This is by far once of the worst salons I've ever been to. I never like to comment on ones appearance, but the woman that did my manicure looked like she just crawled out of a fight. Her shirt was dirty, she looked sloppy, and her hair was a mess. I was a little afraid to even get a manicure. The color I picked out was a great nude, but wasn't applying well so she added liquid to it. Well here I am 2 days later and nearly ever nail had chipped. My manicure last me a solid 10 days before any shipping happened. Here I can't even go a weekend. Disappointment is an understatement. I went in on a Tuesday night for a no-chip manicure & pedicure. Afterward, I wasn't too impressed with the job done. My pedicure was okay. The massage seemed a bit rushed. My feet still felt very rough. My manicure was decent. I asked for OPI Lincoln Park After Dark polish but they didn't have that or a black OPI color. So a different brand was used that I didn't recognize. Saturday morning, I noticed the top of my pointer finger's polish peeled back (photo from that morning). I was out of town & unable to go back to the salon right away. Within that time, my other hand's pointer peeled back as well. I noticed the polish on my other nails wasn't in great shape either. I called Tuesday to tell them I'd be in Wednesday to have them fixed. When I walked in, I explained (to who I believe is the owner) what happened. He asked when I had them done, I said last week on Tuesday. He points to my nail growth & says "Not last week. It's grown too much." I told him I'd show him my credit card statement to when I paid. He said it's fine, he'd do it anyway. Implying I wasn't being truthful. Then he goes, grabs the color, looks at my nails again, points to my growth, laughs & says "yeah.. a few days." Implying once again, I lied about when I came in. Needless to say, I won't be back. I've never had a no-chip last only 4 days & I have NEVER been treated like that at any other salon. read more

I have been a customer of this salon for the last year. My technician is Amanda and she is outstanding. She does an excellent job and she is very easy going and always makes me feel comfortable. I've been to Tokyo nails twice. The first time i went was about a year ago and my nails didn't come out horrible but, I wasn't happy with them. They were too short and stubby, and the nails were bumpy from the acrylic. They just weren't good quality. I wanted them to look nice, but they were at best decent. It was my fault, because I didn't say anything. However. When I went for a second time, my nails were much worse. The powder was so bumpy and uneven I genuinely felt like crying when I left their salon. After ONE day of work with my new set my clear coat began MELTING off on all of my nails. I took even a hot shower, and my clear coat popped off. The nails damage easily, and the shaping of them is careless. The drawn on design is even worse. I don't want to delve into it, but I paid a lot of money for less than mediocre nails. It's actually embarrassing for me to walk around with these nails on. I have an appointment already to take them off and get a brand new set. I liked this place for their employees, but it's safe to say I wont EVER be back there again. read more

Since day one they have never failed me and I am literally soooo picky when it comes to my nails. Every single nail tech there takes their time to make sure it's exactly what you want it. Dylan did my manicure. He didn't push back, cut or clean my cuticles at all. He used the spinning filing tool on my nails to file away a part of the cuticle, that was in his way . It damaged my nails so bad that it took two months to recover. My nails chiped after 4 days and the polish that was light pink turned yellowish orange color the same week as well. I'm so happy I took a chance with this nail salon. I read the reviews on Google before visiting. I was lucky to have Andy do my nails. I'm a big fan of dip powder nails/design as my nails are sensitive and break, crack, and chip easily with no- chip manicures or acrylic nails. Also particular picky about the process of application for dip powder nails. If not done correctly, it will come out looking lumpy, sandy, and/or really thick. Andy was incredibly gentle and paid close attention to detail. He took his time and did not rush. I really enjoyed getting my nails done here. What a great find!! I was in the market for a new nail salon. Not all salons provide dip manicure services. I had been looking for a week for one in the area. Andy does great work at a good price. Lots of colors to choose from! The pedicures are ok. The technicians could spend a little bit more time on the leg massage. I got the Signature pedicure this visit. This was my third visit. The first two were great. The girl today was aggressive right off and was talking about us in her language to the coworker . We were in the back row of nails and most other people were getting pedicures at this time. Asked kindly if she would please be gentle and she was worse and her talking about us was worse. I have never had such a horrible pedicure and no chip manicure in my life. I could tell immediately that they did an awful job and I knew the polish was never going to last. The next day one of my toe nails chipped off without any reason. My "no chip", if they should even call it that, manicure chipped after 4 days and peeled completely off by day 6. They should change the name to "guarantee to chip" manicure. Every single nail salon I go to, my nails last 3.5 weeks. Literally every single salon. So the fact that my nails and toes both chipped immediately attests to the poor quality polish and poor quality application. So unfortunate. The other thing to mention is that there is one nail lady who is so obnoxious. There is no other way to put it. You come into this environment to relax and it's so off putting to hear this woman complaining and whine about everything. It's as if we are doing her a favor by gracing ourselves with her royal presence. Her constant banter with customers, while may be for a select few people, was not for me. Please just be quiet and let me get my nails done in peace. I don't want to listen to you screaming at other customers from across the salon. And finally, they are soo obnoxiously pushy trying to upsell a service. I understand that they are a business and are trying to make money, but when a customer tells you no, stop asking them again and again and again. I told you no already so why are you continually trying to upsell a service after I repeatedly denied it. I should have known then that this was going to be a crock of a mani pedi and I should have left. An absolute waste of money. Never coming back here due to how quickly my nails chipped. Bummer!! Where do I start? This place is TERRIBLE. For starters as I was getting my nails done the guy continuously stopped to watch television. After 1.5 weeks of the dipped nails 5 of my nails cracked and chipped....yes 5!!! I went back and he said I had them done over 2 weeks ago and I even brought up the transaction date which proved when they were done he didn't care. My go-to for a great mani/pedi! I started coming to this salon 4 years ago when it was called Perfect Nails. The salon is very clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The new owner has really improved the pedicure services and added a lot of great new colors and nail services. They do a great no-chip and offer a large variety of colors to choose from. I feel like I was scammed , I took my daughter to get her nails done for homecoming and we paid for a gel set with gel polish which was $35.00 plus $10.00 for gel polish ( ridiculously expensive) . So when we are done we get in the car and my daughter says mom, I think they did acrylic and charged you for gel because they put an acrylic tip and they didn't cure the nail. My daughter is 14 and watches you tube videos of nails so she knows . I went back in and the guy said we didn't know what we were talking about. I left and will never go back ! read more
