Made a 'call appt' to start the process. And they never called. Must be to busy for my projects. Got multiple emails confirming date and time from them. But no call. I know stuff happens. But they could've used their auto email system to cancel. In any event, I never use a contactor (for any project) that doesn't keep their first appt or notifies before just not calling or showing up. That always spells trouble. There are too many landscapers who want business. So I'll never call them or visit their nursery ever again. I believe it was Woody Allen who once said, "Just showing up is 90 percent of life." Todd's fails. read more

Negative five stars. Where to start... My wife and I visited this location back in February/March to purchase spring/summer flowers and get a quote for a large landscaping project, along with some recommendations. We spoke with a staff member about flowers suited for full sunlight. One of the recommended flowers is still thriving in October, but the other didn't survive more than a month despite following the care instructions. for the landscaping quote, that's where the problems began. We were told by the same staff member to speak with someone else, who wrote down an "appointment" on a sticky note and supposedly entered it into the system. The appointment was scheduled for the end of May. My wife and I took the day off work for the quote, but no one showed up--nor did anyone call. A few days later, my wife called to ask what happened. A different staff member said the person responsible would call back that day or the next--but again, zero contact. Fast forward to October, and we've never heard a word from Todd's Nursery. We've since handled our landscaping project ourselves, likely at a lower cost, and honestly, after witnessing their incompetence, we're glad we did. If this is how they handle quotes, we can only imagine how poor the actual service and timing would have been. Bottom line: complete lack of customer service, consideration, and professionalism. Don't waste your time requesting quotes from Todd's Nursery--look elsewhere for companies that value their customers and actually want to do business. read more

I'm very frustrating to have driven an hour to find them closed after checking the website hours. There is no mention on the website of seasonal closure, just hours of operation that are not correct. read more

We have used Todd's Nursery & Landscaping twice. Both times they did an amazing job! We are so pleased! Very professional, friendly, helpful and wanted to make sure we were pleased! If there was ever an opportunity to feel the spirit of the Lorax...it's here. Not as big and as robust as watsons. However, I prefer this place hands down. 2 main reasons. 1st and most important. The staff is friendly. Friendlier that all the other nurseries I have been too for sure. Here, when employees pass you, they say hi and ask how you are. But they are also knowledgeable. You can tell they have a deep appreciation for all the wonderful plants there. 2nd. It's very reasonably priced. Can you go to lowes or Home Depot to get daisies and common annuals and perennials for cheap. Yes. It's true. But this place has so many options and it comes with true expert advice on how to best care for your plants. I do want to put out there that this place is a legit nursery. You will find what your looking for. I dropped in to buy some apple trees. They had the small dwarf ones that grow a max length of 7-10 feet and max width of 3 feet. ~$50 each. Other be places they would be 70+. Very very very friendly staff. Can't say enough about that. Also, they have really good compost. The kind that smells lol. Love this place. 25cents to feed the koi fish. It's worth it. So relaxing. There is a little gumball machine next the the koi pond where you can buy the food. Love this place. read more

Lovely grounds and kind staff. The location is also very convenient. Read the boards to save yourself time. There is a lot of selection.

This is a very nice nursery and they have a ton of outdoor trees and shrubs and flowers. They also have water garden foliage and plants. They no longer sell Koi but they still have the koi pond that's fun to visit. They do not have indoor plants though. They should. They have the perfect set up for indoor plants but sadly they do not have them. This is my go to nursery for anything we need for our own landscaping and they have staff to help with choices and advice, and arranging for help with delivery and planting. read more

Amazing! Whenever I need to go to a nursery, I make sure to go here. They have great plants and you can't get better service or knowledgeable people. I just walked in with a planter my students decorated for my student teacher's last day. I told them I have no idea what I'm doing but I want to get plants for the pot. Lisa and Crystal jumped on it! They kept it in my price range when picking out plants and even planted them in the pot so it was all ready to go. Still my favorite plant nursery! read more

We stopped in to Todd's today on a quest for good quality stating soil mix for the greenhouse. We didn't find it ... but what we did find is just amazing! 6 acres of beautiful and hugely varied nursery plants.... it just goes on and on and on. But the crown jewel is the Koi pond and other water features. If you're in the market for a fountain or pond, you probably owe it to yourself to at least check these guys out. I could spend an afternoon sitting by the covered Koi pond. Just beautiful. They also sell tons of outdoor stone sculptures, many with a strongly Asian appeal. Very cool statuary. I'm sure by late spring this place is really amazing, when all the annuals come it. But alas, they were out of stock on seed starting soil so we didn't end up buying anything. Dave & Anne read more

