If I could give a no stars, I would. I bought and received a rug late last year and paid about $4K for a rug that I was told was very durable and would last a very long time. Not true, as within weeks I noticed snagging and then months went by and I noticed that the snagging did not stop. I notified Tommy Bahamas that I was not certain what was happening, that we did not wear shoes in the home and that we were very careful with the rug. They told me they would reach out to their manufacturer and I heard back from TB that their manufacturer said the snagging was normal and to cut it and asked what kind of vacume I used. I have a Toshiba vacume and put it on delicate while vacuuming and only used this rug 1/3 of the time. I just received a email from the Manager at the Tommy Bahama store in Fashion Island, that she has gone back and forth with this manufacturer and that they told her that it must be a strong suction vacume or a pet scratching the rug and they would not replace or return this 100+ snag rug back. Please beware that if you buy a rug from Tommy Bahama and if it is popular in the manufacturers opinion, there is no recourse. read more

We are visiting family in SoCal and staying at Newport Coast for the weekend. Last night, Friday, we dined at the Tommy Bahama Home. It's a store and a restaurant combined. The servers were all cheerful, friendly and energetic. Their Southern California location reflects the youthful energy of this area. Food-wise, their menu was full of fresh seafood items. What I had was deliciously cooked. My wife ordered chicken because she's not fond of seafood. My 2 sisters ordered seafood too and both enjoyed them. They know this place very well that is why we ended up here. The ambiance has that SoCal youthful energy and so it was a delightful night to dine with my family. Overall, this place has great food, great location and frankly, their prices are pretty reasonable considering their location! I'll come back here anytime. Their store is not bad either. Poor service, old fish and cold when it should've been served hot. We ordered soup and had to ask for spoons & by the time that we got the spoons the soup was cold. The manager was kind enough to reduce our bill but we don't go out to restaurants for free food, we wanted good food and service. We will not be coming back any time soon. Oh how I wish I was there again enjoying the mediocrity of this Tommy Bahama restaurant in beautiful OC!! Cool restaurant with great live music kind of in a retail store in Newport Beach. We had a very sweet waitress who is very bubbly and effervescent!! Our food was solid and the service was good enough to give the whole Tommy Bahama store and restaurant a solid 4 stars, more for the after dinner shopping experience than the food. They have a product called CB 5 which mimics CBD without uh CBD. It's pricy unless they have a 50% off sale going on which they did when we were there. A group of six of us dropped in here for dinner on the terrace last evening; we had a very enjoyable experience. Our group is in the habit of ordering from all over the dinner & drinks menu then share among group. Espresso martini, mojito and cucumber cocktail and wines by the glass served with four or five appetizers suggested by our server - everything was excellent. Our entrees also suggested by our waiter were all fantastic. We loved the Sancerre and the Pinot Noir. We thought our server was outstanding; attentive, knowledgeable with superb timing. Beautiful furnishings. Horrible experience with staff. My partner and I were followed around by staff pretending to be on their phones taking photos of products to stay near us so they could ease drop on our conversations to find out what we were saying and interested in only to attempt to manipulate us. It's very staged and deliberate. As an aside, their simple petrified wood bowls that are $1,200 can be found direct from many on Etsy for $80. How do I know? Because after we were chased around I chose to look elsewhere due to the egregiousness and this pricing fact was revealed. This is predatory. All of it. Sadly we own rooms full of their furniture and artwork. Times certainly have changed. Buyer beware. Consider other stores like Aurhaus, they treated us fairly and courteously without having paid a dime prior. Perhaps in hearing how badly this was received the hoovering will change. read more

I am definitely not the first person to make note of it but be prepared to have your presence and intelligence insulted if you don't work with the right people in this store. I have visited this store hundreds of times and worked with various employees who were genuinely helpful. Recently, I found a piece I wanted to purchase but it seems that over the weekend, I walked in at the right time. A few people have mentioned there is an employee (mature slimmer lady with blond hair) who probably hates you more than her job. Her body language, attitude, and responses to your questions are surely "moving." I found a cocktail table in an Hermes Reef Glass Top over a hammered metal frame. It's rather unique, but as mentioned, the associate I encountered was intolerable. At this store, it was priced at $4,095 but I took a picture of the tag, typed in into my phone with every intent to maneuver around this employee. Apparently the manufacturer was Lexington Home Brands, and this location is not the only location authorized to sell their pieces. I contacted other retailers through the Lexington Website for the exact make and model in a different showroom. It was being sold with an asking price of $2549. Very helpful indeed compared to $4,095 Thanks to a helpful employee at this location, I was not only able to source a piece I wanted and save my dignity, but I also saved an extra $1,660. read more

Lexington Tommy Bahama is a bunch of junk. I spent over $10,000 on a dining room, sofa, chair and chest and everything except the chest has shown significant wear. My previous set was 35 years old and looked much better than this 5 year old set. The dining room table chips and won't hold stain when we tried to repair it. The "leather" on the chairs is also worn and shows white spots and the metalic finish on the arms has worn away to show the based material. The entire set needs to be trashed. It is very frustrating as it was not cheap. The $10,000 was the sale price. read more

