Demanded $85.00 to walk thru the door to check my washing machine even though all charges are covered by the warranty - even confirmed "no charge to me" by the manufacturer/warranty company. Todd told me that he is an independent contractor and that he does not have to abide by any warranty specifications and he can charge whatever he wants to charge. Todd pressured me to allow him to stop by the same evening (already after 6pm) since he was in Lancaster and did not want to drive back to fulfill appointment scheduled for 2 days later- returning to Lancaster was inconvenient to him. He became irate when I told him "no." According to his website he specializes in antenna installation. My advice is to call back the manufacturer/warranty company to get a brand certified or at least a large appliance certified repair person to handle your repairs. read more

Was sent by my home warranty company twice - first time to look at my icemaker and then again, my dishwasher. With the icemaker, I was charged the $65 for him to tell me to defrost the freezer. That didn't work. Todd was sent out this week to fix my dishwasher. He found glass, removed it, and charged $200 on top of the $65 service call. Removing the glass, however, did not fix the dishwasher leak. He admitted he didn't pull the dishwasher out past finding the glass, and that he would return. I have called him and each call resulted in him setting up a time to return to finish the job. Each time he was a no show. I called him today because he didn't show again, he hung up on me and keeps letting the call go to a voicemail that is not set up. Too bad for Todd that he encountered me as a disgruntled client. I have called Choice to let them know of his business practice, the fact he took the $200 without finishing the job, and will continue to pursue the issue until I get my money back. He is dishonest, incompetent, and has every excuse in the book about why he can't make it (my favorite excuse was that he had a HUGE job in Lancaster for an enormously big refrigeration unit.) He can't pull out a dishwasher to do a proper service call, and based on other reviews, who will trust him with anything as delicate as commercial refrigeration? My suggestion? This guy is incompetent, my home warranty company sent him to repair an only 2 year old GE dishwasher, that cost 900 dollars. He came, looked at it and said the control panel needed replaced, would cost 400 dollars for part alone plus labor. He lied, the part cost 137 from GE parts. Plus the control panel wasn't the problem. The pump is leaking and needs replaced. Now the warranty company won't send someone out because of his diagnosis and won't reimburse me for the incorrect diagnosis. Todd's Electronics is a total hack. read more

My home warranty company sent him to look at my dryer and my refrigerator. He was scheduled to be here between 11-3. I called him at 12 to confirm he was still coming. At 330pm I called him again and he said he would be arriving in 30-45 minutes. At 515pm I again called him and he said he was stuck in traffic. How odd it took him 2 hrs to get to my house when my daughter got off work at 5pm and was home in 40 minutes from the other side of the beltway. He looked at my refrigerator and said "here is your problem, it is 29 yrs old and has that much dust clogging it" He said go buy the can air and clean it and it will work again. Then he stood in my kitchen for 10 minutes talking to another customer on the phone. He went then to check my dryer and within 10 minutes was back upstairs saying, "well i have good news, your dryer cant be fixed i got you a new one" you will get $299 to buy a new one from the warranty company. He said go to home depot and you can get a new one. Well I checked the local stores and the least amount i found for a gas dryer was $399. This guy is a joke and I told my warranty company to NEVER send him to me again!!!!! The next day I had a repairman come for my oven and he overheard my heated discussion with Todd's concerning my refrigerator, after he fixed my oven he looked at the refrigerator and said the issue was with freon NOT dust. My next review and complaint will be with Choice Home Warranty. And to top his complete visit, he used my downstairs bathroom without asking, peed on the seat and did not wipe it or flush! read more

Unfortunately I can't give zero stars. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with him, not my choice as he was sent by Choice Home Warranty. He was completely incompetent and did not know what he was doing. He didn't even have tools to perform his job. He actually asked my wife to borrow her hair dryer to try to unfreeze our ice machine which wasn't even frozen to begin with. He is completely unprofessional, unprepared, and unqualified to work on appliances. Not only that, he lied and double charged me for my service fee. Now I'm a over month into a battle to get the money back that he took from me by lying and neither him nor Choice Home Warranty has been any help. Stay away from him, don't let him in your house and certainly don't trust a word that comes out of his mouth. read more

