I tried the Original Breakfast Burrito and it was a really good grab-and-go option scrambled eggs, potatoes, peppers, onions and Vermont white cheddar all came together nicely. i have been to the original port jeff location before. this new location is much larger. there was plenty of seating inside, and there was no wait for a party of three on a sunday afternoon. honestly, i enjoyed toast even more than i remembered. to start, i had the mediterranean omelet, which included feta cheese, tomatoes, and fried potatoes. the potatoes were seasoned so nicely, and the crunch of the sourdough paired perfectly with the creamy eggs. i also tried the french toast. it had such a beautiful warm cinnamon spice flavor and were topped with incredible cream and strawberries. it was the perfect combination and made for a wonderful sweet brunch treat. the avocado toast also blew me away. the crunchiness of the bread paired with the creamy avocado was the perfect combination. its simple but it worked really well and was incredibly satisfying. the coffee was great too. i appreciated that it was strong and came with cream on the side. overall, i was really impressed with everything we tried. the space itself is very cute inside, and i really enjoyed the overall vibe. service was wonderful, and i had a great experience from start to finish. read more

My husband and I went to Toast for breakfast and I loved the ambience from the minute we walked in. Very open and nicely decorated. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I ordered the cinnamon swirl French toast which was delicious and I had enough to take home for another meal. My husband had the 3 ring circus which is pancakes, eggs and sausage. This restaurant was a fantastic surprise! Being from out of town i had never heard or seen Toast Coffeehouse. My sister wanted to get her hair done and I wanted a hot drink so I went next door to get a coffee. When i stepped inside i didn't realize it was a restaurant. I saw the bar and asked if I could grab a seat. The inside atmosphere was warm and inviting along with many lovely Christmas decorations. Meanwhile outdoors it was freezing cold! I saw the appealing coffee menu on the board and was also given a printed menu with wonderful food and specialty drink options. The server behind the bar took time to chat with me. I ordered a hot chai tea to start and text my sister to join me at the coffee bar when she was done. We ended up sharing a great brunch and watched all the activity at this lively restaurant. The mimosa flights were very popular and looked amazing. Our brunch choice was served in a cast iron skillet. It started with a layer of sweet cornbread, then crispy sweet potato home fries with crumbled chorizo and topped with 2 poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Delish! All in all, a wonderful experience. I make it a point to try something different every time I come, and it has truly never disappointed. Everything is consistently delicious and clearly made with care. First time at the Port Jefferson Station location. Don't let the long wait scare you away. It's worth the wait and they are very efficient with turning tables over. We came for lunch. Grabbed a few seats at the bar while we waited for our table. The drinks looked amazing, but tasted just ok. My Irish coffee you couldn't barely taste the whiskey. Bloody Mary's were too spicy for the taste of the people i was with. But the bartender happily made another drink and took the bloody off the bill. Said our wait would be 1.5 hours, was in fact just under an hour. I had the shrimp with grits and it was outstanding! I often order this when I'm in Savannah Georgia, and have to say this was very well crafted and yummy. They have so many great menu choices for breakfast and lunch, it was hard to choose. When they moved out of Port Jefferson Village, I was glad to have great parking but it was further from my home. I decided to have my birthday breakfast with my wife at the new Toast Coffeehouse. We walked inside to a much larger space. We went to the host stand and left our cell number, our wait wasn't too long as I received a text in under 10 minutes. Once seated, we ordered the special weekend cocktail, the fall sangria. It was a little too sweet for my taste but my wife was happy with the drink. I'm trying to think of a great birthday brunch entree. What am I craving that screams birthday, French Toast? Pancakes? A burger? I found the best of both worlds with their Nashville Fried Chicken & Waffles dish. The waffles were made with sweet potatoes and that fried chicken was fire! Usually utilize the online waitlist but as per the website between 9:30-10am "no current wait, come join us!" Arrived at 10:10 and put our name in for 11 people, was advised 30 minutes to an hour wait. Around 10:45 asked how the wait was looking, the host stated they were putting 3 tables together and waiting for one to finish up eating. The 2 free tables were put together and another big party was sat. 2 booths were then available and they sat 1 of the booths. By 11:05 the host stated she did not know how much longer for a table and called over management. Managements solution was to fit 11 people into 1 booth or continue waiting with no end time in sight. Our family got together to spend time with our grandpa and wasted an hour of our morning at this poorly run location. We proceeded to the heritage diner where we were told 20 minute wait and sat under that allotted time provided (as a restaurant should). This is an overpriced facility with no care for one's time. I understand hospitality as I've worked in the industry. Jumping between "waiting for 1 table to finish up" to "we're not sure where else to put you other than the booth" and no resolution in sight, I will not be back. I had to push the table away from the window not to feel the wind seeping through the fixed pane. Not a good omen. The waitress was pleasant, but it was a long time before the brunch arrived at the table. I ordered the "Three Rind Circus" with a decaffeinated cappuccino. Instead of scrambled eggs, I received lukewarm eggs sunny side up, the bacon was not crisp, the ham was also lukewarm, the pancakes were gooey, and the home fries should have been left at home. To boot, the cappuccino was lukewarm, as were the bacon and eggs. Since, the coffee at the Toast of West Babylon, was extraordinary, I thought that that the coffee at the Port Jefferson Station location would be comparable. I could not have been more wrong. The coffee at the Port Jefferson Station establishment was undrinkable. The takeaways 1. Parking was difficult, even on a weekday morning. 2. The price to plate ratio is good. 3. This was our first time at Toast in Port Jefferson. We did the on line waiting and it was perfect-we arrived and got a seat in 10/15 minutes. That was awesome considering it was Easter Sunday. Our waitress was Antoinette. In light of the crowd she handled the order very well. Thumbs up to her. The food was amazing especially the cinnamon bun pancakes.