This store has always been know for having gorgeous furniture. But, even more important is how you are treated when their is a challenge to be addressed. We have spent a great deal of money at this store and we had an issue with a few of our dining room chairs after only one month of owning them. When the repairman came to make the repair he found even more issues. The very next day, we walked into the store and spoke with the assistant store manager, Kara Bishop about the chair problem. She listened well, empathized with our frustration and immediately came to a solution. She refunded the cost of the six chairs and helped us find a different chair that would meet our needs. No pushback, no up charging and instead we had a employee that made us feel welcomed, made my parents feel valued and explained everything to my elderly parents so that we fully understood the new transaction. Kara Bishop is an amazing designer, assistant store manager and excellent at customer service. We will always stay Tommy Bahamas/Lexington Loyal Customers. I have called this store at least 4 times and every time they first ask who my salesperson was making it very clear they won't help me unless they sold me the item (disgusting customer service) and the last time I called they promised to call me back with an update and never did. I am truly so frustrated. We bought a cheaper custom couch to go with our expensive Tommy Bahama ottoman and the couch arrived within weeks and was perfect. Unbelievably good! Tony really took care of us. Ask for him. I started with a very dirty vodka martini with stuffed blue cheese olives. The best I've ever had. The coconut shrimp appetizer came highly recommended and was really good. The salmon was perfectly cooked and deliciously flavored. I've opened a new dental practice here in Newport Beach ("Jeremy Heldt, DDS") and have come to this store probably 5-6 times this year to buy artificial orchids and succulents. As a business owner, it's tough to maintain real plants...watering, trimming, pruning, etc. not to mention burning up valuable staff time. Could not be happier with my purchases here: the orchids and succulents are so real that no one can tell they're artificial. Everyone asks where I bought the flowers and are shocked that they're artificial. Have received so many compliments from my patients, staff, and friends. I've photographed my dental treatment room with the plants to market my office on Instagram, Yelp, Google, and Facebook. I started off by getting an inexpensive artificial plant at Ikea for $15 but the quality was apparent. Then went to Crate & Barrel, then Michael's, then found this place! Yes, its more expensive but if you're looking for handcrafted pieces that you'll keep for a long time, then this is the place to be. The staff are all so genuine and warm, helpful and gave some great ideas for my office. They have a large collection of custom arrangements in stock. They can also customize an arrangement if you like a certain type of container pot or color, just let them know and they'll have it tailor made within a few weeks. We cannot even say enough about our incredible experience tonight for dinner- Blakelyn was the best waitress I've Ever had in my life! We came with our family of five (One of which was an 84-year-old grandmother with a walker) and our 2 dogs-- we were a bit of a chaotic mess as you could imagine! Then when we got seated we couldn't stop complaining about the glare of the sun! You would not believe how pleasant, helpful, and just all around amazing Blakelyn was through it all. She moved our entire group herself to a better table without an Ounce of annoyance or frustration as anyone would have responded in that kind of stressful situation. But instead she smiled had a huge heart for my mother and her walker. Through it all she continued to bring waters and sodas and refills without any hesitation and was just an all-around rockstar and we could not have asked for more!! Good luck getting a delivery of items you ordered and pre-paid in full. Do not believe the 6-8 week window and do not believe they will ever contact you. I have to keep calling them, they finally confirmed my October order was on a truck from Carolina on January 7, I had to call again on the 28th to ask what's going on only to find out it's sitting in the warehouse supposedly waiting for inspection. About to enter the 4th month since placing my order and Tommy Bahama Home of Newport could care less about completing my delivery or calling the sub-contracted delivery company to provide me a timetable for delivery. Why is this so difficult? BTW, I paid extra for delivery when later I found out you can order on Tommy Bahama Furniture website and get FREE delivery. I will NEVER buy from this store again and I regret not reading reviews about this vendor before we placed our order... Buyer be ware!!! read more

The only reason this location gets two stars instead of one is because Jennifer Bamford is a great employee. The rest of them are awful. My mom and I went in there together with the tear sheets Jennifer had given us to go make a purchase of a sofa and coffee table after doing the measurements in my mother's home. Jennifer wasn't there, but this awful redhead and this other heinous woman with short blond hair certainly were. My mom was sitting on the sofa to give it one final comfort-test, and the creepy redhead approached and very condescendingly said, "Well, YOU look comfortable..." as if my mother was trying to get a free hang out on a Brookstone massage chair for two hours. I explained that we were working with someone already, but she stood there silent and staring. My mom asked if they were still doing their sale, and the woman said yes, for 17%. My mom had thought it was 30%, but didn't really care either way, and the woman snapped back "17% IS STILL A GOOD DEAL" - yes, we know. Relax. After deciding to leave, we were trying to exit the store (we were in a cramped corner) and my mom politely said "excuse me" to the short haired blond woman so we could squeeze by, who begrudgingly moved, rolled her eyes, and replied "There are several other routes to exit the store." Are you kidding me? I guess that's bored-housewife-forced-to-get-a-job customer service at it's finest. As someone who worked at Fashion Island in various stores for years, I can safely say that in no way is their service the Fashion Island standard, and that store needs a serious employee overhaul by management. read more
