I've been to Ford's Garage in Estero a few times when visiting friends, and it's consistently been a good experience. We're usually with a large group, and I have to say the service is great--attentive and accommodating despite our party size. The portion sizes are generous, especially for the price, and the food always hits the spot. I appreciate that they allow dogs in their outdoor seating area. With three dogs, it's a huge plus. My husband and I enjoy their beer selections. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between casual and fun, we love all their auto decor. We were starving after getting off a flight at Ft Myers airport and were scrambling for a place to eat. Ford's came up on an internet search and boy am I glad it did! This is located at the Miromar outlet and we were told it was going to be a 30-40 minute wait but ended up being 5 (!). It was my husband and 12 year old twins, we all found things on the menu to enjoy. I had the Ford's signature burger with no bun (I'm gluten free) and the truffle fries which were REALLY good, in fact one of my twins said they were the best truffle fries they had ever had! Back again at Fords Garage for one of the best Buffalo Chicken sandwiches available. Service was friendly, although using the standby list didn't help much as they wear short staffed and he had to continue to wait after our allocated despite being on the list- but this wasn't a big deal. Fords Garage has so many great food options, and I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here. The only negative is even after all these years they continue to deceive customers by incorrectly calculating the tip after tax- which is an inappropriate money grab as customers should never be tipping on taxes. So don't follow their tipping suggestions table at the bottom of the bill. I don't know why this restaurant continues to play this game and compromises their ethics this way, but if you can get past that the food is great! read more

The first time I visited Ford's Garage, it was just to use the restroom while shopping. And the restroom theming tied to the whole garage/tires/maintenance shop was so on point! We had quite a long wait on a weekend evening since the mall was crazy and an Everblades game was about to happen next door at Hertz Arena (our final destination, also). After about a forty minute wait, we were seated at a table inside, which was great since it was SO hot outside, even in May. Our server was really nice, but busy. He had someone else come help get out drink order so that we weren't waiting, which showed excellent teamwork and communication. We all ordered burgers, since they have so many different versions from which to choose. My friend was also really excited because they offered gluten-free buns for her food allergy. My mother and I went there today and it was a terrible experience. Right after getting our table we sat for about 10 mins without a simple table greeting. After our appetizers hit the table we never saw our server again. Our burgers both came out over cooked and we i didn't even get the chance to send it back. Sent a request out to the manager. Prior to going inside while going to the nearby restroom I checked the outdoor patio for availability. There were several tables available with umbrellas. We went inside and asked for an outdoor seat in the shade. The hostess said there were no seats available in the shade. At first I was going to challenge her, but thought maybe it's the policy of the restaurant to only seat groups of 3 or more outside. As she walked us to a booth, the thought of her saying nothing was available bothered me. The manager must have noticed how disgusted I looked as he stopped by our table. I explained to him I didn't appreciate the hostess lieing about the absence of outdoor seats. My wife saw him walk and talk to the hostess in question. Mot sure what he said. The restaurant's vintage décor, which includes vintage gas pumps and a Ford Model T that serves as the focal point of its spacious bar area, adds to its allure. We're fans of the Ford's Garage restaurants. We find everyone in the family can find something to enjoy and we've had consistent, good experiences at the various locations we tried. While they have quite an extensive menu, we tend to order and enjoy their burgers. We found the same thing to be true at the Estero location. First off, it was a beautiful day to enjoy our meal outside. We weren't the only ones with this idea as there was a bit of a wait for a table but the make it easy to get your name in and wander around the adjacent stores a bit while you wait for a text indicating your table is ready. We started with a side of cheese curds which were a tasty way to start off while we waited for our meals. We both ordered items off their special menu. My husband went with the Bumper to Bumper Buffalo Blue Cheese Burger. He knew this was traditional angus with buffalo sauce and treatment and really enjoyed how it was put together. The manager, Adam, came by and introduced himself and made sure everything was as we expected.
