Really nice bar and restaurant with great food and good prices. It's a two page menu with a nice amount of options for vegetarians, although they made my inner-Buffalonian happy when I saw Beef on Weck on the menu. I had a veggie burger and it was pretty tasty! A good meatiness - if that's what you're after. The real star was the fried cheese curds from the specials menu - salty, a hint of sweet from the light glaze on them, crunchy fried outside, and ooey gooey cheesiness. The drink prices weren't listed on the but turned out to be very reasonable. I was at Parker's with a large group and they handled us really well. We happened to be there on night with live music and the two brothers they had playing were great and part of my group kept half singing along while the rest could carry on conversation just fine. The decor is nice- old wood and gorgeous stained glass ceiling lamps that are all different. Everyone had their own favorite. The bar has a patio area that can be opened up in nice weather. Car parking is in on the street. I didn't spot any bike racks nearby but there are sign posts that could serve. It's in a very walkable downtown. read more

Enjoyed another evening here in what has become an annual visit. the savory steak salad (Char-grilled sirloin steak cooked to liking with spring greens, roasted red peppers, feta, onion, bacon bits, Kalamata olives and choice of dressing) was huge, loaded with steak done just the way it was requested. Companion had the fried fish sandwich, even tho we weren't there on a Friday. We shared 2 desserts: the turtle cheese cake and the pbexplosion cake (layers of chocolate cake and pnut butter mousse); the cheesecake was the winner here although both were very good. I think it's gone downhill a little since the name change. The menu is significantly reduced, along with the specials. Grabbed dinner with my other half, ordered a mass riot which tasted like sour orange juice, it tasted either old or the lines were dirty and the waitress kind of gaslit me a bit but agreed to swap it out for something else. I got into the football fall spirit and ordered from Parker's tonight because the Giants are playing San Francisco and my husband picked up Pumpkin ale and Oktoberfest. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich, a cheeseburger, and 20 wings (mild/hot). Within 30 minutes of ordering we arrived and waited about 5 minutes for our order. We were greeted by a hostess who was very nice and welcoming. My husband devoured the pulled pork sandwich. It tasted smokey, had nice bits of bark, and a good fat/meat ratio. We loved how it was topped with cole slaw and pickles as well. It wasn't tangy slaw, which I usually like to cut through the fattiness of the pork, but it worked and it worked well. My only complaint was that for the price ($17.00) there should have been a little bit more pork (c'mon, pork shoulders are still cheap)! My husband opted for the curly fries, which were great. You can't really go wrong with curly fries...ever. I had a cheese burger, cooked medium, and opted for onion rings on the side. It was a solid cheeseburger. Exactly what you want and exactly how you expect it to be. The onion rings were solid as well. Let's talk 'bout the wings. There's just something different about upstate wings. Flavor galore. The mild were indeed mild, a healthy (ha!) serving of butter was used tamp down the heat, but they retained great flavor. The hot wings had a nice kick in the mouth, but again, maintained flavor. They left me grabbing for my pumpkin ale (Yeah, I'm basic, what of it?) and wanting to come back for more. Stopped by this place for an early dinner and it wasn't busy at all, but it's a Tuesday so that isn't surprising. I remember seeing that this place is under new ownership, and that it's fairly recent. Due to it not being busy, I got a good feel for the vibe. Calm, quiet, and clean. The service was good, and the selection of beers, cocktails, and food was very good. I got the bacon blue cheeseburger wrap with buffalo cheese fries and the wrap was good but the fries were on a whole other level. I could eat those every day. All in all, I would go back! read more

