I've literally been meaning to come here for years and finally gave it a shot today... ordered a tostilocos and two ice creams, both were super delicious and definitely hit the spot! My only complaint was trying to read the menu, it moved a little too fast... aside from that, the service was great and I'll absolutely come back when I'm in the area again

A literal fingernail I had to get out of my mouth after I ate a scoop full of ice cream.

I bought two scoops of chocolate chip this afternoon and as I was almost done I found (literally almost ate) a fingernail!! If I hadn't felt it in my mouth, I would have swallowed it! A literal cut jagged fingernail! I'm never getting ice cream from this place again.

Love this place!! They have everything you could ever want from ice cream and paletas to chamangos and tostiloscos! I first found out about this place when a good friend recommended it, as I was craving a chamango. It's always been a go-to for me, when I have that craving! Tocumbos is located right off the Los Alamos exit from the 215 freeway. It's almost hidden in a corner of the shopping plaza with the Starbucks and post office. Parking is never a problem and the store is always clean. Employees have always been friendly. The last time I went in, I called before I went to be sure they were still open. You never know these days with the rona still lingering and Yelp sometimes doesn't have updated hours. The lady who answered obviously didn't speak a lot of English but I'm pretty sure she got the gist of what I was trying to ask. When I got there, she made my chamango even though she was getting ready to close up shop. I appreciated that she wasn't in a rush or tried to scoot me out the door. Some people do that (consider yourself blessed if it hasn't happened to you, lol). It was bomb as usual and it's a good size for what you get. I'll be coming more often again since the weather is warming up! Recommend them for all your chamango and similar cravings. You also need to try their cream cheese ice cream. YUMMM!!!

Love this place, super family oriented, fresh homemade ice cream (we love the natural flavors and that it's not too sweet), awesome customer service and they are always so patient and helpful whenever we visit with our large family and our large orders. Their menu is super extensive with sweet and savory options and everything in between to please anyone's cravings

My version Mangoneada

Today was the longest Ive ever seen the line in there. It was out the door. I usually like to get a fruit water. They have a ton of different fresh fruit that they chop up in the shop right in front of you. I like watermelon water the best. There are a several different ice cream flavors to choose from as well. I usually stay away from the ice cream though. Some of the flavor choices are pretty tempting however like tres leches, and animal cookie. Today I got a Mangoneada. I asked for it with more mango and less ice cream, and to add chaca chaca and chamoy. Its pretty tasty but not all the mango pieces are firm like I like my mango. If you've never been to Tacumbo, you definitely should try it at least once to compare to similar shops in San Diego.

Mangana (mango and banana) with real mango

Business must always be good for cooling down since this area is known to have extreme heat. I happen to be in the area for the weekend, and wanted a cool down, Yelp suggested Tocumbo. Mangonada is one of the most popular items so why not try it?! It was tasty and refreshing. The straw is even covered in the chili pepper, note that the pepper melts off quickly in the ice cream, which can make it too "spicy. " (Off topic: I haven't had chili-pepper since I was little from the ice cream truck that would swing by after school.) One of my favorite parts about this item is the fact that real mangoes are used and the ice cream isn't too sweet. Generous portion might I add. It's also surprisingly filling as I wasn't too hungry for dinner.

Abby handing me a delicious Fresas con Crema!

Don't come a Saturday at 5pm. 1 employee working. Expect over half hour wait for an ice cream cone.