Stay away, brought zero tools to fix stove that was not heating correctly, tried to clean a little, he said we could buy a thermometer at dollar store, and tried to charge for the deductible without doing anything, he called police after we refused! I would give this guy no stars if it were an option... He is the Worst repair guy I have ever encountered. Choice Home Warranty sent him out last year for my oven that wouldn't heat. He had NO tool with him, was in dress clothes and had his girlfriend with him. After looking at the oven and was unable to locate the heating coils he stated that the oven would need a control panel and numerous other parts. CHW would not cover it and offered us $350. for our $2100. oven. I called another company and all it was was a reset button that needed to be reset. Unbelievable!!! Yesterday he came to repair my microwave. He was visibly impatient with having to repair the microwave when he realized he would have to remove the microwave from the cabinet. He tried to access the fuse without removing it from the cabinet and when I saw him doing it I stated several times "They are new cabinets please do not wrench on them and cause damage. He said he was not and continued to work on it. After he was done and left I went to put the food away in the cabinet and noticed that he not only caused damage to my new cabinet and doors but he also bent the top of the microwave. I called him to tell him of my discovery and that we wanted something done about the cabinet and he said it was "just damaged a little and it's hardly noticeable " he said that he was not going to do anything about it. I will be contacting CHW for his insurance information or I will be suing him in small claims court for the damage to the microwave and the cabinet. read more

This man is NOT a professional at all. He was not in any type of work vehicle, and had a women along just sitting in my drive way while he came inside. After looking at my appliance, trying to find an issue He then asked to use my own Vacuum to "Fix" the issue with my appliance. This is something I could have done for free MYSELF. He charged me for a "cleaning" I could have done, and I had to call someone else to fix my appliance and replace the part needed. He was there for about 15 minutes...NOT GREAT SERVICE! read more

Choice home warranty, which is also a joke and scam, sent him out about my washing machine not draining and after a run around to get him here he diagnosed a problem which he said Choice would do a buyout. He not only lied and Choice is denying the claim because he said it was from overloading. It's just my husband and I and we are an elderly couple so we know we don't overload. This guy is a complete joke. I wouldn't trust him to properly diagnose or repair a mailbox. Told me he was going to be here in two hours, I called him five hours later and he tells me he's on his way will be there in half an hour. An hour later he shows up in his personal unmarked vehicle, with his daughter in the passenger seat. Comes in, no tools, and tells me that the water pressure is lower than normal in our washer. I told him, that's not why it shows unbalanced every time it hits the spin cycle. He then starts telling me about a recall that our washer does not even fall under for the top coming off. Then says maybe it's the springs, but they aren't covered by our home warranty company and that's what he's putting on his report. He was there half an hour and never troubleshot anything, never used a tool, never even slid the washer out. He literally put it through a spin cycle just to see the unbalanced code. We explained that we paid $150 to the warranty company and he mentioned he gets $85 of that because that's what he charges per service call. This guy is a hack. I had a recall with Samsung. I called Todd from Todd's electronics to see what time he was to be here to fix the washer. I was told he was going to be here Wednesday between 6:00 Pm and 9 Pm. I had a call from him at 8:30 Pm. He said he could not make it, because he ran into problems some were else. He said he would be here the next day Thursday. He never called, or returned my calls. I had to call Samsung. They said they were having problems with him. Very, unreliable person. I would not deal with him at my own expense. read more

Did not drive him self, had a driver, no service vehicle, arrived in a small vehicle, unprofessional. Argumentative. Scheduled service for my washer through GE warranty. I received an email confirmation that someone from this company would come out Monday between 8-12. At 11:30 when I called them to confirm someone was coming out by 12:00, the guy laughed and said that ain't happening. He said he would make sure someone would be out before 5 p.m. Well, no call & no show. I rescheduled for the following Thursday. Again, no call & no show. Friday came and he said he would be there by 3. He showed up at 4:30. Two and a half hours he said he had to have parts ordered. Parts ordered and delivered on New year's eve day. He called a few days later he said he would come the next day at 1. He called late the following day and said he couldn't make it. He showed up Friday at 4 (three hours late) and said I'm here open the door. He came in, installed parts, and started a cycle. He left without waiting to see if it was fixed and called to say he left and all was good. I called an hour later to tell him it was not fixed. He said run another cycle. Nope. Still not right. Needless to say, I will go to the laundry mat before I let this guy waste any more of my time. I called warranty service and requested another service company. Avoid this guy like the plague. Such an incompetent and unprofessional person. Like the other reviews, guys shows up without anything resembling a service vehicle or any tools that would be necessary to adequately fix a job. He spent 30 minutes at my house trying to open a freezer that he was sent to diagnose. Frozen solid. Couldn't be opened. Had to thaw before he could diagnose. After a few days of thawing the freezer finally was able to be opened. I texted Todd at 10:40 AM to let him know that it was ready and to let me know when he could come out. He texted back immediately, "Ok, sounds good". At 7:40 PM I had not heard back from Todd and had a heated text exchange about his lack of responsiveness. The next day our warranty claim was closed due to a broken ice maker, which isn't even covered. This guy never even accessed the freezer but diagnosed the problem and closed our claim. We're out $60.