Cannot say enough about the amazing service my wife and I received from Paul at Todd's. We had a problem with our waterfall pump and he helped us from nuts to bolts. Walked us through each step of repairing the waterfall ourselves. Encouraged us when we weren't sure we had the skills to complete the project. Told us he wasn't going to give up on us and pushed us through. We were able to not only purchase the pump from Todd's specific to our needs, we actually completed the project! We are very pleased! I initially called Todd's Nursery on a Monday, not knowing they were closed. Someone answered since they happened to be there and nicely listened to my request, informing me they would definitely be able to accommodate it the next business day. When I called the following day, we spoke with Diane and she kindly assisted me. The delivery was for a passing of someone's brother, and Todd's Nursery handled this request with great care and made the process very easy. The delivery person even called upon delivery to let me know that no one had answered but he had left it right in front of the door. I would be more than happy to use this company again and I highly recommend them! read more

Bought several plants and trees from Todd's including two coral bark maples. They were very expensive, even though Costco sells them for $35. Both trees were planted in the same area, both trees fertilized, watered and treated the same. One died within 6 months and Todd's would not help at all. No offer to replace, sell another at a discount or even offer advice. We called, emailed and received no response. On a side note, we also purchased 3 blueberry plants and one came with horsetail weed. If you've ever tried to eradicate horsetail, you will understand how devastating it is. Fortunately, I was able to pull the blueberry up, rinse the horsetail away and dispose of any spores. I was extremely lucky! read more

This review is for the seasonal Christmas trees only. We have gone to Todds for many years for a great selection and honest pricing on Christmas trees. This year, they have literally doubled their pricing and the quality has gone way down. I have managed Christmas tree farms for many years in the past and can tell you that a markup like that is simply greed. The quality has declined significantly with poor pruning techniques, poor insect control and late pruning leaving white tips. For being simply a pre-cut sales lot with no other experiences for the family, the pricing was jaw dropping. We won't be returning anymore. read more

My mom recently visited Todd's, and encountered a vary rude old man (not sure of the name, perhaps Todd?). She didn't happen to have cash so when she went to purchase her plant, he vary sarcastically asked if she had cash, she advised no. His reply, "its not worth it" (assuming he is talking about his card machine, side note - there are card readers that are free, might want to get on that train before treating your customers poorly) handed the card back and told her she owed him $5. She THANKED HIM. Her friend walked up after hearing she didn't have cash, happened to have it on her and paid the guy and thanked him as well. His response, "SHES the one that should be THANKING me". Maybe he's hard of hearing, but my mom did say thank you during their initial interaction. This is not how you treat a customer, one that WOULD have been back several times. His horrible customer service has lost quite a few customers over this. read more

I have been a Todd's Nursery customer for over five years and each time I go to Todd's it is even better and better. The selection, quality and staff are far above superb. Prices are reasonable for the lush, mature product you receive. My husband and I bought a new home a few months ago and needed to start getting some trees and such. We tried a few places but ended up at Todd's Nursery and love the place. They have well cared for plants and lots of different things to choose from. They have a good assortment of maple trees and all have grounded well once planted in the yard. The service is the best, they take the time to listen to what we are looking for and we do not feel rushed at all. We went twice this past weekend to Todd's for plants (on the recommendation of a friend) and we couldn't be happier. We spoke with Crystal and she is AWESOME and so helpful. After showing her photos of where we wanted to plant, she gave us some great options and laid out what she thought would work. It was perfect and the plants are in such great shape and very good prices!! Our second trip back, we were lucky enough to get Crystal again and she "wowed" us again with her knowledge and suggestions. We had a pond put in by Todd's. Just be sure you ask about the equipment being installed so you get what you think you are paying for. We assumed we were getting new equipment, 10 months later the pump went out. We thought it would be under warranty but turned out it was used, reconditioned, over 15 years old. After a 10 year hiatus, I decided to slowly work my way into Ponds again. To make a long story short, Todds had an incredible variety, reasonable prices and everything looked healthy. The staff was awesome/helpful and courteous. For some reason Lowes/McClendons/Home Depot/ all of the Nurseries in Puyallup don't carry Pond Plants. Good! Go to Todds. read more

Paul, the owner of Todd's Nursery, is doing fabulous work up in the Trilogy portion of the new Tehaleh master planned community south of Bonney Lake. He's probably landscaped around three dozen homes by now in this area. He's very creative with plant designs, paver patios and walkways, water features, waterfalls, and fire pits. Don't expect pretty sketches and illustrations on paper, but he'll draw things out in the dirt and explain things to you. Your input is welcome. You can go to his nursery in Puyallup and pick out plants and bubble rocks in advance, if that's what you would like. He'll let you know if they're suitable for the spots you're thinking. He plans for local soil conditions and how big plants will get at their planned locations. Also, his same core crew has been with him for many years and they start a job and finish it without delay or interruption! BTW...he also does stained glass inserts for windows! read more
