Enjoyed the food here! Delicious, fresh and flavorful Italian food. Everything here is made fresh so allow a little time after ordering for the food to arrive at your table. It's worth the wait. The service was very good, as our server was attentive, friendly and helpful. The portions here are large but you will want to save room for dessert. On the menu it is recommended that if you want to order a cookie, let the server know when you order your meal. This is true. Cookies are made to order. So good. The filling in the cannoli was delicious too. There were three of us and we all ordered something different so we could taste different foods. Wise choice! Never tried anything here but the Pizza and recommend this place for only that. Pizza is a thin crust and one of the best pizzas that I have ever had. Service can be a little slow at times if deciding to eat inside so calling ordering ahead of time is recommended. The interior is decorated with lattice ceilings and faux grapes and greenery stapled at an attempt to achieve an ambiance that does not quite reach what was likely intended. Looking past the dated and rather tacky interior, though clean, and focusing on enjoying a great thin crust pizza will not leave you disappointed. read more

Meh. I love the 70s Italian motif, kinda cheesy but fun. The cheesy motif is the only cheese you won't be up charged for. My angel hair pasta was overcooked and $2 for 3 little Chef Boyardee sized meatballs is steep. My friend didn't finish his angel hair and clams. His wife said the eggplant was very difficult to cut. The only person who was happy was my wife (yay!!), she had pizza. It's been about 8 years since we've been here last but my buddy wanted to try it. A little hole in the wall Italian restaurant. Pasta comes in a huge plate, but the serving is small. Meat sauce was good, but if I'm paying $10+ give your customers the deserved amount. Bread isn't unlimited so save it for your meal. The decor is a little off the wall. There's a small room by the bathrooms for "private dining". Kinda cracked me up. The women's bathroom looks like a 13 year old's bedroom. Very clean with a Paris theme...Italy and Paris...interesting. The service was pretty solid. I wouldn't go back unless I was stranded on Barber Road for some reason. Been meaning to try this place since I moved to town. Finally tried it tonight and my family was disappointed. As another review said, my mom and boyfriend also smelled mildew and dust. Men's bathroom looked like it was completely stained. The bathroom smelled like mothballs and was just very outdated. Service was slow and she didn't listen to specific requests, but overall she was nice. Mom got a salad and it tasted like it was from a bag, stale and very small portion also. Garlic bread was the size of a sub bun. Mom got the gnocchi with Alfredo sauce. I ordered a mini plain pizza and my boyfriend ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza. The Alfredo sauce was straight water and did not taste like Alfredo at all. Mini pizza was the size of a hockey puck and was very bland. Chicken Buffalo pizza had no Buffalo taste and the chicken looked like it came from a can. Couldn't drink tea or even water because it comes from a well. Decoration is tacky and overboard, booths were outdated and location is not good either. We could see into the kitchen and dishes were piled up and the cook was not wearing gloves when he came up near the register. I'd only recommend this place if you don't have taste buds. read more

Once you see that you have to pay to have melted cheese on your lasagna or even shredded cheese on a salad, you'll leave. Isn't melted cheese a must on lasagna?! Oh and you know those paper ketchup holders that they have at Burger King? You get a cup of sherbet after dinner, that's literally what they put it in and bring for $1.50 if ordered separatley! Their house dressing is sweet and sour! Shouldn't it be like ITALIAN! You should see people in this place all gussied up, why?! Just because the food is way over priced and dimly lit doesn't mean it's the place to have a romantic or celebratory dinner! Fazoli's is more high class. Good food. But the pricing is ridiculous!! The manger/owner was so rude i couldn't believe it. I ordered a two topping pizza with gluten free crust. That's 4 extra. I get it. But for a two item pizza, on the menu, it says $10. I ordered half ban peppers/on and half double pep. I was charged for a plain large (I believe 7.75) and each topping was an extra 1.25 or something close to that. So they charged me 1.25 for ban peps, 1.25 for onions, 1.25 for pepperoni and another 1.25 for more peps with the base of 7.75. So I got half of toppings and was charged full price for each. I wanted a two topping and like every other pizza place if you split a two topping pizza, it's a flat rate of whatever the two topping price is. And most pizza places it's like $10-12 for unlimited pizzas anyways. So I don't get why they think that's how pizza places work. When asking about it, the server said to the manager, "ugh stay here bc I knew she was going to complain?!?!" The manager instantly said the gf crust is $4. No shit. I'm not asking you about that. I kept trying to understand their reasoning and he was such an ass about it. Kept cutting me off and kept bringing up the gf crust. Like I know!!!! I'm talking about the toppings. Then this random bitchy server chimed in and brought up the gf crust also!!! Unreal!!!!! Mind your business and act professional. They wouldn't explain to me why they charge the way they do and I just didn't get it. He just kept bringing up the crust thing and that every pizza place charges that way also for toppings. Wrong. Other reviews say the same thing about the prices and bad service. I've never been to a place like that with how they charge. The server tried to explain in a nice way, although rude at first, just bc I can guarantee she saw how much of a prick her coworkers were. Still makes no sense but whatever. I won't be back, not that they would care bc the manager is rude and unprofessional but since I'm not the only one to say this about this place, clearly your business needs an attitude and price adjustment. read more

