Ok, so the only reason they don't get 5 stars is because the Margherita pie is well, not what I consider a true Margherita pie. Mostly wholeish tomatoes when it should be a rustic chunky sauce, surrounding islands of whole milk mozzarella cheese slices and basil. That reminds me, where was the sauce? That being said, it was good, just not bangin.' Anyhoo, also ordered the Lumberjack pie and it was good. I normally do not like a busy pie, but it was tasty. Best damn garlic knots. EVER. Came in for Bloody Marys and breakfast during the town wide tag sale. Holy moly did we ever get blown away! We were not expecting to have such filling sandwiches. The smell coming from the restaurant when we got out of the car was delicious. Very accommodating to my family with 3 little kids. We got the cheese pizza and butter pasta for the kids - as you would expect. The hot wings were great and not so spicy that you could not enjoy them. Being from the New Haven area, we are always reluctant to get pizza away from home. My husband was itching for a pizza, so here we are! It doesn't look like much; a small building with some tables set up outside, with some Halloween decorations. Walking in the front brings you to pick up and counter service. The mozzarella sticks were tasty. Nothing special, but good. The marina sauce was pretty good, too. The pizzas were what we expected as a small. Bigger than a personal size, with slices cut large. Being used to New Haven, thin crust pizza, we weren't expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised!! The crust was thin and crisp, the bianca pizza was a bit thicker than the pepperoni. The toppings were abundant, with lots of mozzarella! The crust was a bit bland, but the cheese was yummy! We did eat most of the pizzas, leaving only 2 pieces behind. The bartender had offered a free beer since we ate more than he expected, almost finishing! We chatted about the 80s rock music playing and football. Others at the bar seemed to be regulars. My husband and I tried food from there tonight. We usually only get a pizza but tonight we decided to go for it. My husband had veal Parmesan with spaghetti and he said it was so amazing and he also had mozzarella sticks they were also delicious. I had a ham sub and I have to say it was exactly the way I like it. I also had an order of fries which to my surprise they were real French fries they also were delicious. Also we didn't eat in, we had our food delivered. Next time we will come in and enjoy our meal. Doesn't have the best curb appeal but good is good. Their pizza is good but they should use a bit more sauce based on three different pizza orders. Next time I will tell them to add more sauce. The large pizza is not as large as you would expect if you are use to NYC or Long Island style but there crust taste is far better than any others in the North Country. Eggplant parm hero sandwich is quite large and very good. Not at all like the thin sliced deep fried bread crumbs that most place try to pass off. They babe a bar area in the rear that serves drafts and some outdoor seating that's rather noisy from cars passing. Prices are a bit high but everything seems to be high these days. read more

My husband and I came across Tommy Guns on the way home heading north, and we had a great experience! We ordered a large cheese pizza and the antipasto salad with Italian dressing and ranch on the side. The salad was made with fresh lettuce, roasted red peppers, banana peppers, fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced salami, sandwich pepperoni and provolone and topped with Kalamata olives. So good! The pizza was delicious! The crust was fresh and there was a generous amount of cheese. My only regret is that we didn't take photos to post for all to see. Exactly what we were looking for today, something fairly quick and tasty! I got 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and my daughter got a turkey sub loaded with all her favorite toppings! Well much against my better judgement (see where that tales me) we went here one night when the temperature was so high that most restaurants were closed.I am SO GLAD we came! Our whole family enjoyed the piazza, garlic knots and hot heroes/sandwiches. The Italian sauce was just great. We loved it so much that when we came back a few weeks later we drove 30 minutes to eat here and it got better!!!! We ate outside and just enjoyed ourselves (they have lots of seating inside also).
