After walking around Spring Lake Beach, Lake Como, and gazing at nice homes, we built enough of an appetite for lunch at Tom Bailey's. This was the standard deli experience I'd expect. Plenty of sandwiches on the menu, drinks, chips, cold cuts, ready to make pasta.... what more is there to ask. And a limited frills experience too. We ordered the Princetonian & Casey between the two of us. Also got a bag of mango habanero chips & freshly squeezed orange juice. When you pay, you get a pager to let you know when your food is ready. Because it's the summer, expect a little wait, but not terribly long. There's plenty of seating outside if you don't want to sit indoors. There's just a couple of tables near the front door. I'm not the biggest fan of wraps (my girl is), but the Casey was pretty good. The breaded eggplant makes it good. It does come apart pretty easily so be slightly warned. The Princetonian was pretty good. Just keep in mind it's not a hot sub, but the veggies are all fresh. The mushrooms were super good. At $11 for the wrap & sandwich each, that's not a bad deal. read more

What a great deli with such a great assortment of stuff. The fresh guacamole is so good. One morning we came and had fresh pull pork egg and cheese sandwich's so so good. The fresh donuts on Saturday and Sunday are good as well. I had a cinnamon one. Good food good drinks! read more

Absolutely disgusting. Food was atrocious and the owner rented a grill for our party that did not work. 3 hours before the event only half the grill worked and we spent hours trying to rectify the situation. We made due with the grill we had and then upon picking up the grill, they dumped all the grease and bbq remnants down our brand new driveway. However, they are served on hoagies that were not very fresh. A fresher and more updated variety of breads would improve the sandwiches. Second, we were browsing the cold cases. I've been a fan for years. I remained loyal and actually purchased more while in the thick of the pandemic. Now they are charging the customers their credit card merchant fee. That is the cost of doing business and the customers shouldn't have to absorb that fee. Most people have endured financial hardship during this time so this should not be an excuse. What a lovely group of people! My son is living in Spring Lake. I wanted to send him a gift to celebrate a recent promotion (I'm in California). He'd once mentioned how much he and his wife love their local deli. Internet sleuthing suggested Tom Bailey's, so I emailed the market to ask, "Do you know my son?" w/ a description of him. Kind of a bizarre question to ask a market, but I got same day responses from both Danielle, the manager, and Chris, the owner: "Yes! We love your son and his wife! Of course we'll help you!" Danielle put together a custom basket, suggesting a few of his TB favorites. She even found a way to get it delivered, although I don't think that's a normal service offered there. My grandparents and parents have lived in Spring Lake for many years. I have never had such poor customer service time after time. I ordered a sandwich today for pick up and the person on the phone then hung up on me. I went to pick up the sandwich and after waiting for fifteen minutes I finally asked if they were even making it. They were not and didn't even apologize or offer to make the sandwich quickly. Butcher shop is why I come here. The butcher must have gotten some coaching, he now makes eye contact and is quite pleasant. My hunch is that he's just shy. Aged beef, trimmed to perfection, fresh Italian sausage not too salty, best fresh ground beef in the area. Not too lean. This is an excellent place to get a bite in Spring Lake when you're starting your day. The breakfast paninis are huge. What I did was go in, tell the counterman what my dietary restrictions were, and then let him go to town. He did, and I couldn't finish it. One warning: there are no free refills on coffee. Help, I need a 12 step program to get over Tom Baileys tuna fish. Folks, it's that good. My husband and I ride our bikes over to Tom Baileys every Saturday morning in the summer to get tuna sandwiches for the beach. Now our kids are hooked on their tuna salad and we need to have a stock pile on hand when they come down to visit. All of their sandwiches are delicious, as well as their prepared foods . There really is NO better place to cater an office lunch or home party. I have used Tom Bailey's for several events and the food is consistent and delicious. The orzo salad is amazing, my favorite, and the hot dishes are so good. My guests always ask where to get more. Such a nice, classy, family owned place. Even better that they deliver. A real winner. Stopped at Tom Bailey's Market to grab lunch last weekend while walking through downtown Spring Lake. Ordered an Italian sandwich and it was ready within a couple of minutes even with a large summer crowd. The sandwich was plentiful and tasty. They also have a nice outside seating area, however many of the seats were covered with bird droppings and hadn't been clean. Overall, food was great but, they should have someone clean off all the tables and chairs in the morning so the customers have somewhere to sit. read more

Five stars for their meats, especially their pork chops. The meats here are really good. Live right around the corner from here and we get chicken breast, pork chops, and meatballs from here. The prices are a a little high per pound (except for their pork chops because they are worth it) but it's the convenience that counts. Their pork I believe is brined but it is fantastic. Marinate in soy sauce, a little salt and pepper, grill, and enjoy. Easily the best pork chops I have ever had. They have meatballs stuffed with mozzarella (you have to ask for those to be made now, can not buy them if you just go in). Never had any deli sandwiches from there. read more