My girlfriend and I have started to try all the different local restaurants in the area and this place was definitely on my list. I had heard and read mixed accounts of the food and restaurant as a whole and wanted to form my own opinion. That opinion was quickly formed when I walked into the restaurant and was overwhelmed with a very strong mildewey smell. It was the kind of smell that made me think of Gordon Ramsay talking about horrible smells of restaurants he tries to save. Looking past the odor and the dusty, fake grapes hanging from vines and lights I decided that I still wouldn't make a decision on how I felt until after the food. What people say about the portions given is true, I was quite disappointed in paying what I did for two kids meals and two adults when for the same amount of money down the road I could get double the amount of food and homemade pasta for the same cost of one of the dinners with cheese. The servers were a good redeeming quality, they were nice and attentive but I feel the kitchen may have just given up especially with lacking any presentation and lazily. Put together provolone bread. I can't say I would recommend coming here when there are much better options for the same price points. read more

Been coming here since I was a kiddo. Interior is certainly dated but I absolutely love their food. Pasta sauce is fantastic as is their pizza. Lately it seems their beer menu is lacking with a lot out of stock each time. They also switched Italian beers to Menabrea which isn't quite as good as the lighter Peronis they had before. read more

nothing special, the decor is very cheap Italian Vinyard themed, desperately needed updated and cleaned up. We tried the calzone, mediocre, on the small side, and the pasta sampler was the same. I've posted this review of Angie's on Yelp but since I compare it to Tomaso's I'll post here as well. Tomaso's is my go-to for comfort food. "Had dinner and a beer here this past Monday night. I prefer Tomaso's up the road but they're closed Monday night and I forgot that, so wanting Italian this was the closest option. The last time I ate here was a couple of years ago after moving back to the area and I was disappointed as I was expecting what I remembered. I have a long history with Angie's since I grew up near Barberton and my father ate here frequently as he worked nearby (and knew the original owners). My Mom loved the meatball sandwich and it was the first place I ever picked up a check (I was 16 and took my mom to lunch after passing my driving test). But that was well before Angie's was sold and I believe that the original family/owners now has Tomaso's, which would explain why I prefer it. The pizza at Angie's is OK. I think the cheese is too creamy and you can't taste the olive oil. Angie's has a nice sports bar. I don't like sports bars but as I'm single I usually eat in the bar and frankly I'd prefer a bit more personality out of the servers. One was rather curt and severe in her interaction and appeared to want to be anywhere but where she was. The guy sitting next to me agreed when I commented upon it and said he also missed the old Angie's and also preferred Tomaso's, which uses the best ingredients in its pizza - tastes like the old Angie's pizza - and they also make their own sauce, which is excellent. Angie's is certainly popular, especially with families and the bar is always busy, so they're doing something right, but for my money I'll drive a couple miles north up Barber Road to Tomaso's, which has better food. No bar, though. Still, a more authentic neighborhood Italian restaurant experience and has great service." read more

Very fond memories of dining here while I was growing up (1970's-80's). One of my mom's favorite pizza places. The plastic grapes hanging from the ceiling gives an authentic Italian feel. I still like the pizza from here, but the service has really been lacking in quality lately. Most recently, I had to leave without getting our full meal. Supposedly our pizza was "dropped." Our waitress had told us a couple of times that she was going to check on our order. So either she lied to us, or the cook lied to her? Either way, we won't be dining here often. The place is nice, and has always has been clean. The Service is ok, nothing to write home to mom about, But it's never been too bad, When you order take out it seems like the don't start working on it untill you get there, but it still taste good. Basically the food is Good, not great, Prices are a little high, and service is slightly above average.
