Great breakfast and lunch I probably eat there two or more times a week. The staff is wonderful and I'd recommend it to anyone

Bathroom is large. Comes with a closed door for the toilet and an extra mirror with vanity and extra 1x mirror for your face. Great for plucking, makeup, all the things. Our water in the tub didn't drain well at all. We were in room 1810. Evening staff for checkout was very nice. Checked in late and were hungry. Java's Deli and Smokehouse were open late. We got it to go and went back upstairs. Great burgers at Smokehouse. My baby enjoyed his pizza from the deli. TV wasn't working well with the remote, but we figured it out and made it work. Bed was comfortable. Carpet could use a good cleaning. Checkout was easy though the morning crew was very dry and not friendly. Overall, was decent for what we needed.

Nothing over the top, but well maintained and easy to relax in after being out all day. The property itself felt lively but not overwhelming. Parking was easy and getting around was simple, which made the whole stay smooth. Location is convenient if you're in the Shreveport area. Staff was friendly and helpful the whole time, from check in to check out. Overall, it felt like a good value for what you get. I'd definitely stay here again.

To be fair when we walked in there were multiple big tables just sat in front of us. Took my Midwest husband here while we were in town for fights. And he got to eat REAL grits for the first time. He ordered Chicken and Waffles, and I just ordered side of grits with Cajun gravy and soft scrambled eggs. Eggs were not soft scrambled, but somehow that is always a big ask. That did not even matter though!!! Jazz was our server and she was amazing, the food was so damn good!!! The best chicken and waffles my husband has ever had, and grits that would put my Granny's to shame. Wish I would have taken pics first... But we devoured the plates! I normally eat like three bites from each thing we order, I was fighting my husband for the food until there was nothing left on any plate. If you are in Bossier/Shreveport area come here!!!!!! This is my new staple when here!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were able to check in and sit in our car but It was about an hour wait for a party of two we ended up getting a sampler of breakfast options, which turned out to be really good. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the cornbread waffle. It just came across really dry, not really loaded with flavor and the worst thing about the entire experience for me was plastic cutlery. The food is too rich or dense for Thin cheap cutlery either

Some places don't just feed you -- they stay with you…read more Today I walked into this little restaurant and instantly felt at ease, like it was already familiar somehow. The room was beautiful in a quiet, elegant way, thoughtfully put together, warm and welcoming. And the people... every single waitress greeted us with kindness, but Miss Tammy -- oh, she was something special. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever. So sweet, so genuine, the kind of service you don't forget. The food came out and from the very first bite, it was clear this was a place that cooks with love. The eggs, the omelet, the French toast -- everything tasted like comfort. And then there was the millionaire bacon -- perfectly caramelized with brown sugar and just a touch of chili flakes. Sweet, smoky, with a gentle heat that teased your taste buds like heaven. Absolutely unforgettable. The portions were generous in the best way, and the prices were more than fair, especially for a breakfast that leaves you full and happy. But listen... the coffee. That coffee wrapped around you like a warm blanket. And then came the meat pies -- crispy, flavorful, absolutely unforgettable. Paired with those potatoes -- golden and crisp on the outside, soft and tender on the inside -- perfectly made, just the way they should be. The owner was there today too, sitting with friends, laughing and enjoying himself, and somehow that made the place feel even more real -- like you were stepping into a slice of everyday life, not just a restaurant. If you're looking for a true southern breakfast, a place with heart, warmth, and soul -- this is it. This is where you go when you want to feel something, not just eat. We'll be back. Without a doubt. And Miss Tammy -- thank you. You made the day brighter than you know.

Ordered our food at that time. We checked in at the 40 minute mark and come to find out that our food still wasn't ready. Apparently the waiter put the order in on the wrong name - so that had to be fixed. And then when it was fixed they had a large party in front of ours that needed to be prepared first before ours. Needless to say we have now been sitting in this restaurant for over an hour with a cup of coffee and no food. If you want a quick breakfast spot, this is not the place. I would not recommend coming here with children because I cannot imagine them waiting patiently for an hour for breakfast. I have yet to receive our food even after writing this long review. But any place where you have to wait this long to get some eggs and a pancake I cannot recommend.

A quick look at Yelp showed Strawn's Eat Shop listed at number one in diners locally. The inside is a mix of old timey and funky with lots of creative murals painted on the walls. We quickly received our drinks and ordered. Our waitress was outstanding but I didn't get her name. Our food was soon there and we dug in. My chicken fried steak was good but the mashed potatoes and cornbread were the stars. I'm not a big fan of salad or green beans but they were pretty good for vegetation. My wife enjoyed her catfish basket. She prefers cornmeal on catfish over flour breading and was pleased with the crispy cornmeal and the generous portion. Now for the main event. Pie! Strawn's is known for their strawberry pie and for good reason. It was the best strawberry pie that I have ever eaten. The whipped cream topping was transcendent and paired perfectly with the strawberries. My photo does not do this pie justice. My wife went with coconut pie and while it was very good the strawberry was the winner. Looking forward to returning to Straw's Eat Shop in the future.
