I bought a 35 dollar glass piece from this shop approximately 2 weeks ago. I've since called 3…read moretimes and sent them a video of the pipe. I've yet to receive a refund. When I called again today , they both claimed that they were informed of the situation and then tried to claim also that they didn't fail to call me back (how were you informed then?) nor did they attempt any further outreach on the situation. Only after I called a 4th time, was I told I was out of luck! the pipe came with a hole in it, i sent them a video that day, I offered the woman to send a video of me destroying the pipe for a refund and she told me I had to wait over the weekend because it was a Friday (this was the 8th of december)! after weeks of calls. I should have just done a chargeback after getting the phone call pulled because I was already offered a refund in return for the video of the flaw! 2 hours invested to try to get glass handled that is very clearly flawed if you can see how thin it was on some part of the pipe. a toothpick sized hole like this would not be detected even if I did your "so-called water test" your staff did NOT suggest. I thought you were a glass shop, yet you aren't willing or knowledgeable enough to inspect glass to see if it was indeed flawed upon manufacturing? Irrespective of the fact the pipe was used, 1) its clearly manufacturing 2) if you gave me $1 for iso alcohol I'd have cleaned it out, but with the amount of time i've spent on the phone I shouldn't have to spend more going down to the store to deal with this. My issue felt like it was not taken seriously as a customer and I felt forced to assert my stance as an honest customer trying to get things resolved during the phone interactions. PS: if you're going to reply to my comment, tell me you'll be providing me a solution, not a one-liner to save face on your Google Reviews. Hmmmm, SHADY. They refer you to the website, which didn't allow me to look for the vape I asked about, but it DID show the up-sell (only packs/kits and such). I worked in sales for a long time, and this "policy" smacks of bait/switch, or at the very least, of the type of business that counts on being able to take advantage of walk-ins... doesn't matter if a consumer sees the price on the shelf or on the box in the store, because places like "Holy Smokes" rely on people making the trip in and buying (settling) for whatever price-point offered because they are already there (and who wants to drive or walk all over kingdom come)? I wound up calling another smoke/vape shop in town, and the gent there was super-helpful, answered all of my questions, and gave me a price right away. Guess who got the sale? The other guys. (P.S. I spend minimum $60 per week at this store. It used to be good. The staff has completely changed…read moreover the years and there's so little enthusiasm behind the counter now that it feels like I'm bothering them by walking in every time. These people are at work and their attitudes are terrible. Not sure if it's the hiring or some new training but there's not a single happy/helpful person left in the whole group. I don't need some chipper fake person but i certainly don't want to feel like my business is a nuisance as i walk in either. I'm done hoping they're just having an "off" day. I'll be doing business elsewhere from now on.
