My (6 year old) granddaughter had never experienced miniature golf, and after researching a few places that 'used to be' a place to go, it boiled down to Tom Thumb or another newer spot that was simply too much money. Tom Thumb has been around for years and they keep their place in great shape and the prices fair. I think they are playing the same 8 track I heard back in the 70s too! read more

My family has had a place on Owasco for 24 years now and we've always loved Tom Thumb's. The owner and his family are amazing and really know how to run a business. The ice cream options are amazing, the inside has such a homey feel full of photos of customers and history, and the mini-golf course is a fun addition for the kids! I've always l loved getting ice cream here, and I really enjoyed the mini golfing, but the employee working one morning was rude. There was no one at the window, and I said hi several times to the girl working there. She made eye contact but then did not come over to my father and I. She was not very kind while she gave us golf clubs and was on her cell phone when I went back inside for water. This is a fine ice cream shoppe. I asked for a cherry dip cone and they asked me if I was ok with it in a dish. It obviously isn't the same thing but I said ok. Then when my mom got her chocolate dip they said sorry it fell so we had to use a dish. Idk if they can dip there so good luck. The custard seemed good and there is mini golf there. It seems like a fun place in Auburn if you're looking for something to do at night. The line for icecream was long and they move pretty slow there. I would expect more than one or two people to be working but that wasn't the case. It was fine though, were not from here so maybe we just have different versions of these types of things in Buffalo. read more

The views are beautiful, the ice cream was delicious, staff were friendly and courteous, the place was clean, the only negative is it was probably the smallest scoop of ice cream I've ever had in my life and not worth the money I paid for it. When to Scoops in Skaneateles yesterday and for about the same amount of money I got a single scoop ice cream and it was at least three times the size of what they give you at Tom Thumb. All things being equal much better bang for your buck at Scoops versus Tom Thumb which is a Pity because the view at Tom Thumb is far superior. read more

So, you guys have been advertising this ALL summer and I come for a holiday weekend, Labor Day, and you don't have any? You don't post that there is NOTHING else dairy free? So we come to TT which is out of the way for most people, an intentional trip, and leave without anything. Heads up for people who need something dairy free, TT is inconsistent and has been for all the years I've been coming. I was hopeful with all the advertising you have been doing about the dole whips that this summer would be different. Guess not. ‍ Generally, TT has a gorgeous view and is a nice place to hang out but if you can't stomach anything there and it's inconsistent it sort of leaves you disappointed. Go for mini golf. Haven't had any bad experiences w that yet. read more

I have been getting ice cream at this restaurant for over 30 years. The owner and his family are very friendly and very helpful. The Mini golf that was added a few years ago is not only fun and challenging but has the best view in the county. Ice cream portions are good for the price and the food is always hot If you happen to be anywhere with in driving distance and it is between April and October stop in for anything from a Hoffman hot dog to a shaved steak sandwich with peppers and onions and finish it off with your choice of almost 50 flavors of ice cream. Have been here probably five times a year the past maybe ten years, so i've been here often. The food is really good for your regular roadside fast food kind of place. It's very old school and has TONS of ice cream flavors and options. The view outside is amazing and their are many seating options. The owner is very personable and you can often see him talking to the regulars. My grandma used to come here every weekend for lunch. Would definitely reccomend and love it there. granted, i only had a tasty vanilla milkshake on my visit, so i can't vouch much for the other food, but this place is awesome. it's kind of an old-school, roadside fast food place (ice cream, burgers, sandwiches, fried seafood, ect...). the best part is the outdoor seating, which has picnic tables and benches that sit on a bluff overlooking owasco lake. it's a gorgeous view and i found it to be a perfect spot to relax and kill time. a short drive from auburn and skaneateles too. read more

An amazing night!! Very cheap for 3 great movies, $30.00 for 4 of us to get in!!! The bathrooms were very clean!!! A huge plus in my book!!
