I only point that all out so I can say with some authority that after visiting Speedway locations in about 8 states, this is the most incredible station I've visited. It's in a great location (if you happen to live in Plainfield, which I don't) right on the Lincoln Highway (if you happen to know about that.) The station is huge with more pumps than I could count and a full truck stop area for 18 wheelers. The store is enormous with more selection than any Speedway I've visited before. The most unique feature of this particular store is a grill. Yes, a grill. Most Speedway locations have pizza and sandwiches, along with a roller grill and so does this one, but it has a grill! Food is cooked to order, which you place on a kiosk workstation. The computer gives you a confirmation which you take to the register. Once your order is paid for, the confirmation becomes a receipt and you simply wait for your number to be called. Incidentally, this Speedway had the lowest gas price I paid in the full length of Illinois on my trip. Yup, I'm a fan!

That may seem small... Except I feel like it's kind of a vibe here! I feel like they actually mean it. There's always positive high energy through the place. You can tell these people actually like their jobs and working with each other. And remember, this is a gas station not some fancy Michelin restaurant downtown lol. I've never felt compelled to write a yelp review about a gas station and I keep telling myself that someday I'm just gonna do it and so today I decided to do it! Whatever their HR people are doing to hire employees and their trainers are doing to train them. Keep up the great work. I've never been to a gas station that makes me feel happy!

I didn't hesitant to accept an order here at night until I stepped inside. I searched for the cashier and found an older lady manning the front scoffing through the aisles as she was grabbing items for delivery orders. She didn't acknowledge me until I said I was picking up for someone. She rudely told me she's finishing it up and obviously not having the best mood so I waited patiently until I got an additional order so I told her I can pick up another order. She yelled with quite a temper and asked me if I can't see that she's clearly working on it and that I have to wait. I replied that I am in no rush. When she finished the 2nd order, she was still annoyed at what she's doing, even figuring out the stickers she has to attach to the bags irritated her more. Once done, I said "Have a nice day." and she replied with "Yeah yeah" with an attitude. As much as I like picking up orders from here, I don't think I'll do so whenever I see her working there. Yes, I am not a customer but her customer service is clearly not what you can call outstanding, not even an inch closer to satisfactory. Hopefully she's just stressed out or something.

    This is a service review. For over 2 years I've been getting the run around and lied to. I have a…read more2024 Tiguan. I was getting low oil warnings a few times. Recently it is very often. I was told numerous times it was normal for turbo engines. Come on man. I never had that with other turbo engines and my Tiguan that I had before this one. Finally they said I should do a consumption test. Did that, was told it failed. We were told that they were going to contact Volkswagen for a solution. Then said they were going to order a part that is on back order. We trusted them. Months go by and I called to ask about it. They had no idea what I was talking about. I called Volkswagen they told me to deal with the dealership. I contacted a lemon law lawyer and they told me to get paperwork. I called first and went in. The service clerk that I talked to had no idea what the clerk was talking about. Then came back and said the printer was broken. I saw in her face she was confused. I just recently lost my brother to a quick cancer and his birthday was that weekend so I got upset. I didn't throw a fit because I work in costumer service. They came in and said I didn't do the consumption test. Then they said they ordered the part I needed. Umm ok. I did the first half. My husband did the second half since I was caring for my brother in hospice. Meanwhile the lemon law lawyer joint was telling me none of the paperwork I sent them said anything about repairs. Odd. I'm afraid to drive this vehicle. It can just stop running at any time. I even texted the guy who oversees all of service of all of the Hawk group and he never responded. I researched this had happened with Tiguans since they were produced. I'm still trying to get this straightened out. Guess I'll update but I'll update but I really want to get rid of this car. Tried calling another Volkswagen dealership and they also said they couldn't help me.

    The car arrived safe and sound, which I am grateful for. The driver didn't speak a LOT of English,…read morebut he was very nice, which I am also grateful for. I feel like Montway was a bit deceptive in the quote however. The initial quote was raised because the car was "modified", but in reality it had been stretched 1.5 ft in the front. This was not an issue for the transport, as the driver had a trailer that hauled 2-3 vehicles. Montway rep said on the phone that $200-$300 would be charged to my credit card and the rest would go to the driver, and I received an email stating that $1370 would be owed to the driver on delivery. In reality, Montway charged my card $499, and sent another email stating to only pay the driver $1,100, which I did, but it felt deceptive. I am guessing that Montway got a way better deal from the driver than they anticipated, and instead of passing some of that saving on to me, or explaining, they just charged my card double what the rep said they would and kept all of the profit. Also, the rep promised tracking, which never happened - we had to call the driver a couple of times to find out the delivery time, because he hit traffic (which I understand he cannot control) and got held up by a couple of hours. All in all, it is done, but Montway didn't leave the best impression overall as a transport broker. Grateful I had a better driver than some of these other reviews...
