I went shopping today for a few items I was going to need for tonight's dinner. One of the items was Parsley a very common thing to have available at a big store like Tomb Thumb. It happens the produce person was present stocking and I approached him to ask him where could I find Parsley besides the ORGANIC section, when he said we only carry organic for parsley I then asked if they had the Italian parsley when he very unhappily walked over and pointed at it. He was very impatient and was not very helpful. I'm a senior citizen and feel that lately we've become a pain to these so called employees if we even have a question. Don't get me started on their 'Digital' coupons that don't register when using the self serve checkout. I'm not saying everyone at this particular store is a grump, but someone needs to talk to this specific 6 footer, bearded produce person on what his job is about. I recently purchased some food in the deli area and was served by lovely young girl named Diamond. She was fast and efficient. I asked for recommendations and she suggested I try some sliced maple turkey.GREAT SUGGESTION. I also got some fried chicken tenders that were kind of buffalo style. ! DELICIOUS! They force you to use self check out but the employees disappear who are managing it. So you can stand there for 10 minutes waiting for them to come out of the back room even though other employees are paging them to do the fuck'n job. read more

I like the location and layout of the store. However, I've been frustrated many many times to find that I have returned home with expired products. Yesterday, it was a frozen pizza which expired 4 mos ago. Always, always check the dates on the dairy products. I complained to the dairy mgr that all the milk in the cooler was past expiration. He got mad at ME. Then, he began tossing all the milk in a garbage bin. Sheesh! Do your job or move on. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I am 7 months pregnant trying to stay safe from Covid by ordering grocery delivery. The last order I placed, I received a confirmation email with an order number. The order never showed up. It was scheduled for 5-7 pm and I needed to make a cake that night for a birthday next day. When I called they had no record of the order being placed. When I explained that I had an email with an order number I could forward them the child who was answering the phones still refused to help and also refused to get me to a supervisor. I called back 30 minutes later and spoke with a more helpful woman and she at least offered to help by calling the location to make sure the order canceled. I never got a call back but the pending charge for the order did not go through so hopefully this was taken care of. I will never try to order from this location again. read more

Tom Thumb is the Texas version of the Safeway (Von's) stores you'll find out west - same layout, same stuff. This store is convenient to the Bridlewood homes. The selection of organic produce and meats is pitifully small, and it's not the place for artisan cheeses or unusual specialty items. You CAN get all the basics and most widely distributed national brands. A few self-service checkout lanes can speed the experience. read more

I was very uncomfortable with the cleanliness and employee protocol today during my shopping experience. Upon arrival I had to search for a clean cart. One without used wipes or gloves left behind. There was no hand sanitizer at the checkouts and as I was making my way down one way isles per the directions I was encountering employees fulfilling pickup orders always going the wrong way. The deli clerk was not wearing his mask around his nose or mask. Him speaking over the meat I was ordering made me think twice before putting it into my cart. Lots of employees just hanging around but no sackers. That's bad management!!! read more

I love this store. It's s great location and on a Saturday it wasn't even busy! I had some issues with self check out but the young lady helping me was friendly and helpful with no attitude which usually seems the case with employee's working g self check out. On the plus side, the meat department does have good sales pretty frequently. The store is on the small side so some areas are limited on selection. On more than one occasion I've made it back home to find items that were expired. We just bought these dog treats, June 2018, and they are beyond expired. I went to Tom Thumb today to specifically to buy a Marie Callenders pecan pie. It specifically showed the pecan pie in the weekly ad for $4.99. There were none on the shelf to buy. I talked to the manager and he told me the pecan pie was not " part of their set??? and that he was going to get in touch with another store to get a nuber to order it. Lot of good that does me. Went here on 7/27/15. I was looking those pasta sauces in the deli area near the fresh pasta. I literally looked at 5 marinara sauces that had been expired 1 week. This is repulsive. If something says use or freeze by 7/21 why is it still on the shelves for customers. The sad thing is that I went to the Tom Thumb on 3040 and had the same issue. Tom Thumb is the closest store to our house. We go there once every few months due to sheer convenience. We regret it. Every. Single. Time. I don't remember the last time I left there without an employee not saying a single word to me as I checked out, or prices not being processed accurately (tonight: bananas were processed by the cashier as a squash overcharging us by $3). Their prices are higher than surrounding stores as well. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 2.3 miles to Kroger just up the street. More friendly employees, better prices and never a mistake on the receipt. read more

This is one of the neatest Tom Thumb's I've been to. They've got a good selection of items - prices the same as the other Tom Thumbs in the area - and the store is easily navigated. It's great with the Starbucks at the entrance (they've got really friendly staff there). Parking is no problem - no more than at any other supermarket. read more

I have visited this store numerous times but have been disappointed with the customer service. At this store you must bring your auto insurance certificate in order to get your tags, the store on Flower Mound road does not require it. The young individuals did not seem to care and called their manager and I was told that they don't have the capability to do it without the certificate. I think it is rediculous that I have to show the certificate to get my state inspection and then again to get my tags. Come on people! Also, I have smelled spoiled milk or meat when entering this store many times when entering. Management needs to step up and get some things fixed! read more

This is my third time this month that I had to load my groceries in the cart. If they do get loaded, 9 times out of 10 the heavy groceries are being placed on top of the fragile ones! After the swine flu outbreak a couple years ago, most grocery stores stopped handing out free cookies because of "germs". Honestly, I think this was all constructed by the government to save money on the amount of cookies given out as samples. If it weren't for the proximity to my home, I wouldn't go here. The produce is terrible, I often find expired items while I'm unpacking at home. The customer service is below average, pricing is above average (Tom Thumb in general). I like the people at the Starbucks inside, otherwise I find the morale lacking. Kroger has better quality produce, somewhat cheaper prices and Market Street has better quality, better staff, more amenities (but $$$). Maybe it's a management issue, maybe Tom Thumb in general just sucks. I won't generalize, but not a fan of the 2-3 locations I've lived close to. This place is no exception. read more

This store's pharmacy lacks customer service!! I have a recurring prescription that they have notes on and they still give me the wrong pills when I get a refill. Today I needed an antibotic and instead of calling me to let me know they don't have it - they tell me when I go to pick up my prescription a store 5 miles away has it. Total lack of customer service, no accountability and didn't care that a person with a fever is out running around trying to get medicine.
