Ya know what? I don't do buffets very often at all, because I don't really eat a whole lot and steer clear of carbs, but it was the 4th of July, our power had been down for 2 days, and I wasn't able to cook anything for the 4th of July for the first time in my life, so mom wanted to go out to eat They were super busy, which most people see a busy restaurant, they tend to steer clear, but at buffets, the busier the restaurant, the better and fresher the food because they're constantly changing it out and making new food. It was a typical Chinese buffet, but they had frog legs and crawdads, and a few other off Chinese types of fare. They even had sushi, which absolutely wasn't the best, but it did the trick. After my second plate of food, I noticed they had a Mongolian barbecue! I was SO bummed that I didn't see it right when I walked in, because I would have started with that! I didn't take any pictures of my food, but it was all pretty good. I tried probably 70% of what they were offering. Our server and what Im assuming, owners or family thereof, were sort of different, maybe just busy and in a rush, but didn't seem the most cheery, but then again it's also probably a culture thing. Our server did check on us often though. The guy and woman at the counter where you pay were pretty stern and lacking of personality. Typical Chinese decorum, but they also have handwritten notes on the doors and the counters which was kind of weird. Despite how busy it was, it was still easy to talk and understand, I wasn't overly loud. Solid 4 stars. My mom lives up the road, sonthe next time I'm in town, we'll probably hit this place again! Pretty solid buffet in my opinion. Definitely some options are better than others but that's the beauty of taking a little bit of everything and getting a second plate of what you like. My favorite was the cooked to order hibachi, loaded mine up with lots of steak and chicken and it was delicious. I also loved the chicken skewers. So my favorite thing to do is drive around the area and try different Chinese buffets. Today I drove an hour to King dragon buffet. I left full, but I will not be coming back. The hibachi was good. Sushi was not real sushi, imitation crab with rice and cucumbers for the most part. But the thing that really disgusted me was when I got my fruit and dessert at the end of the meal, I found maggots in my peaches. That was enough for me to get up and leave right then and there. I have enjoyed eating here with my family. There's plenty of stuff for everyone to choose from, and much of it is actually pretty good. The ambiance is pleasant and laid-back. Has always been clean as far as I could tell. Fresh food, too. Not enough veggies on offer, though! A lot of standard Americanized Chinese food, mostly--nothing too special. Interesting that they have frog legs, though. The chicken on a stick is my favorite, along with that crazy-addicting coconut shrimp stuff, whatever it is. Love that stuff. The sushi is not amazing but is okay--it scratches the itch. My husband likes getting the Mongolian barbecue--don't forget that it's back there by the sushi. Surprisingly good selection for how small it is. Some people don't seem to notice the grill because it's not always actively being used. The work staff always seem so harried and overworked that I feel sorry for them, but they've always been nice. I stopped in Sturgis, MI as kind of a joke because I'm pretty sure there's not much going on in Sturgis. I was surprised there's actually somewhat of a nice community in Sturgis and King Dragon Buffet stood out on the main road so I wanted to give it a try. King Dragon Buffet is a beautiful everything-asian kind of buffet. This concept wouldn't work as well elsewhere but it works splendidly here. Here's what to expect: 1. Typical Chinese buffet. Except a little better because there are a high number of dishes. 2. Sushi, hey it's an option. (Didn't try...too far from home to get sick) 3. Mongolian BBQ. It's quite wonderful. 4. Other dish options, I guess best categorized as "white people food". Wait staff is super nice as well, no issues with refills or anything. And SUPER cheap. It seems fairly popular. There aren't a lot of vegetarian options and the ones that are there aren't very good. The meats don't feel that fresh: somehow the meat felt overcooked, but I would still get salmonella. Not the worst Chinese buffet but certainly not the best. read more

Our first time there and on a Friday night and will definitely go back. Didn't get a thing that I thought could be better elsewhere and we go to Angola and Coldwater for Chinese. Stopped by here for lunch and had a wonderful surprise. Food on the buffet is exceptionally fresh. They kept everything filled and it was never dry or left out too long. Loved the chicken on the stick, so tender and the pepper shrimp. Wish we lived closer we would be here every week. We live really far away from this restaurant In Hollywood California. We pass through here every year on the way to visit family in Michigan. They are open seven days a week thank goodness because we never miss a stop at this really good buffet. Prices more than fair. They have Chinese Japanese and American, Mongolian barbecue and sushi. All very fresh. Plenty of parking even for RVs. There's something for everyone here. read more

This used to be much better, food does not live up to what it was a few years ago. Tonight a lot of the food was cold, the beef and green peppers was cooked until the beef looked like rawhide and had no taste, the sweet and sour square poured like water. We ended up here with a bunch of family around Christmas (I think it was one of the only things open that day). Considering it's a Chinese buffet in Sturgis, it's pretty good. They have a surprisingly large selection, including hibachi and sushi with the quality at or above where you'd suspect. Obviously nowhere near gourmet, but everything I tried was good. Plus the place was clean and the staff did a great job keeping drinks filled for our family (all 22 of us!). I can't say this would be my first choice all the time, but I wouldn't mind filling my belly with Americanized Chinese food here every now and then. I couldn't tell the difference between the Mongolian pork and the broccoli beef. Chewy pieces of glop with no flavor.
