We wanted this to be our new sushi place because it's not terribly far- but it just wasn't great. My cucumber salad wasn't worth the $3+ we paid for it. Generally, I've gotten some sort of mayo with it- so it's creamy. This was literally strips of cucumber over lettuce with a barely noticeable dressing. Miso soup was fine, pretty standard. Crab rangoon was mostly cream cheese, unfortunately. Fried rice- good. Sushi was OK. We felt like they were both very basic & a bit dry. No desire to return.

The waitress was very polite and friendly. The crab Rangoon was good, I thought the sushi rolls were excellent, high quality. I would definitely come back.

This place just opened so came in for lunch. Cant believe it's in Three Rivers, hope it stays. Sat at sushi bar and had the chefs choice. Fresh and fairly priced. The atmosphere is completely different than last restaurant that was here. Similar to Sakura in portage but smaller.

I am so excited that Three Rivers finally has a sushi/hibachi restaurant. This will add much needed culture and flavor to this tiny town. We ordered sushi rolls to go and were not disappointed. We got a rainbow roll, shrimp tempura, Spiderman roll, and Christmas roll. The fish was fresh tasting and the soft shell crab as well as tempura shrimp were fried to perfection. All the staff were friendly and service was prompt. The indoor decor was chic and clean. I now have an excuse to eat dinner outside of my parents' home when I visit Three Rivers.

Sexy girl deep fried roll- very good!

To get started we ordered gyoza as an appetizer My husband asked asked the waitress for her recommendations She recommended the tornado in the firecracker along with the 911 for spice. I got the special California roll along with the Michigan roll and I loved every single bite! The gyoza was also phenomenal. Our waitress was super friendly and on point at all times we spent 67$ for 4 rolls of sushi. The owner (Tony) is usually also working there and being hands on with his staff which is fantastic to see such a supportive boss. It was a busy night for them and they were always on point we waited about 20-25 minutes which isn't bad considering the amount of people there. We will being going back.

I'm glad they were open a little later than average. I was delighted to eat a smoked brisket burger. That thing must've been 6 inches high. It was a monster. My sweetie loved the fish tacos. They have an amazing wasabi, mayo sauce that goes with them. The middles split a prime rib Mac and cheese. They described it as "real American food" with a smile and a twinkle in their eye. That means it's delicious. It's actually a bacon prime rib, mac & cheese, and they don't even mention the bacon because the prime rib is so good. Very filling. I took a sample and it is probably the best tasting meat augmented mac & cheese I've ever tasted. The smokiness just does something amazing there. I like the background music. I like the barn, Midwest, rustic ambience. It was a delicious experience. I had to share about it online with some Japanese folks because of their recent enthusiasm for American "cheese violence". I asked if that magnificent burger qualifies as "meat violence".

I was Seated right away and introduced to my waitress, Taylor, immediately. Taylor deserves special accolades. She was so friendly and caring; she made my dining experience special. Thank you Taylor!! Taylor was awesome; she was friendly, always checking on me and sincerely concerned about my satisfaction. She was willing to do anything to make things right if I wasn't happy with something. First I ordered the Crab Cakes as an appetizer. Then I ordered off the specials menu; a Japanese spiced Branzino dish. The crab cakes were somewhat disappointing. Mostly filler and not much crab taste. Sometimes the taste actually resembled a tuna fish sandwich. The remoulade sauce that came with the crab cakes was really tasty. I wasn't really happy with the branzino dish. The fish was cooked pretty well, but "in my opinion" It had too much seasoning and the seasoning had an off flavor. Could just be my personal tastes. The restaurant has a lot of seating, little nooks and corners and a bar with seating. Plenty of quiet areas and areas to gather as a large group as well. Even though I didn't have great food choices today; I'm pretty sure while I'm in town this weekend, I'll go back and try some different dishes. See you all soon!!

The coconut shrimp tasted homemade and the sauce was nice and savory. It's definitely more of a fun and tropical American style roll but delicious! We also got the Kiyomi fried rice. My husband had two tuna sushi (nigiri) and thought it was decent. We can't remember the name of the role my husband got, but it had spicy tuna on top. He enjoyed it. We both could only eat about half of our rolls because they were so giant. This is the best restaurant in Syracuse I'd say and I was very pleasantly surprised. I wish I took a picture before eating most of the fried rice but I honestly wasn't expecting everything to be so good!

Such a cool spot!…read more We visited Toba on a recent Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by this cute little spot! The menu is lengthy with so many options to choose from! We were a little overwhelmed by the choices at first, but we quickly decided to try several different things to get a better idea of the flavors and what we might like best! We started with a house salad, which was so delicious! Fresh, yummy ingredients with a truly delightful ginger dressing! Hugh flavor! Next we ordered the Gyoza - this dish was AMAZING! The dumplings were perfectly cooked and served with a delicious traditional dipping sauce. Also included was a garnish slaw with a spicy mayo dressing - this complimented the dish SO well. This dish was honestly our favorite part of our entire visit and we highly recommend!! Of course we had to try a sushi burrito which is possibly their most unique offering! I've never heard of sushi in a burrito form before Toba, what a great idea!! It's basically a giant, handheld, wrapped up piece of sushi! We chose the Toba Burrito with steamed shrimp, shrimp tempura, spicy crab salad, avocado, tempura flakes, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. This was a delicious combination! Because it's in a burrito the ingredients are thicker compared to sushi, and you can taste each addition better, but my husband and I both agreed that while this was a very fun item to try, we prefer the regular sushi rolls to the burrito. Smaller bites of each combo of flavors is our preference. :) We also got a K-zoo sushi roll which was delicious but not as chilled as I expected it to be. These pieces were large, (bigger than a one bite piece of sushi) but packed with quality, fresh ingredients with really great flavors!! My husband and I both ordered a cup of tea, both were delicious and perfect for a cloudy, rainy day!! There are several options to choose from, we asked our waiter for further explanation and recommendations. :) There are so many more options to try at Toba - we will definitely be back to try more things, the ramen for one! :) The service at Toba was excellent! Our server was very attentive and helpful! Our order arrived very quickly and in perfect stages since we tried so many different things! The atmosphere is modern and seating is consolidated to a fairly small area. We were seated in the cutest front booth, right in the window. Best seat in the house, I'd say!
