All hands on deck in this market deli. Fantastic staff ready to help. We got some sandwiches one BLT on a hoogie and I did the black karvin? They were both so good. Classic nyc style deli sandwich is so appreciated. Cute market place otherwise, reminds me of home and has everything you need

Delicious sandwich packed to the brim with meat and cheese. Quick service. Cute town to walk around in. Highly recommend this place!

Smoothies are pretty good, probably the best in town. There is a restaurant that also offers a smoothie and it is like drinking thick water, don't go there for smoothies. Go here for smoothies.

Nice market with lots of potential. Store made hot items and a nice variety of items. Couple of things that need to be addressed to improve. First - nice selection of sandwiches. However, they are served on hoagies that were not very fresh. A fresher and more updated variety of breads would improve the sandwiches. Second, we were browsing the cold cases. There were some eggplant packaged dishes that had mold. I informed the cashier and she immediately addressed it and removed the items.

We absolutely love this place. Great prepared foods, amazing steak cuts & pork chop cuts. Service…read moreis wonderful & since they've remodeled the inside is great. Lots of Italian grocery selections inside toi (pasta, coffee, biscotti, as well as great cheese, soppressata, etc). This last time hubby picked up a bone in rib eye & dill potato salad. Wonderful cut (& he cooked it perfectly too) & tge potato salad was creamy and delicious. Highly recommend! It's small inside & busy in the summer months but sooooo worth it!

I live year-round in Ortley Beach and have been going to Lasolas for years. It wasn't as crowded as I expected for a 4th of July. I go to the meat counter and "gentleman" asks me if he could help me. I tell him that I want to get a skirt steak a little more than a pound and few filets. He takes out a skirt steak and weighs it and, after I ask him the weight, he says 1.76 lbs. I said I would like something smaller and pointed to a smaller steak in the case. He stands there and stares at me annoyingly like "are you kidding me?" and proceeds to tell me "I don't want to handle all of the steaks in the case". Then asks me "do you want this steak or not" holding up the large steak. I had just told him before that I wanted a smaller one so I tell, quite loudly, "I don't want anything from this store now or ever again" and walked out. But not before saying, again loudly, "I sure do miss Lasolas!". I guess that at Mid-shore Meats, the customer does NOT come first.

When hubby asked for a pastrami sandwich, we knew just the place. It has to be Berg's. We ordered…read morethe classic Montreal pastrami sandwich, which was as delicious as the one we had in Montreal, Canada. For sides, I ordered their Classic Poutine, but hubby truly was curious about their Meat Poutine. Can't say "No" to him, so we ordered both and skipped the Reuben. The Classic Montreal Pastrami sandwich was very generously stacked with tender and lean meat, so I was glad I forgoed the Ruben. It fed us very well, as we did have two poutines with our order. The meat poutine was delicious, but too reminiscent of our sandwich. The standout for me, between the two poutines, was their Classic Poutine. Picture this: Every forkful delivers hand-cut fries, gooey cheese curd, and savory gravy all together in one glorious mouthwatering experience. Pair this with beer, and you are in Nirvana. We no longer have to cross the border to go to our wonderful neighbor, Montreal, Canada, for delicious sandwiches and poutine. Finding street parking was relatively easy. If you want to eat your food right away, they have counter seating.

I loved the classic smoked meat sandwich but the pastrami cheesesteak with onions and Cooper sharp was surprisingly good too. What sold me on going here was this: "We take a beef brisket, dry cure it with 12 different spices for 21 days, smoked over oak wood for 8 hours, steamed for 3 hours, & finally hand slice to order." Smoked meat and poutine is a big deal in Montreal and rare to find in the US and that alone makes Bakes extra special in my book.

We were disappointed we did not get center cut fillet mignons. If you purchase fillets at Drew's ask to make sure they are center cut or they won't be worth the $67 price point. Nice place and seemed like people but 1 star for not giving us center cut. Drew's was not trustworthy in looking out for the consumer experience. These were for a birthday dinner so very disappointing. Have you ever wondered why a steak can sometimes be cut with a fork, requiring almost no effort to enjoy, while others demand a bit of a workout for your jaw? The secret often lies in a specific section of the beef tenderloin known as the center cut. When you sit down at a high-end steakhouse or prepare a luxury meal at home, the term "filet mignon" is frequently used, but the "center cut" is the true gold standard within that category. It is the portion of the meat that professional chefs prize above all others for its symmetry, its lean profile, and its legendary, buttery texture. Anything pieced together with a string is not center cut.

We all ordered the Rodizio and were very happy we did. The hot and cold buffet offered a large selection of salads, vegetables and proteins (including meats!) as well as sides for the main course. We knew enough not to fill up with the carbs to save room for the meats. We would have been happy with just the buffet! The Rodizio came out hot, fast and nonstop. They come out first with chicken and pork, wait for the good stuff! The Pincanha was my favorite, along with the filet mingon and other steaks. The short ribs were chewy (maybe just a bad cut) and the lamb was gamey according to a guest - otherwise excellent. Try the grilled pineapple - very good. We had 3 large bottles of wine turned into sangria to 'die for'. Highly recommended. One thing I did not like was the bill included an automatic 20% tip (fine that's what I usually tip) but added another line for a tip. Maybe it's what they all do now but I believe 20% is generous. How many people didn't realize and tipped 40% by accident! Also strangely, they don't have voicemail, so if you call on a Tuesday (when they are closed) no machine picks up so you think they are out of business. That's a simple fix. I highly recommend Flames Brazilian Steakhouse and although it sounds expensive, it's no more than what you would pay at any other good restaurant. Well done.
