Wonderful selection that varies from baked and fried chicken to fried fish, chicken livers, etc. all food is made fresh and prepared with love. I'm eating this great place based on a buffet restaurant experience, hence the 5 stars. I and a friend came in today (June 8, 2025) around noon, and walking in we had a good feeling about the place. Every single one of the staff welcomed us in with big smiles and pleasant greetings. I'm not talking about false greetings, I mean that we felt like we just walked into a families house for Thanksgiving! First of all the place is spanking clean from the outside front entrance to the buffet to the tables. They have a big sign inside the front foyer to announce the daily specials. When you come into the main buffet counter, you will find a very well lit buffet with all the dishes laid out immaculately, I mean clean and not your normal buffet. It looks like these folks take pride in how their food looks and it shows. Depending on the day you get different specials, today it was baked chicken, fried chicken, wings or meatloaf as the meat service. So many choices of sides so take your time and choose wisely, or just keep coming back! Today I had the meatloaf with several sides. For my sides I had the dressing, squash casserole and fried okra. Lookee here, that meatloaf was slathered up with ketchup on top, that casserole was moist and with a little crust on it, the dressing made me want some turkey and deviled egged to go with it (gotta remember to come back around Thanksgiving!). The okra was lightly fried and just about as perfect as you want; I'm guessing they either get their okra local or know where to buy it cuz it's FRESH! You get your choice (at least today) of cornbread or roll, so I chose the roll for today, great choice with the meatloaf. I topped it off with the sweet tea and at least they also know how to make good old southern sweet tea for a muggy Georgia day! I got all that (with tip) for less than I pay at other buffets around town, and better food here! Parking is not huge but it is ample for their needs. Location is perfect literally on Hwy 41. I have zero complaints about this place and I'll return just because of the wonderful folks that run this joint. I'm going to highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good buffet in a great atmosphere with some good folk. Y'all come try it out! read more

We made a quick trip to Adairsville, GA and always try to find a local spot when we're away from home. Today we found Tom & Hattie's Restaurant, and it did not disappoint! It's cafeteria-style - you grab a tray and choose from the listed options when you walk in. We chose the fried catfish, which is made to order, so it comes out as fresh as possible. The ladies fill your plate as you go through the line, and once you're finished, a gentleman is waiting to take your drink order. The whole process is smooth and welcoming. The catfish was AMAZING - perfectly fresh and full of flavor! What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere. While we were eating, we could hear the staff talking and laughing with each other. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and eager to help one another. That positive energy made the experience even better. And whatever you do... get the peach cobbler. It is absolutely worth it! 10/10 recommend - we will definitely be back! read more

Went here with my family twice. The first time I went, we received excellent service. Price was a little under $15 per person, food was fresh and the hospitality was on point. The second time I went, The atmosphere was kind of dull, servers just looked and stood with the to go plates and asked us what would we like, the portions was smaller, the food wasn't as tasty as it was the first time, and my total was a little over $13. Not sure why the price was different considering they never looked inside the plate, and I got the same thing as I did the last time. Just on a whim, we stopped here for dinner while passing through town. The restaurant is fairly nondescript from the outside. Once inside, you choose your food cafeteria style, along with drinks and desserts. Last night, there was fried chicken, baked chicken, chicken and rice casserole along with your choice of veggies (cabbage, pintos, creamed corn, mac & cheese). I had the fried chicken with cabbage and mac plus the peach cobbler. Everything was delicious, fresh and well seasoned! Will definitely stop here again when my travels allow. Are you HUNGRY?...This is the place you want to be. Fresh, well-seasoned soul food, served in generous prtions, by a staff of friendly, caring people. My wife and i had dinner last Thursday. She chose freshly prepared chicken livers(her portion would have been enough for both of us), I had beef tips and gravy over rice. Both of us picked Mac and cheese, and green beans. Again, double scoops of both side items on each plate. We also had a roll, and the awesome peach cobbler. with drink, or two tickets totalled just under $45, for a LOT of food. Everything about the meal brought back memories of some of the best meals of my childhood. I don'e believe anything came out of a freezer or can. The mac & cheese was baked, with a beautiful 'crust' on top. The Green Beans were like those my mom used to do in a pressure cooker long ago. I only wish there was a sampler plate, with a tiny portion of everything on the steam table. Making a decision is VERY hard when everything looks this wonderful. We kept seeing their videos on Facebook and had to give it a try. All the workers gave genuine greetings and smiles and you could tell they loved working there. Just like in the videos the food looks amazing. We had fried chicken, mac and cheese, pintos with cornbread and baked spaghetti with mashed potatoes and gravy and a roll. We had one peach cobbler to share. The serving size is large and we had leftovers to take home. Everything was delicious, they didn't just open a can and there you go, you can tell they season and prepare each item and that sets them apart from so many other places.