Visited here a few days ago. Nothing impressive on the menu. Waited 45 minutes to get any food. Wings were decent, buns for burgers were stale and hard. Buffalo chicken wrap was not as ordered. French Onion soup had the cheese burnt on top. Had to remove before eating. Would have sent it back but since we waited 45 minutes for food, we had had enough. It was mid afternoon so there were just a few tables eating. It was a beautiful day and they have a small outside patio so I sat outside. The sign said to please wait to be seated but someone came over quickly and said to sit wherever I wanted. My server came over quickly and gave me the lunch special menu and the full menu. She returned in just a short while with my drink and I ordered. I asked for a recommendation for a sandwich and she suggested the turkey club. My baked onion soup came out and was very hot and the cheese was nicely broiled and melted perfectly. The soup was full of onions and I think they used croutons(?) inside. The soup had nice onion flavor, but was really dark and salty. Maybe it had been cooking too long and had over-reduced? I can't remember the last time I had a Turkey Club but this was a definite winner. It had a good amount of fillings and both the tomatoes and lettuce were nice and fresh. I didn't realize it came with cheese and it was American, not bad. I think I'd leave it off next time or sub a different kind of cheese. It was light on the mayo and delicious! Tried this place for lunch with the family. We started with spinach artichoke dip. It was pretty bland and underwhelming. My son had the kids fish sticks. They were pretty good. My wife ordered a French onion soup. This was also kind of bland. I had a blue cheese burger wrap. The wrap was pretty good. This place was pretty cool inside and had an old school feel. Service was slow and kind of rude. Waitress barely checked on us and took forever to bring the check after we were done. When we walked out she didn't even lift her head up to say goodbye. The steak fries were crispy and tasted good as well. My wife had the french onion soup and mild chicken wings. She said her meal was good. The wings were nice and crispy and not over spiced. Worst experience ever at a restaurant! My wife and I went out for dinner tonight and expected to use the $50 gift card we received for Christmas. All went well until we tried to pay the bill ($51.82) and were told they don't take the gift cards any longer. NYS law says they must be honored for 9 years. Waitress said the business was sold and in that sales contract it indicated gift cards would not be honored after xx months. Unfortunately I am not privy to that contract and have no knowledge of.. those details. Waitress called the owner and came back with the message we have 48hrs to make good on the bill before authorities are called. Rudeness. Neither my wife nor I had any money to pay now (her payday is Wed. and my retirement doesn't come in until next week). Just very angry right now! This is great place to stop and grab a bite to eat. The staff is friendly and the food is reasonably priced. They have a hot turkey sandwich that is excellent. Also, the wings are excellent, especially with the death wish sauce. Absolutely fantastic! If you are like me and wear contacts this is not the sauce to eat wings with as your fingers will burn your eyes getting your contacts out! I usually get the sauce with a tender wrap. So stopped in here after visiting Bass Pro because a workmate suggested it and I was not disappointed! First off the atmosphere here is pretty cool. I like that when it's a nice night out that they open the outside area for sitting which is cozy and neat. The service was prompt which was great and but the lack of a drink menu was disappointing. The menu is sizey but not too too big. I decided to go with the burger and wings which my wife and I split. The wings we ordered were their garlic honey wings which were pretty good, better than b-dubs but this place was no Old Union Hotel. I'd give them a 4 outta 5 for the wings. They are large and crispy which was good and for the price you get a decent amount. The sauce is what let me down a bit here. I didn't really get a garlic honey flavor. The flavor was slightly sweet, slightly garlic, but really it kind of tasted like a very very mild buffalo sauce. I was kind of confused with the flavor but they still tasted good, just didn't blow me away nor did it match the flavor profile they advertised. The burger here was a winner though. We ordered a good ole' cheeseburger, medium with all of the fixins (lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and cheese) The burger was flavorful, a good meaty flavor that was definitely seasoned rather than just thrown on the grill as meat. It was also very juicy and was just one of the best patty's I've had in awhile. The bun was big enough to fit everything but wasn't too bready. I really liked the bun at this place as it was semi-sweet-ish and didn't take or add too much flavor. Almost the perfect bun had it not been for one feature, it got soggy quick on the bottom. A quick flip of the burger changed that and it by no means was a problem, just merely an observation. The lettuce was crisp, clean and you could tell it was fresh, as well as the tomato and onion. On top of this there was plenty of vegetables too. The cheese was perfectly melted on top of the burger and the mayo brought it all together. The fries were very crisp as well and were good pub fries. The fries get a 4/5 here as they were frozen fries I could tell, nothing wrong with that but the fries at 5 guys and gorgers beat the pants off of these. Overall the experience and the price was perfect for what was ordered and I would definitely go back my next time in Auburn. This was a great choice for dinner and if you are in the area for whatever reason do stop by this place, definitely worth it. read more

We were staying in Auburn for the weekend and stopped here late on Friday getting into town. I was looking for a place with a beer and a burger. The place seemed to be empty except for one group of coaches? Sitting in the middle of the bar swearing and going wild. We watched as people were sat around them and then asked to be moved. I guess they are the locals and everyone else is expected to just deal with them. We ordered the fried vegetables, coming off of fair season I figured why not if they can do them at a county fair why not at a bar? The looked huge, only to find out that half of the basket was stale tortilla chips. We split a burger that was cooked rare which i'm not complaining about since it can be tough getting them done properly. Didn't consider stopping back through the remainder of the weekend. Ordered the Chef's Special: Taco soup that was; Hearty tomato, spicy zucchini, Chili, French Onion. It was in a crock with some broken tortilla chips and shredded cheese. The soup was more like tomato paste mixed with some beef chili; there was no spicy zucchini or trace of onion. Then again adding French onion would've been quite the contrast in taste. Also had the Chicken Fajita salad, which clearly have what was listed; grilled chicken, peppers, onions, jalapeños, cheddar-Jack cheese and tortilla chips served over romaine with sour cream and salsa. I requested to hold the sour cream and to have spicy salsa; the bartender informed me it's mild salsa and he could add a side of Buffalo sauce which I said OK because I saw the Tabasco sauce which I don't care for. The salad was mostly multi-colored tortilla chips with maybe a handful of Romaine lettuce. There was what seemed like half a chicken breast cut into about 6 thin strips, and some of the chicken was burnt. The "salad" seemed like it was made by a teenager, that dumped some leftover chicken fajita on a bowl of mediocre nacho chips, with the handful of Romaine just to appease the high school teacher. The only saving grace of salad was the fresh diced jalapeño that I discovered towards the bottom of the dish. I was hungry and ate about three quarters of it because I was hungry and dislike wasting food. After reviewing the bill I noticed that there was a $1.00 charge the tiny side of Buffalo sauce. Needless to say I won't be getting either of these items if I return here! The bar and restaurant is spacious with good lighting and several TV's to watch Buffalo Bills try to be successful. In town/just passing through and selected this place after walking up and down Genesee Street. Open air seating was nice and not too crowded feeling, waitress was prompt, meal served in a reasonable amount of time. We both had the grilled halibut. Vegetables were a bit limp/oversteamed, the fish was, well, a bit "fishy". But, we were comfortable there. An okay place. In retrospect perhaps we should have stuck with more standard pub fare and ordered a burger or grilled chicken sandwich but, hindsight is always 20/20. read more

The duck wings are so good. It has some type of sesame/teriyaki sauce on them. The chicken sangwich was really tasty also, the sweet potato fries were a little cold..
