I don't know why this place doesn't have better reviews. I almost didn't want to go here due to the bad reviews. However they were the only place open on Sunday in my area. Therefore we decided to go. First off, this place is a big recycling place, not like those little sheds you find on a corner. They have people on forklifts come out to help assist you with your cans & bottles. Super easy to separate & they pay you top dollars! I got $162 back from my cans & bottles! Monday morning 10:45am. Not a single person ahead of me! We have guests staying over so had to clean the house. My usual mix of plastic and aluminum cans yielded $19.19. I have lunch money, more importantly the wife is happy. Tip: bring some nitrile gloves as garbage bins are dirty and sticky. This place is okay. The good thing is that they are opened 7 days a week and they open right on time. The place is located in the middle of nowhere in Folsom Blvd and easy to miss as I did. It is near where all the furniture outlets are located as even the cashier was wondering how we found out about this place and said Yelp as it was the closet near by the house. Anyways there is a sign to where to recycle, bottles and cans, so I followed it, but since it rained afterwards there was big puddles. Since being a newbie where I did not know you can go inside and park inside where the cans are which is better than following the sign. Anyways you put your cans and bottles in a trash can. The guys usually do not talk, but instead point, I guess because it is too loud I am guessing. Anyways you figure it out. They do sort out which is CRV plastic as I accidentally had some Sunny D bottles in there, but they did not get mad at me. I went here recently and It wasn't a bad experience. They have a lot of rules which makes sure that everyone applies. The only thing that I didn't like is that the employees were standing without doing much and when I asked for help they declined saying they cannot touch my bottles. Came here Friday morning and there were a handful of people there already unloading their recycled goods. Plenty of garbage bins to empty your cans, bottle. etc. Good number of workers here so makes the process smooth- everything gets weighed and counted then you get a receipt (they will ask you for your license plate number so be pepared) to take to the cashier (will need ID) to get your money. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes as there were plenty of glass shards on the floor and be careful parking in the inside lot due to scrap metal. read more

I came here because it was the only recycling place open on Sunday that I can find. The person helping me was pretty nice. I personally would take your cans somewhere else less shady though. Here's the deal they had two trashcan set up one smaller than the other. They had two scales the bigger trashcan was on another scale where you cannot see the front face they actually had a jury rigged screen guard blocking The screen so you could not see the readout. On the receipt the smaller can which was a smaller diameter but the same height as the bigger trashcan showed a readout of 10lbs whereas the larger trashcan that could hold more cans showed a readout of 6lbs. I didn't make a big deal because honestly what would be the point with arguing with people shaving Weight for a few dollars but honestly screw these guys. At the end of the day they probably got me for 20 bucks or so but the way I look at it I payed 20 bucks to know to never to go there again. read more

This place is lame. You would think with all the money they are burning is for they would spend a little on maybe patching a few of the Volkswagen-size holes in the parking lot and entrance I almost put it in 4- low in the Chevy. Instead the blacked-out Escalade on 26's with the custom plate TKO explained a lot. The fools that work there are slow and lazy and don't really seem to have grasped the concept that if you are to work in the customer service field or better put if your job involves working around other humans that you will need to interact with on a daily basis than one should exhibit some level of social skills some where above monkeys throwing $#|+ at the zoo. Recently had to recycle bottles and this was the only place open Saturday closest to my home. I had to come back again as their was no available parking and the line of people waiting to have there bottles weighed was a little too long for me. I decided to come back right before they closed and their was a smaller line and parking available. Beware that you might spend close to an hour here. But for all my time spent I did get decent money for my bottles. This was my first time doing this and just a friendly warning, wear clothing you are not afraid of getting dirty. Also, your vehicle may get dirty after this trip, mine did. I managed to leave the place with a dusty car. Obviously, these places are smelly and dirty but I gave it a lower rating due to the time spent and non existent parking. I want to add, the employees seemed nice and helpful especially to a newbie like me. read more

Their computer was having an issue while I was there and I was shorted 12+ pounds of aluminum cans (approximately $22). I called attention to there only being 3 weight entries on the receipt, instead of the 4 weights that should have been entered. No one would listen to my questioning. They pour the cans into a bin with other cans, so you cannot dispute their receipt. I will never go to this recycling place again and strongly suggest that you look elsewhere for your recycling needs. read more
