After completing some of the repairs, he called me and said "I don't think you should spend the money on the rest of these other repairs because it's not going to make it run any better and its safe to drive without replacing the struts." He basically gave away about $850 worth of additional repairs because he knew we were tight on money and this was something that could be repaired in 6 months or so, if we wanted. Not only was the dispatcher rude, but she was unable to tell me if they actually had our vehicle or where it was located. She sent my call to the tow yard and my voicemail was never returned, nor our car's possession confirmed, by Somerset Hills. We drove there after the accident and saw the vehicle for ourselves but there was no one in the office. I proceeded to call and leave 9, yes NINE, voicemails with them (after going through a variety of dispatchers, all but one of whom were very rude and unhelpful), only one of which was ever returned. They held our car for far longer than was necessary, requiring my insurance to issue an extension on the coverage of how long they cover the "holding fees" by a non-approved tow yard - purely because neither I or the insurance could get anyone to speak to us to grant permission to release the vehicle and then to coordinate releasing the vehicle to another company. The only call I received back was about having to fill out paperwork and once I sent it back, along with a clarifying question, again no response and again more unanswered voicemails. Ultimately, my husband had to drive 40 minutes to their location to speak to someone, in order to get our vehicle released. In the ten minutes he was in the office, the phone range 5 times and not a single call was answered while the employees stood around talking to each other. I cannot NOT recommend this company enough and am very thankful for my insurance for pulling the final strings so that we could get our vehicle out of their possession.

When I went to pick it up the first day, an employee told me I couldn't get it because it was after 4pm, which I understood. As I was leaving, I took a photo of my car from a distance, and the employee started yelling at me and threatening to assault me. I left to avoid any escalation. When I came back the next day to pick up my car, I found a fresh scratch on it that was not there before. I strongly believe it was done intentionally by the same employee as retaliation for what happened the day before. On top of that, the police release specifically stated the car was to be released by tow only, yet the company allowed me to drive it off the lot themselves, directly violating the police's instructions. I will be filing a formal complaint with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs regarding both the property damage and the employee's threatening behavior.

I was charged $392 to retrieve it! This is insanely predatory pricing. I was told that it was so high based on the distance, although I was in their office with a line of people who were all towed from about the same spot and our price was significantly higher than everyone else's so that doesn't seem to be true. We were all charged an "after hours" fee for picking our cars up on a Sunday afternoon when they are apparently normally closed, nevermind that they had just spent the afternoon towing all of our cars just a few hours before and were waiting at the shop for us to come get them! When I arrived I asked the one person waiting to meet people out front how long it would take to get my car back as I had several people with me who needed to be at the airport shortly and I needed to figure out that timing for them. He immediately got angry with me for asking questions and I'm fairly certain had them up my rate in the office because of it. They were immediately being rude and difficult with anyone who was even remotely unhappy to have to deal with this, whether they were being rude about it or not, and kept insisting they were just trying to help us! You would think people who spend their time stealing cars off the side of the road and extorting people for insane profits to get them back would be used to people being in a bad mood around them but apparently this isn't the case. To make matters worse, they handed out bottles of water while we were waiting (honestly, an appreciated kindness given the heat) and then proceeded to joke with us that we should frame the bottles as they were about to be the most expensive bottles of water we ever bought! Meanwhile there were people in line on their phones with loved ones trying to scrape together the cash to get their car back and somehow this was funny enough to them to joke about. I would never recommend this company for any towing because, as others have already noted on other review sites, their prices are ridiculous and on top of that their pricing, behavior, and attitude with people dealing with a stressful situation were predatory and cruel.
