Stopped in for happy hour and sat at the bar. The place was mostly empty and the bartender was very attentive. We each ordered the Belmar Beach Vacation since it described my week perfectly. It was very good but a little light on the alcohol. We shared the Churassco Platter and it came with a huge basket of French fries and a side of the little cheesy muffin things. Everything was tasty and well seasoned but a bit salty. It came with picanha, garlic chicken and sausage. The board was more than two of us could eat so we brought the rest home. I took a look at the salad bar and it was pretty extensive with hot items in a separate area. It was pretty pricey to get the salad bar by itself By the time we had finished the place had filled up and with the delicious food I can see why.

The people were very nice and attending. The food came out quickly and dessert was delicious. 10/10

This was pretty good, we did the buffet and they had plenty of options of seafood, salads, fruit and vegetables etc and like appetizer food but then the meat started to come out nonstop. Everything from chicken, pork, sirloin and filet mignon, sausages etc it was great and filling. Drinks and dessert were good too. It's pricy so definitely get your moneys worth

This should be called flames rodízio, because it's the only option you have for food. Regular prices for a rodízio restaurant. Meats were good and drinks were pretty good also. One big turn off was the factor that the waitresses didn't realize that other people can also speak the language Portuguese/Spanish so if you talking shit about patrons other people can understand and that is bad....

    Is the restaurant BYOB?

No full service bar, very well stocked choices

$35 per person?? That's a lot. And that price is the soft opening "special" price? C'mon now

Actually it was $39. But worth every penny and BYOB! Stay hungry my friend.

I'm in a mood so I'm gonna go on one today…read more The Grand Tavern is hands down the best restaurant in the area. My husband and I have been going here for years. We don't come as often as we used to because yes it is pricey but I would much rather come here and have a special night with incredible service, food, and drinks than still spend over $100 at another restaurant and get average food. The Grand Tavern is unpretentious, welcoming, entrees offer sizable portions. I have NEVER left hungry. Main complaints I see are price - again, yes it's expensive but it's worth it. Also you can see the menu before you go, how do you not know what you're walking into?? Complaints about the burger. First of all the menu changes seasonally. There's no way their patty is frozen. Everything is FRESH AF. And yeah, American cheese is king on a burger. Again, it's on the menu what did you expect? This is a restaurant that has literally never disappointed. I will always save my pennies for a great night out here. Everyone's entitled to their opinion obviously but entitlement is a hell of a drug. Check out the menu and have a great night.

The other 5 in my group enjoyed their drinks. Our server took our orders verbally, and all apps and mains came out without a hitch. No menus handed (they ask you to look at their website to choose!) and the menu is small, with specials limited to cocktails. It is dark and quite noisy (they did dial back the loudness after we asked) so keep that in mind.)

I didn't have an issue getting a reservation as it is winter and it is in a shore town. I arrived early, probably about 4:45 . At first, I was a little taken her back because I stood there waiting while the young lady was on the phone so I was standing in there a while, but once she was done, she led me to a table and from there everything was incredible. Let's start off with the fact that it is so tastefully decorated for the holiday season. I absolutely loved it. It was very clean very classic. Now onto the drinks. The wine menu was amazing. I settled on a glass of Pinot Grigio and then after dinner I tried one of their pistachio martinis, which was absolute heaven in a martini glass. I actually even ordered a second one because I don't know when I will ever get back down here I loved the bread service. It came with not just classic olive oil, but there was whipped ricotta cheese, and there was also some capers and olives, which were absolutely delicious. I started with the house salad. The presentation and the taste were absolutely amazing. I then had the halibut which was out of this world it was cooked perfectly . The flavor was amazing and then for dessert I had their special mini Zeppoli's half filled with Nutella and half filled with cannoli cream. I don't usually eat like this, but I figured I would treat myself for once and I enjoyed every moment of it and I cannot wait for the time when I can go back here

My short rib ragu was actually delicious. Unfortunately, my wife saved me half her chicken dish and the piece I ate turned out to still be raw. I stopped eating once I noticed, but the damage was already done. Also, quick PSA on the dirty martini: it's shaken with blue cheese and comes out looking more like blue cheese dressing than a martini. Definitely not for everyone, so just know what you're signing up for.

The restaurant was located in a multi-floor home on Wesley Lake, just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Cookman Avenue. The first floor was more of a bar and lounge, and they had a live jazz band on the evening we visited. We checked in with the hostess and were escorted up to the second floor dining room, which was a charming spot that was breezy and comfortable, yet refined. The floor also had its own bar. Our server was on top of things, but was also clearly newer to the place. Regardless, once we got settled, she took our drink orders, which had taken us some time to decide on since the menu was creative and vast. I went with A Sidecar Named Desire, which included Courvoisier VSOP, Cointreau, Chinola passionfruit liqueur, and fresh lemon juice. I adore passion fruit and had always liked sidecars as well, so I figured it was worth a try, and I loved it! It had a good balance of tart sweetness and smokiness. My friend similarly enjoyed her spicy margarita, and we both imbibed while picking on some bread and herb butter. For our meal, we decided to start by sharing the Greek Salad, which was a massive bowl of romaine topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, red onions, and Kalamata olives. We left off the feta cheese, but enjoyed the seasoned dressing made of red wine vinegar, honey, salt, oregano, and olive oil. It was a fresh and flavorful mix of vegetables that was a pleasure to eat. The entree options were endless and offered something for everyone. I wound up going with the Chilean Sea Bass, which was served over sweet onions and potatoes in a tomato herb reduction. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. It was a light and tasty dish that seemed perfect for the Spring season. After our meals we were a bit too full for dessert, but we decided to get a second round of drinks, mainly because I was dying to try their Pistachio Espresso-Tini. Wow, was that drink delicious! It blended Ketel One Vodka, Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, natural pistachio flavor, and fresh espresso. The coffee notes were not super prevalent, but the creaminess, nuttiness was the real highlight. It was a decadent way to end a delicious meal. After we settled the bill and headed downstairs, I noticed several bowls of after-dinner mints, which were a nice touch. From the relaxed atmosphere to the interesting and expansive menu, Moonstruck was a terrific option for our Asbury dinner experience.
