Nellie talked with me in advance and checked in with me along the ride. I felt like she understood me and didn't make me feel bad about not coloring my grays. Owner was friendly and it seemed like there were many regular customers. Two months later and my husband is still complimenting my cut. Luckily for me, Claudette was very kind and patient. She went over the different types of facials that she offers and explained the benefits of each one. My main concern was to even out my skin tone from acne scars and clean out my pores, so we ended up going with the Microdermabrasion facial. I will admit that even after the consultation I was still nervous. I knew that there would be buffing involved and was very scared that it would hurt and my skin would look raw! But boy was I wrong. Claudette was very gentle and took her time, making sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing. Within minutes I was completely relaxed and forgot that I was ever worried about anything. My skin looked absolutely beautiful afterwards and felt softer than it ever has before. I definitely recommend trying her out - especially if you've never gotten a facial before. I want to share my experience with Enrique as both a masseuse and as the business owner of Face to Face NYC: Enrique gave me the "Ultimate Massage". When I came into the office at the lobby Enrique quickly acknowledged and greeted me. He went to make sure the room as perfect and then came back outside to take me into the room. The room was perfectly lit and air conditioned. He politely gave me time alone to get ready for the table and came back several minutes later to start the massage. The Ultimate Massage: I have never done a deep tissue massage before and so I was not sure what to expect. Enrique delivered in the perfect amount of pressure to apply onto my hard knots both on my back and my shoulders. He started off on my shoulders and upper back and I had such difficult knots on my shoulders it was so painful feeling him loosen them up gradually. But that "pain" was pain of relief and comfort. Enrique did a wonderful job on my neck, shoulders, and back. He then proceeded to the rest of my body: legs, feet, arms, and hands. I had no idea that I had secret hard knots all over my forearm and legs. Enrique used his professionalism and history of his craft by doing techniques that helped to ease up painful knots that has never been touched before; especially in a deep tissue massage. Overall: I felt very relieved and satisfied at the end of my Ultimate Massage that I had asked Enrique if he had time for 30-45 minutes more for a deep tissue massage specifically for my back and shoulders. They say pictures speak more than words, so I will provide the images below. For my birthday I wanted a different, new fresh look so I reached out to book a butterfly haircut with face framing. May 2 2025 I went for service, when the so-called hairstylist finish my service, she failed to provide a mirror so I could see the back of my haircut, but I lasted a long time there so I needed to leave. While I was waiting for my ride, I seemed the receptionist and the hairstylist who did my hair talking in a different language, but they both kept looking at me. I stood up and tried to see the back of my hair but since it was partially curled( which was a request I did not ask for it.) I couldn't really tell the horrible job that she had done. I had my boyfriend take a picture once I left the salon. I reached out and let them know the horrible job they did, so they unhappily booked me for the next day made it seem like the other hairstyles were extremely busy and I was being an Inconvenience. The hairstyle that I seen that day told me the girl Who styled my hair didn't even use the right scissors to cut my hair and she agreed my haircut was cut was horrible. She tried to fix it, but obviously could not attached to Hair the other stylist removed so the "fix" is still horrible. I even heard the new hairstyle tell another customer as I was leaving that my hair was ruined by another hairstylist in that salon.I reached out to them, received my refund. I did ask the receptionist why she kept looking at me once my haircut was done. She admitted she was asking my hairstylist. Why was my hair cut "so different" The hairstylist apparently told her that's what I asked for, mind you she seen it was horrible and was the person who booked my appointment when I specifically asked for face framing, butterfly haircut. receptionist didn't provide me a mirror or bothered to take five seconds to ask if I was satisfied with my service. after all this was said and done, my hair is completely ruined. They chopped half of my hair off. The owner never bothered to reach out to me even though she was aware of the situationand the receptionist only advice was I hope your hair grows fast.. I took all the correct steps. I looked for a certified location and had this unfortunate, terrible traumatizing service not to mention it's permanent till my hair grows out. I am writing this review for anyone who does the mistake of going to the website and seen the beautiful work, but the truth is otherwise. Please, please please do not come to this hair salon. It should be shut down. Avoid the emotional damage they cause with a smile. The owner never reached out, even though the receptionist let me know she was aware of my situation. The owner only solution was a manicure which I was appalled, since it had nothing to do with my service, and I denied the free manicure In the fear of what else could go wrong or losing a finger. What made sense to me was maybe 1 of the products in the salon since they had walls full of them but they denied it. The one thing I can say about that location is, they have great teamwork as they all work together to destroy my hair.
