AGAIN, this place is never fails to disappoint! We were in Shreveport for a graduation with our family and when they wanted to meet for breakfast before they flew out, of course we took them to Strawn's. Everyone was impressed with the service and the food. The only thing that dint go right is the food was so good, they were too full to get the strawberry pie. Well, everyone except me. I sure did order my usual BLT, had me a tender, flaky, buttery biscuit (how could I not) and a creamy, sweet, juicy fresh piece of strawberry pie. Our waitress was fabulous! She put on such a southern show. She had a wonderful personality and sense of humor. She was very kind to my 3 year old niece who absolutely loved her. The experience was special. If you're in Shreveport Strawn's is the place to go.

This place is a no frills diner that gets the job done if you're craving some breakfast food. They have a variety of reasonably-priced options for breakfast (note: lunch menu starts at 11a or 12p) The sandwich doesn't look like much, but it does taste pretty decent. Maybe it's the soft toasted hamburger bun or the sausage or egg, but it was better than it appeared. They have some icebox pies that we didn't get a chance to try because we were too full, but otherwise this place is a decent option for breakfast. Waitstaff was nice and attentive. Worth a stop if you're looking for a home-y atmosphere!

We were in town visiting one of the casinos and decided that we wanted to grab breakfast. I found them place due to the high ratings and I'm so glad that we decided to give it a shot! You do have to drive through some not so great neighborhoods/areas to get here from the casinos but don't let that stop you! The interior of the restaurant gives you old time-y diner vibes. The walls are all painted and you can tell that a lot of the customers are regulars here. I ordered the two eggs breakfast and my husband got the hungry man breakfast. There was so much food between us and we didn't finish it all but that didn't stop us from trying some of their famous pies! We got the strawberry pie after our waitress told us that was their most popular one and it was delicious! Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast and time at this restaurant! If you're visiting in Shreveport, don't pass this up!

First time going to this old fashion famous eatery. You seat yourself and a server comes to you. We had great service and our waitress was friendly and attentive. We had the grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The chicken sandwich was really good and the fries were ok, could have been fried longer. We also tried the 2 stack pancakes and those were very tasty! They are famous for their pies but we were too full to try so we will be returning! Great place for family and or friends! Remind you of an old fashion diner!

Food was good not great. I asked for crispy bacon and got 2 hot seconds away burnt bacon. 1 waitress taking care of a whole restaurant. Granted my visit was during the middle of the week but still that's a lot for one person At 9 AM there was no biscuits which is what I really wanted to taste. Sad and weird. Waitress despite being a one woman show was very nice polite and made sure I was OK.

Recommended to us while visting Shreveport and boy we were not steered wrong. SO impressed with this place. We were told to get breakfast and their famous strawberry icebox pie so that's what we did. And no exaggeration: this is the best chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, and pie we've EVER HAD. Seriously. I am going to be dreaming about it for a while. This is just everything a diner should be - amazing food and service, quirky interior, eclectic crowd. Hopefully we can come back someday. One caveat: our breakfast potatoes were undercooked (and I mean undercooked) when she first brought our plates. But it doesn't diminish my review because when I pointed it out, she was very quick to get us new batches and those were crispy and delicious, so all was forgiven.

The room was beautiful in a quiet, elegant way, thoughtfully put together, warm and welcoming. And the people... every single waitress greeted us with kindness, but Miss Tammy -- oh, she was something special. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever. So sweet, so genuine, the kind of service you don't forget. The food came out and from the very first bite, it was clear this was a place that cooks with love. The eggs, the omelet, the French toast -- everything tasted like comfort. And then there was the millionaire bacon -- perfectly caramelized with brown sugar and just a touch of chili flakes. Sweet, smoky, with a gentle heat that teased your taste buds like heaven. Absolutely unforgettable. The portions were generous in the best way, and the prices were more than fair, especially for a breakfast that leaves you full and happy. But listen... the coffee. That coffee wrapped around you like a warm blanket. And then came the meat pies -- crispy, flavorful, absolutely unforgettable. Paired with those potatoes -- golden and crisp on the outside, soft and tender on the inside -- perfectly made, just the way they should be. The owner was there today too, sitting with friends, laughing and enjoying himself, and somehow that made the place feel even more real -- like you were stepping into a slice of everyday life, not just a restaurant. If you're looking for a true southern breakfast, a place with heart, warmth, and soul -- this is it. This is where you go when you want to feel something, not just eat. We'll be back. Without a doubt. And Miss Tammy -- thank you. You made the day brighter than you know.

The BLT spread seems like a mayo spread with chopped bacon, tomato, & herbs. It was really light and good. My husband loved his SHRIMP PO BOY.
