I will say we had visited the Kentucky Horse Park several times before we actually found the Bit and Bridle. I wish we had found it sooner. It is not fancy but serves a wide variety of food in a cool and restful place. When visiting the Kentucky Horse Park you can get hot and tired. They have several refreshing salads on the menu along with burgers and chicken fingers. There were several sandwiches listed too. You can order on a video with touch screen which is nice. It is easy to add or subtract things from your order. The prices were pretty reasonable. The portions were large. I had the pecan chicken salad with strawberries. It was very good. This is a nice option to eating outside in the Kentucky Horse Park when the weather is hot.

We took a staycation, or sort of a test run to break in our new popup camper. We were camping over at the Horse Park Campground and decided to head out for brunch. Not knowing which HP restaurant we would choose, we stopped at the first one that we noticed. This is one of three restaurant or cafe options on location at the Horse Park. The parking lot is sort of at the back of the restaurant. It's not clearly marked, so maybe I missed signage on the outside. I will admit that the decor and atmosphere is a bit dated, but the food options outweigh that factor, in my opinion. You order at the front, near the salad bar. The fully stocked salad bar, I might add. You can either order or fill your selection by a small bowl or by the plate. There was too many items for me to list, so here is some of what I put on my plate: mushrooms, celery and carrot sticks, cubed and shredded cheese. I piled it high. I promise you that I got my $6.75 worth. One thing to keep in mind, are the 10am-3pm hours. For me, this experience was at the right place at the right time.

The charm of old tables with mismatched chairs, even a bench made from an old bed headboard. The staff is great. Quick to answer questions and offer suggestions. The bar is huge. Bottles upon bottles. Then there is the food. Locally sourced and cooked to order. My mom ordered the catfish. It looked delicious and she ate every bite on the plate. My breakfast bowl was absolutely perfect! Potatoes roasted to perfection with awesome hot sausage with eggs cooked to order and covered in the best sausage gravy that I have ever had! Note: I love sausage gravy and have eaten it all over the country. Bravo to the chef! We will be back!

Arrived for my reservation, at lunch, and was seated immediately ( that is a plus - everything was looking good ). Waitress came to get drink order, only to realize she had failed to give us drink menu.Once that was resolved, drinks ordered and corn bread starter ordered. Cornbread delivered, drinks arrive. waitress was slow, kept saying she was new, she was tired, etc... Having been in the service industry, I understand, but not my problem. Here is when the meal went south... when we go to order, we are told no chicken, no steak. Only real options are the chicken and dumplings, sloppy joe, hamburger, meatloaf, ham or fish. Any other beef dish, or chicken dish is not available ( think half the menu ). Had we of known, before the drinks and cornbread, we might have left, as we had driven an hour for brisket and fried chicken. It was extremely disappointing. I went with the chicken and dumplings, as I don't eat fish, or beef, and can't eat pork products. I ordered a side of mashed potatoes and was told the chicken and dumplings came on a bed of mash - nope, apparently it does not. Expecting mash, I ordered carrots... guess what the chicken and dumplings come with carrots! So I got a bunch of carrots, no mash. The others in my party ordered the sloppy joes and both said they were okay, but not what they drove an hour to eat. In my opinion a restaurant, that is closed on Monday, should not be out of half of their menu items on Tuesday. I'd there are delivery issues, they had all day Monday to come up with alternate items, source other foods, etc.. Our waitress rarely came around, never offered refills, or asked how our meals were. At the end, she messed up our tickets so many times, that we finally just paid. I am no longer in a hurry to go to Local Feed and it will not be a place I drive an hour, to eat. To say it has gone downhill, is an understatement. PS - we spent roughly $175 (3 women, with drinks)

Drive down the street just past Taco Bell and then turn right. Parking spaces are both adjacent to the building as well as across a traffic lane. There is a handicapped space right in front of door. Seating is mix of tables and booths, but there were also a couple seats at the counter in the rear. The menu is above the counter. It offers a wide variety of choices. We placed our order and found a table. We received our food in about 10 minutes. The falafel was crispy outside and warm and flavorful inside. The chicken shawarma was nothing short of exceptional. The flavors were intense and the accompanying salad was fresh and light. The very garlicky hummus was amazingly good. The kofta kebab was another excellent choice. The tzatziki sauce is freshly made and very flavorful. Even the rice was light, fluffy, and flavorful. Yaffa Grill is a true gem to find and certainly deserves a visit.

I got the large fattoush salad with extra lamb, and it was the best Mediterranean and best lamb I've ever tried!! Generous servings and tender meat, cooked to perfection with great spices! Everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made to order. My food arrived quickly, even though you could tell it had just been prepared. I ordered the papaya salad and the tom kha chicken soup, both at spice level 3. The spice level was perfect, with just enough heat to enhance the flavors without overpowering the dishes. The papaya salad was crisp, refreshing, and full of vibrant flavor, while the tom kha chicken soup was rich, creamy, hearty, and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous enough that I had leftovers, which I shared with my husband for dinner later that evening, and they were just as tasty the second time around. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. There is also plenty of space for groups to enjoy their meals inside. It is very clean and welcoming. If you're looking for authentic, fresh Thai food with excellent service and generous portions, I highly recommend Thai House. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!
