Second, the instructions are specific that multiple messages only lead to delay. I called for an appointment and required a second call to get an appointment. After the evaluation I was instructed to wear compression hose for 6 weeks and then write an essay as to why the procedure would help. I complied and on February 23rd I wrote the essay and asked for further direction. No reply and I inquired again on March 3rd. There were phone calls and email exchanges ending with my accepting the times she said were available. It ended March 16th when I wrote emails and left a frantic phone message thinking that it was possible that I had an appointment March 17th at 11 AM. Michelle actually called me back March 17th at 8:50 AM and said that no procedure had been scheduled for me but the 11AM slot was available if I desired. I declined.

She is very particular about her doctors, and when she asks me to write a review, it really means something. She enjoys Dr. K's professionalism, bedside manner, skill level, and raves about his office staff (which lets be honest...without this the best doctor stinks)!! I will refer anyone I can to Dr. K, as will my wife. I have had the pleasure to meet him once, and we were laughing the whole time. A+ does not even begin to measure....if you see a different vascular surgeon you are doing yourself a huge disservice.

I had surgery with Dr. Stagnone in 2005. The results were beautiful, and I drove from Houston for…read morefollow-up appointments. However, within a week, I developed large, red, and warm welts, 2-3 inches wide. When I contacted the office, they told me they didn't know what it was--maybe a reaction to my skin stretching or breakouts. As the condition worsened, they continued to express uncertainty and advised me to see my regular doctor. At the time, I was young and unaware of what a staph infection was. Unfortunately, that's what I had, and it became a 10-year battle. The infection spread to my neck, face, back, arms, and legs. I never mentioned this in reviews, as I was focused on dealing with the issue and didn't want to add more negativity. Looking back, I regret not warning others. Staph infections are isolating--I often couldn't leave the house. Because the infection was not treated promptly, it became extremely difficult to manage. I was put on multiple antibiotics over the years and had to use special washes and make countless doctor visits. Just when it seemed under control, it would flare up again, often appearing on my breasts. Mistakes happen, but as a surgeon, recognizing infection is critical. The large welts I had post-surgery should have been treated as a possible infection, and I should have been given antibiotics right away. Now, I'm left with deep scars that I am only now beginning to address. At one point, I had finger-sized holes on my body. It was both disgusting and humiliating. As I search for a new surgeon, I realize how important it is to share experiences like this. Dr. Stagnone's work was aesthetically beautiful, but the infection cost me years of my life and much of my confidence.

I appreciate that he was available for questions but I just didn't have them. I'm not sure if the lipo I got was technically chin lipo. It was chin and neck lipo - the entire jawline is hit making it even more of a value. This means there were three incisions: both sides of the top of the jaw by the ear and one under the chin. I'm a baby and handled the local anesthesia. It felt like going to the dentist and getting lidocaine when the tumescent solution was injected. Keep in mind, I was high when this happened as I had hydrocodone and Xanax - all monitored by the doctor. I'm assuming this is the more cost effective form of sedation. In this economy, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I've had Kybella before (what a waste) at a separate medspa and I think the burning of that was way worse than the few seconds of injection pain required for local anesthesia. Once the procedure was started by Dr. Obasi, the entire procedure took less than five minutes. Again, the bulk of the time required is from waiting for your meds to kick in and then waiting again for your local anesthesia to kick in. I think general anesthesia is a bit riskier given the procedure is only five minutes... Results: Even with swelling and bruising, my jawline is now certified snatched. No more double chin. The price I paid was in line with the price I would have paid in Turkey, so it was definitely worth it.
