slick, and wet. It would've been dangerous and tedious for her. So once we *finally* got seated, I got up to check if the rear egress was functional and it was absolutely clear and fine. I could see right to my car in our handicap spot, right through the window. But right away a waitress asked me what I was doing...so I said I was checking to make sure that this exit was OK to leave through so that later I could take my grandma back through this exit. I explained the whole situation... That my grandmother was elderly, disabled, and very feeble. About how the walk around had her out of breath. I explained that it would be much easier on her if we were able to just walk out this exit right to the car. The waitress said that normally patrons can use the door but not in the winter because it gets icy. Luckily it was mild...It was 50° and raining. But she said NO. I was very surprised because it did not seem like a big deal to make an exception for a 90 year old disabled woman whose handicapped spot is right out there. Especially considering it wasn't icy or cold, and there was nothing blocking the door. It was also clearly the safest option considering the chaos at the front of the building. I didn't really see how it could be a problem. To me, I would Want the disabled person to take the safest route that they felt most comfortable with. That would be accommodating. So I asked if she could make an exception just this once, seeing as my grandmother is very nervous about going out the other way, considering the walk, the rain, the crowd. She said she would check with the manager. But she never got back to me. So, after eating, we just went for it...like, this is the best and safest option. And if it were a problem, she'd have found me to tell me. But nope, right away she came over and with a nasty attitude and told me that we can't go out this way. My poor grandmother didn't know what to say. We were all confused. She blamed it on the manager and said the manager said under no circumstances can anyone go out the door. My poor grandma was so upset by the nasty, patronizing attitude of the waitress. It would've been one thing if she were empathetic or helpful...And it would've been professional if the manager would've came out. I did not argue or have an attitude at all. I simply asked if This could be an exception, that I'd be holding my grandmothers hand. But, She snapped at us saying that my grandma can sit and wait out front and we could pull up in our car. Apparently this waitress has never tried to park on Patchogue Main Street in front of her desired destination. (Impossible). After this experience, I wanted to go back and talk to the manager but I had to go to work. I work with disabled children as a teacher and work with disabled adults on the weekend. I also take care of my grandmother who has a handicap as well. I wanted to call the manager to explain my experience, but I felt like that would not serve any purpose or make any change. I just wanted to write this review so that future patrons planning to come here, whose circumstances stray from "the norm", are aware of the environment (ridiculously unaccommodating). Also after checking in and being told the wait would be 20 minutes, I waited one hour in total. I only waited this long because I checked with the hostess multiple times and she assured me it would be a few more minutes. To be honest, I did not think that the food was worth the wait. Some people there were complaining that they were waiting even longer. I don't understand why they would do that. You can get much better breakfast at the diner. Then after eating and trying to exit and dealing with such a rude waitress... It just ruined everyone's day. read more

This place was just ok. Very overpriced for just mediocre food. 12$ for pancakes!! I ordered the Belgian waffle it was a little soggy it only had a few berries and very small squirt of whipped cream on top. I was disappointed and sticker shocked at the menu. I usually don't mind spending the money if the food is worth it. I most likely will not eat here again. Ok a few things first before coming here- you got to be a patient person with the long waiting time to be seated 30 minutes to an hour seems average on weekends. I would be a happy camper with just the coffee and sweet potato fries! - maybe my next visit. I was going to order the special salmon eggs Benedict or the fun looking pancakes/waffles but I was really hungry and wanted meat so I ordered the Cuban Rueben with those delicious fries I told u about. I was having food envy while eating my dry Rueben with mismatch taste of mustard and sweet slaw on it. And nothing meshing well together not even the not so melted Swiss cheese could even fix. My friend had the burger with boring regular fries but the burger had a huge serving of perfect looking avocado slices and she said the burger was good!! I have to start by saying the food is amazing which makes it hard to give this place 1 star but if you're going to get it. Do NOT dine in. I joined the online waitlist at 1030 am for 3 people, which told me 50-60 minutes so I arrived in 45 minutes (11:15) as instructed by the website. When we arrived we were told 20 minutes which was fine but as time went on, 20 minutes was BS after being told repeatedly we were next. We didn't sit until 1215. I spoke to the manager Tiffany once I finally sat down and got nothing but excuses for the extended wait, she did not seem to care about how aggravated we were and tried to make us feel bad about how busy they were. I'm not the type to ask for anything free or a discount but nothing was offered for the almost extra 60 minutes we had to wait. I get it, it's a weekend brunch spot but communication is key and whoever was working the hostess desk is not good at their job. This was our first time to Toast in Patchogue and, yes, it was a long wait especially because there was the street "Italian Festival" going on. We didn't mind waiting since we gave them our cell phone number and we walked around the street and shops and we got a text when our table was ready; about 45 minutes. Our lunches were great, our waiter was attentive and we met the manager who was very personable. We loved the decor - looked like a former warehouse! I've had the Eggs Benedict, the Apple and Brie Grilled Cheese, the Spicy Shrimp and Mango Salad, and the Portobello Panini. All have been fantastic. I recently tried this place with my wife for lunch. My wife had eaten in the port Jefferson location but I had not. Iended up having breakfast and was very happy with the meal. I had the cornerstone omelet which was a large portion which came with roasted potatoes and of course toast. I had a multigrain toast which was delicious. I also tried the graham cracker coffee which I enjoyed as well. My wife also had an omelette Avacado blt omelet. She enjoyed hers as well. For the price ($11.95) it was well worth it. I like the decor and the music. Service was very good. Only 2 minor things: first the multigrain bread was$1 extra which we were not told about.