Food: 5 Service: 5…read moreAmbiance: 5 Hidden gem alert! Tucked into an unassuming strip mall, you would never guess such a sexy, sophisticated spot is sitting right in the middle of it all. From the moment we walked into Fugghedabout, we were stunned. The space is dark, sultry, lightly dimmed, and incredibly chic, something you'd never expect here. It has a very grown up, intimate vibe (21+ only), perfect for date night or a night out with friends. We were lucky enough to visit on a night with live music (they have it Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays), and it completely set the mood. Even though it wasn't very busy, the energy was wonderful and the music was excellent. Service was top notch. Meghan was fantastic, friendly, attentive, accommodating, and so helpful throughout the meal. Faith, the owner, also stopped by several times to check on us, which earned major points. Such a sweet touch and much appreciated. Now the food... wow. We started with the seared scallop special topped with caviar, and it was outstanding, perfectly cooked, with the caviar adding just the right touch of saltiness. Honestly, we wanted to order more. The hot goat cheese with hot honey appetizer was delicious and so comforting. Definitely get extra bread, you'll want it. Since it was Taco Tuesday, we tried the taco trio with chicken, steak, and shrimp. The steak and shrimp were standouts. The chicken was slightly dry, but overall we really enjoyed them. And the biggest surprise of the night was the shrimp and sausage skillet. Absolutely incredible. So flavorful and rich, and again we needed more bread to soak up every bit of that delicious sauce. We also ordered the crème brûlée for dessert, which was good. The sugar topping was slightly thick, and I'll admit I'm a bit of a dessert snob, so while we enjoyed it, the meal itself was really the shining star of the night. I'm already dreaming about my next visit. I was genuinely impressed by everything, service, ambiance, food, and live music. This place is a whole vibe. Five stars all the way. Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing food in a sultry, intimate setting. I've already recommended it to several friends. Thank you Meghan and Faith for such a great night. We'll definitely be back!

Fuhgeddaboudit! But my visit was so memorable that I will never forget about it!…read more Faith (owner) really has something special in Windomar, CA., just off of the Clinton Keith exit of Interstate 15. Imagine an elegant Wine Bar with dim lighting, an Old Skool atmosphere, and a wine list and menu of entrees and appetizers that will challenge any palate, compliments of Chef Orquedea. It was our first visit, arriving just as they opened, and having the whole romantic, classy speakeasy all to ourselves, our server Megan, made us feel right at home. Ensuring we received a little history about the establishment, the day's specials, and what some of their customers' favorites. To begin the experience, we received complimentary glasses of sparkling wine in celebration of their one-year anniversary, which was a nice touch. After a brief moment, we settled on sausage and three-cheese skillet appetizers with a house baguette. The two dishes arrived piping hot, gooey, and enticing! Amazingly delicious to say the least! Kudos to their place settings, glassware, and cloth napkins. Our selected wine was excellent as well, and the selection is very worldly and admirable. THIS is my favorite date place in the area!!! Chill, fashionable, comfortable seating, gorgeous bar, soft music in the background allowing for conversation, and the restroom provides a pleasant surprise as well. Hours of operation hover around Happy Hour and dinner, closing at 9 PM on weekdays and 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. Looking forward to enjoying their live entertainment and themed events in the future, at which time I will follow up on this review. Thank you, Faith, Megan & Orquedea for a wonderful time.--

Talia Kitchen was hands down one of the highlights of our visit to Murrieta Hot Springs Resort…read more From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and restorative--perfectly reflecting the wellness-focused spirit of the resort. The open, beautiful space felt like it nourished both the body and soul. We started with the House Focaccia & Whipped Fresh Ricotta, topped with saba reduction, pine nut gremolata, and moon drop grapes. It was absolutely incredible and the perfect way to begin the meal. We also enjoyed the Roasted Potato Purée alongside our dinner, and it was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The dehydrated parsley, fried garlic, and grilled scallion oil elevated a seemingly simple dish into something truly memorable. For our entrée, we both ordered the Braised Brandt Beef Prime Short Rib, served with stokes purple yam purée, bon shimeji mushroom conserve, kohlrabi, and black trumpet demi-glace. The short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender and beautifully prepared. To finish, we enjoyed the Lemon Posset with pickled blueberry compote, lavender chantilly, and English shortbread--light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. And of course, the espresso martini was a must! The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. We loved Talia Kitchen so much that even if we aren't staying at the resort or spending the day at the hot springs, we'd absolutely make the trip back just for dinner. We can't wait to return!
