I go here regularly for a brazilian. Yesterday I went in for Brazillian and underarm with Chanel. She was pressing the wooden stick so hard it hurt a lot especially in the underarms. She was pressing down so hard while spreading the wax that one of the wooden sticks BROKE and STABBED ME in the armpit. I was already in a lot of pain from her pressing hard, the stab didn't feel too bad. She didn't even apologize and just brushed it off. While on the way home the armpit she stabbed started chafing against my shirt and I come home to see it was bleeding!!! paid over $100 to get stabbed in the pit is too disappointing. My armpit is not only wounded from the wood pieces but also its bruised from the way she was pressing hard and dragging! read more

I would give the Riverhead location a Zero if I could. Utter disappointment in this location. I have been going to European Wax Centers all over Long Island and Florida without an issue for years. However, I had a horrible experience with a waxer who was doing a Brazilian wax. She badly ripped my skin. I called the store at 9:30 this morning asking to speak to a manager. I was told that one would email me back. Not sure why they couldn't call me. After 11 hours no one has emailed me. How can a client call and say I'm bleeding and need to speak to a manager and not get a call back??? read more

It was my first time ever at one of these wax centers. On the building it says in huge letters 'first wax free'.. i called them and asked to schedule and appointment and i made sure to ask the woman who answered the phone if it was in fact 100% free and she assured me that it was. The day of my appointment , my waxer was great but she kept trying to sell me products I was not interested in. The place was clean and staff were super nice. I usually go to Patchogue but had just found out this one closer to me had opened recently and so I stopped in to try it. I am happy with the shape of my brows, but unfortunately my wax specialist burned me and left wax strings all over my face when she was done. I had to carefully pick wax out of my eyelashes so they didnt rip out, and there was a point where she caught a piece or two of my normal hair in the wax and i felt it get pulled out. In regard to the burning, she applied very hot wax (hotter than normal as I am an avid user of EWC) on the same area of each of my brows twice, which hurt at the time and I thought was unusual. My skin under my brows was more irritated than is normal when I left but I was hoping it would go away. I am 7 hours out from my wax right now and I have red burns in lines on where she double applied the hot wax. Im sure that the entire location is not bad, and the staff were professional and nice, but I cannot say I would ever come back even though it is 20 minutes closer to my house. I will stick with Patchogue where I have never been injured or had to peel wax off myself. read more
