Good find for a weekday brunch. Such a cute vibe from the outside and inside. It's definitely living up to the farmhouse, rustic theme. We sat at the large family style table and it was wonderful. There was a good crowd for a Thursday morning, I can imagine it gets fairly crowded during the weekends. They had a good selection of specials and the menu has something for everyone. I tried the special cookie butter latte. It packed a good cookie butter flavor, even rimmed with cookie butter. For food, I got the egg in a hole, which came with 2 sides. All of it was tasty and also had a nice presentation. The pancakes and French toast looked to be delicious as well. The prices are really reasonable. Most, if not all, dishes came with a side. This seems rare to find these days without it costing extra. It's a spot worth checking out.

Great family spot! Visited Buttermilk's Pancake House on March 20th with my kids and nephews and we had a great experience. The food was fresh, portions were generous, and the kids loved the menu. Josiah had the PB&J with fruit, Aaliyah had grilled cheese with fries (9/10), Maddox and Henry both gave their meals a 10/10, and Brooks enjoyed his short stack though it was a bit dry. We also ordered extra fries for the table and everyone enjoyed them. My French toast was delicious -- so good my son ate half and rated it a 10/10. Kids loved their Shirley Temples and chocolate milk. My mint mimosa was refreshing and delicious. Our waiter Juan was excellent -- very attentive and friendly. Overall, a great kid‑friendly place. We'll definitely be back.

The servers are always the part of the dining experience because they are super friendly and nice/patient. This is my third time here. The French toast was delicious. Seasonal mint chocolate coffee was delicious ($7) which I wished I could have refills of!

Came to this establishment while I was attending a family wake service. Very nice and clean place. Great service as well. I had the Hercules Omlette. The omelette was very fresh and fluffy and long with the vegetables and the feta cheese that was in it. The hash browns were very delicious as well and had a unique taste to it. I think they might have added some seasoning to it like old bay. The wheat toast was on point as well. The orange juice very fresh for it was freshly squeezed. Loved it. Highly recommend this place if you are out far in Long Island in Suffolk county.

I came here on a Sunday morning for early breakfast with ample seating, though it does fill up very quickly! The menu is extensive with sweet and savory options. I went with an omelette and hash browns, which came with a large portion size. The buttermilk biscuit was warm and delicious, which is huge because I don't particularly like biscuits. The service was also excellent! I would definitely come back with friends!

Absolutely amazing brunch spot. I got the s'mores French toast and my friend got the cannoli French toast. So filling but so good. Love the creativity in their menu. Service was quick and attentive. It was a little cold today but it looks like the front windows open up to create sidewalk seating on warm days

Classic diner. Great staff. Big on food. Can't ask for anything more. Even on a weekday post 10am, the place is packed, and I can see why. There's a bit of option anxiety with the menu that it took a while for us to order, wanting everything. Ordered pancakes with blueberries and walnuts, side sausage. One of the best pancakes I've had. Also ordered pulled pork grilled cheese, honestly expecting a cheese melt. But this was a full on pulled pork sandwich. Maybe something we should've asked about. Can't say for the other grilled cheese sandwiches if they are like this. Also not sure if we're disappointed or pleasantly surprised as we were craving a grilled cheese. If we stop by again, this may be one of the first stops again tho. Pancakes are too good to pass up

Nice place busy but we didn't wait.. fast service.. good food and a lot of variety in the menu.. perfect brunch ambiance and will definitely come back

Such a great place for brunch! Where do I begin?! Pros: text message system when your table is ready, super easy and you can walk around the area in the meantime. non pork breakfast meat options- turkey bacon which is a huge win for me! Generous portions, my hubby and I shared the apple pie pancakes and southwest burrito and we still brought home a doggy bag! No cons, really just a long wait if you go prime brunch time. They have a great text back option when your table is ready so you can walk around town while you're waiting. I'll definitely be back here!!

This is the best brunch place in Patchogue HANDS DOWN. you are not gonna get a better bang for your buck here. I mean look at this Belgian waffle! Service is fast, kind and all around just great. It gets very crowded on the weekends for brunch and it is pretty loud. But seriously if you're torn between Buttermilks or Toast, GO HERE!

The service has been historically good. Very pleasant and attentive staff! The wait can be long sometimes-it isn't that big inside! The good thing is there's so much to do on Main Street you can find something to do for a bit if you need to. The food is generally good. Bring your appetite-the portions are usually pretty large and full of calories! The alcoholic drinks are just okay...not the place If you want good drinks with brunch but it's nice they even have the option. I don't go here often but it's a great option for brunch.

Food never disappoints. Definitely best pancakes around! A little noisy due to lack of sound absorbers and service is usually very good.

Ask the Community - Buttermilk's Farmhouse

Hi was wondering if you take reservations on Sunday for a party of 21? Thanks

You would have to call up Buttermilk's directly. It's not a very big place so I don't know if taking up so much space for 1 party would be something they're likely to do especially on a busy Sunday morning when it would be so crowded and busy.

Can you call ahead or make reservations?

    Reservations are not accepted.

Additionally, they have an extensive menu which features, seafood, steaks, pasta and burgers. On this occasion we went for the happy hour menu. Added bonus: trivia night. My wife and I are avid trivia participants and this one is pretty good if you're so inclined. Drink wise my wife went with her go to favorite, the Lemon Elderflower Gin Spritz which she proclaims is The Best Drink Ever! As a rum fan I grabbed a few Sunset Punches. A solid rum punch, not the best in Patchogue but good nonetheless. We ordered food from the happy hour menu. Shrimp corn chowder soup. Awesome. Chicken fingers were top notch. Antonio's baked clams were good. They are diced clams, heavily breaded and a bit salty. If you're like me and enjoy clams I'd go with the Clams casino off the regular menu. The atmosphere here is spectacular! Vacation atmosphere right here at home. Great vibe, friendly crowd. By the way, it's called Sunset Harbor for a reason. The sunset view here is spectacular! On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.
