Was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of this always busy corner bar/restaurant. Was there on a busy Friday evening f which I thought should be a long wait. Happy to say I was wrong. After getting at drinks at the bar I was told by the bartender that a seat around or at the bar would open shortly. No sooner was she done explaining the seating & ordering procedure that 2 seats became available The rest of the evening was spent eating a Cuban sandwich and "World Famous"Coconut Shrimp. (Their words not mine). The Cuban was the best I've had since Miami last year and the Shrimp was raved about the rest of the evening. The 3rd Coconut Shrimp that our visitor had sampled during his week long trip. Drinks were generous too. Shrimps were cooked perfectly (not rubbery like other places). I gave in to one of the dessert offerings. The key lime pie. It was well balanced. Not too tarty or sweet. Just perfect. We liked the place and wished we could have tried other dishes but we had a concert to attend. Just moved here and I have stopped here three times because it is close. I have always sat at the bar because I'm a party of one. Have to say the main bartender is a big douche and seems quite intimidated by males as all he does is throw shade. I'm always having to ask for another drink or a refill. He is friendly to all the women though. I'm surprised he isn't urinating on the seats. The food was mediocre and overpriced with small portions. Honestly California Pizza Kitchen around the corner has better food, drinks, and service. So I won't be coming back. read more

Staying across the parking lot at the Hyatt and this is becoming our favorite go-to in the evening. Today is the third day in a row we have come here for happy hour (3pm-6pm). We always have great food and cocktails when at the Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar at Coconut Point Mall in Estero. I keep forgetting to take pics of our food since it's so delicious we typically just dive right in (in the future, I'll have to share some). :) On our last visit, my 15 year old son ordered the cheeseburger sliders and he loved them! I had to take a bite and they were very juicy, NOT overcooked and dry. I ordered the spicy chicken salad (basil vinaigrette on the side which was better than expected). We love the ambiance and vibe at the Marlin Bar after taking a break from shopping. Other times I've visited here, I had the blackened shrimp tacos and Mahi Mahi tacos which both are SO good. The staff is attentive, friendly & they keep the restaurant clean and sanitized. We will of course be back -- hopefully soon! read more

I didn't know Tommy Bahama had a bar type place to visit. This is a great option if you are at coconut point and want good food. You have to walk up to the bar & order drinks & food. They give you a plastic marker with a number on it & they bring the food/drinks over to the table. Tommy Bahama food is never a bad idea. Keep in mind, the later in the evening you go, the more likely are the favorites going to be sold out & unavailable. For around $12 you can get a couple of tacos or a panini with no side. The food was tasty at least. Cocktails are around $12 as well. For example, I had the Key Lime Pie Martini. I was pretty good!
